Morrison's JLA is easily the best JL run I've read. It's epic in scale and doesn't have any filler. I wish writers today would structure there stories like this instead of following Benids' example and writing for the trades. Also the best Batman/JL story ever Tower of Babel by Waid is squeezed in the middle of this run. It was a great time to read JL. Top that off with DC 1,000,000, wow what a time.

The JLA by Grant Morrison and Howard Porter is the height of superhero comics, one of the best runs ever. And I loved Porters art it gave the feeling of vertigo (not the great comicbook company)Great praise to all involved . I was a big Kyle Raynor Green Lantern fan.Before reading this I suggest people pick up Mark Waids JLA story "A midsummers nightmare" It has clues to understand Morrisons writing, which if I told you what that was, it would be to much of a spoiler.Geoff Johns JSA was also awesome.

Morrison’s JLA basically:
1. JLA Emergency
2. Bad guy kicks dem asses
3. Kyle & Wally sent to other dimension (plus korny fuckin’ banter)
4. Wonder Woman & Aquaman fight bad guys (like a buddy cop movie)
5. BAT GOD
6. Superman wins through the power of hope.
