Its crazy how he is talking about money laundering and tax evasion and somehow people are turning it into a meme and think hes a victim. "I didnt want my sponsor money taxed so i put it as venture capital into this company and hoped they paid me back even though i sold majority ownership and didnt have a contract with them anymore"
I don't even understand how ludwig is not noticing $3M of missing income over just a couple of years, surely there was a couple big sponsors in there, he never noticed he wasnt paid for them? He's breaded but surely not that breaded. Did he never look at a balance sheet or were they faked? Given that its worker owned, surely the employees have access to the broad-strokes numbers too, right? Missing tax payments too... I don't understand, do they not have an accountant? And the person who figured this out was Aiden who doesn't even work there. It's too much to be incompetence, but what is the motive if they never embezzled money for themselves and just used it to make offbrand seem more successful?
He’s said before he doesn’t know how to check his bank account. The idea is he pays people to worry about that stuff for him so he can spend his time on making content which is what he’s good at. My guess is it showed up as income, so when he looked at the balance sheet every quarter it showed they had money and he said great. What was the motivation? This person wanted to keep them and their friends collecting a paycheck. Maybe they thought it would turn around.
@@Kvothe4 sounds like he's hired multiple people who have failed to do the most basic, day-one aspects of their jobs or have knowingly deceived him for years. It doesn't take longer than a minute to check if you've received a payment, and another minute to text an assistant to follow it up. When you're working with this much money and have so many employees you cannot be this hands off and naïve
@@SoyAngellll Calculating his spending rate (insane) plus paying employees (generously) vs sponsor money plus adsense plus contracts, I think his net worth is at most 3,5 million. Good news is he makes a lot of money really fast.

only the event side of it is shutting down, the game publishing side is not going anywhere
it takes an unfathomable amount of incompetence to not notice 3 million dollars missing
damn pirate software so real for forgoing his pay, that shows how much he believes in offbrand

its kind of wild hes not super mad about losing an amount of money that would literally be life changing for 99% of society
When he found out he probably had to sit for a while.
to be fair he probably is a multimillionaire.

@@batcarpet1225 he showed his vods revenue! Wasn't that much :c
Im confused. Did the employees take the money because he said they paid out but he never got it?
I need someone smarter to explain this cuz i don't understand how he isn't in jail for all of this.
Basically he's going to pretend to be innocent and blame some accountant or something. It's bullshit
Bro, @mattymattffs, you realize he scammed himself, and he lost money, I don't think you get it champ

You've never actually watched him huh? It's fairly self evident that he is a quite intelligent individual, least of all compared to someone like you.
Not speculating anything but just noticed that he didn't say atrioc
Atrioc has no position with offbrand anymore post the incident. I think they also bought him out so he kinda avoided this.

No lie, 100% dude should go to jail. Your company. Your jail time
