The Canucks had an amazing run, many records were set or broken. I am still blown away at Demko's performance against Vegas. He turned that series around, he got inside their heads. Towards the end there, you could see in their faces, emotions, body language they couldn't figure Demko out.
Is there anything better than hearing Chris Cuthbert yell "SCORES!"? The man is one of the best in the business. Canucks future is bright, looking forward to next year.
He's not built for losing in the playoffs. You can't carry a team for the entire regular season but he can take quite a load of responsibilty in the playoffs. The best is yet to come. You can't ask for a better captain than Linden but Horvat has some of that Linden type of on-ice leadership. On ice leadership. If Horvat doesn't seal the deal for Vancouver's first cup nobody will.
I miss Tony so much. Such a disgrace they managed to let go of such a hard working solid hometown kid at a bargain. He's literally more reliable than any of our d men at the moment.
This brings a tear to my eye remembering game 7 against Vegas I vividly remember turning on the T.V. In game 7 and watching petey and boeser on a 2 on 0 and Lehner saving it with the tip of his skate if only that went in 😭😭
6:13 This stretch pass is utterly insane, and it doesn't get talked about often enough. This sort of talent is exactly what makes a player like Hughes belong amongst the elite defenders. If he passes it literally any other way (ie, harder/softer, different angle), he's either missing Bo or passing the puck straight to the Blues defender.
Horvat reminded me a lot of Logan Couture during this playoff run for Vancouver. Absolute beast and was one of the main reasons Vancouver got where they did
It was a wonderful playoff run and although I had to pay some money to watch some of the games it was worth it. Cant wait until this coming season. Although we lost some good players to free agency this is going to be a step to the first Canucks stanley cup.
@@KashDarby i kind of feel like Demko got in their heads, pretty much broke their confidence / swagger. they were not the same after facing the Canucks.
Lowkey I think this run hurt Vancouver in the long term. Similarly to 2015, it gave the Canucks management false hope that the team was a lot better than it actually was, which led to them committing to becoming contenders too quickly.
Its a shame that Toffoli was out for alot of the playoffs. If he had of been healthy and in the line up, I do believe they would of been a little better, not that they were bad, not at all.
2024 we might be able to repeat this run. But with a cup this time.. at the moment there is 5 key guys that need to man T F up tho and help pull some weight
I didn't hear Myers name once or Schmitt's either but I did hear Markstrom, Taney, Stetcher and Toffoli's name a lot. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm ?

When Vegas lost the next round, they still mentioned how Demko had the entire team doubting themselves.

Yeah. Hearing John shorthouse announce Canucks goals. All us 'nucks fans love the John and John show
Horvat was an absolute beast this playoffs. He's BUILT for the postseason.

Honestly the Canucks are built for the Playoffs.

Also, with the series win over the wild, this run felt way longer than round 2 elimination
So many emotions especially when stetchy scored for his dad🥺

Nice to watch this now and remind myself what the Canucks looked like when they played with heart... what a terrible off-season.

The way the video ends with demko like that makes me kinda sad
look at him now, he’s an absolute stud
some absolute beauty goals that playoff year. Shame we just couldn't figure out that last game. Bubble Demko and the top line were on fire.
BRO WE TOOK OUT THR DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS BROOOO THATS NUTSS
I have a feeling they’ll be going farther than that in the near future
i mean we got to game 7 again.. but the same result😪
I just love the amount of variety in goal scorers. Seems like everyone had at least one goal to their name :D
Ima try to bring the memories back
👌👏
I miss this. I miss playoffs. Please make a run to playoffs. 🙏
After watching these goals for what feels like the first time, I can't wait to watch this year's proper playoffs in front of a crowd!
This was fun to watch! Hope they can go farther next year

I had no doubt that we would've done better against Dallas compared to how Vegas faced them
