Various shots as Buccaneer jets are loaded with bombs. M/S beach covered with oil. M/S helicopter with barrel of detergent in net underneath. C/U man directing it in, the barrel is lowered to beach. They open the barrel and let the detergent out onto the oil. M/S as soldiers push another barrel of detergent over cliff onto beach, various shots as those below pour it out. L/S St. Michael's Mount, pan to Marazion beach where workers are doing their best to clear up the mess.
M/S as Buccaneer jet flies overhead. L/S and M/S of the huge cloud of smoke rising from the Torrey Canyon after it has been bombed. Aerial shot of the smoke, dramatic L/S smoke rising and hanging in sky.
