I just wanted to tell you both that my Fiancé and I randomly discovered your Channel about 2-3 weeks ago. We both thoroughly enjoy watching the awesome content you make. We sit down every night after the little one is in bed and we end up watching about three hours worth of your videos before we go to bed. We are also now discussing the possibility of buying our own version of Leroy so we can travel more. Thank you both so much for the time and effort you put into making these informative, fun and hilarious videos. Also I have been enjoying the music playing in the background so much, that every time we watch your content and hear some thing new I Shazam the songs and have been creating a Sarah & Keelan playlist on iTunes. Thank you both again, you two are truly wonderful people. From Sarah & Ash (Brissy, Queensland)😊
Amazing son sorting out the old man like that. I am excited to win this setup for my own rig. Thanks for always giving us a chance to own quality gear guys
Cheers mate, man your sayings are bloody awesome. This set up is something I've been looking at for my new Hilux. Thanks again for all the information at a Tradie level. Keep up the great work guys.👍
Thanks so much for all the knowledge. You’re so much easier to understand. We are currently working on setting up a system for our car. We haven’t sorted out anything yet. Hopefully we’ll have it done b4 we leave for our big trip to the Gibb from Melbourne.
It's so good I got myself a new car wanting to good esy set-up. I've entered the the competition and I am subscribed to your channel. And just subscribed to Itech world. This would really help me out. Thanks for all the deals. Great work.
Very neat install and great explanation of the process. Surprised how much you and Gazza managed to squeeze in behind the seats. Competition entered and I've been subscribed for quite a few months now, enjoying your laid back okkerisms. One thing I would like to request...can we see you putting socks on a centipede? "Lit up more than Snoop Dog at a weed convention" - another pearler.
Great episode. My son is planning on doing an electrical apprenticeship and has just got his P’s plus his first car (105 Landcruiser) with nothing in it. I’ll definitely be showing him this… Thanks for sharing and your dad seemed super happy 😊 Say hi to Sarah 👋
Hubby, Gary (Gazza) was very keen on the setup - have been subscribed to your channel for a while (have some great tips and tricks) and subscribed to iTech for him.😊
Sick video. Looking at putting a very similar system into my 200 over the coming weeks. So couldn't have timed this better! Straight onto amazon to get a 50a fuse for after the charger. Was very hopeful you'd show me where to run the cable through from the chassis tho haha. Cheers legend.
Sweet set up for Pops. Kudos. Your 12V content especially is great stuff. Thank you. If I may, few comments: 21:04 ... Per the iTechWorld DC DC 40 Charger User Guide, 60-70A fuse suggested for the charger output to help avoid nuisance tripping. 14:35 ... Guide also mentions adding solder to crimped splices. I'm a fan. 20:50 ... Lastly, someone before me mentioned this: Any cover of sorts ultimately over the battery? Anyhow, thanks again for the content and keep up the good work.
Great little vid! Slotted cable duct is where it’s at and definitely pro crimps when done properly over solder. Not so sure on the chassis run for cable, my only concern I’ve thought about would be wear on the paint inside the rails from loose cables promoting corrosion. Food for thought I guess.
As always you bloody legends giving no frills straight to the point info 🤙.1 question I have guys with the van wanting to know what's your thoughts on gas vs diesel heaters but more on leading into your 12v system would you recommend maybe building a system that you could run your reverse cycle heater in place of fitting the diesel of gas system.
Very smart man. I’ve run cables through the grommets in the bulkhead (no fires 🔥 so not firewall) plus you downgrade yourself a little bro. Go hard and I’ll be attempting to win, ❤ya work and can’t wait until next video. Ps in miss my old hj45. H engine before 2H but my 80 is way more comfortable and powerful compared. 1hdt intercooled and 3 inch straight trough plus snorkel all done myself but I am a mechanic. Did the big end bearings 10 years ago when I got it , has 381376km now but doesn’t use a drop of oil and goes okay but nothing like your 200.
Good morning, I am in agreement with crimp, tape and shrink wrap. Before crimping I often use a "no ox" compound or grease on the larger size conductors. In your past of assembly of panel boards were you doing all custom designs?
Great ep. Two questions. As a 200 owner I’d very interested in a self centred episode on the best cable running paths. Also, when you ran the cable from the battery to the boot, did you run positive and negative or just positive and use the vehicle for earth return.
I don’t even know what the 2nd step is butttt I have started using the socks on centipedes analogy and the guys at work think I’m hilarious, so cheers Keelan 😂😂😂😂
Awesome video guys, so informative and easy to understand for us gronks. 😅 Entered the comp - hope I win and it can go into the father-in laws new Ford Ranger, and in time before their big WA adventure with their caravan. Would be the perfect addition!! 🤞🏻
Nice job yep keep it safe reliable simple and at a budget 👍I'll probably do that same upgrade one day cheers 🍻 putting the time out to show us 🙂also im old school carnt be bothered scanning links and download stuff ive got no idea how to do that stuff , mabe one day 😅
Lovely simple install. Now I just need to win the gear and repeat your process. You could always come and do it for me, christ, that would be a crack up. Regards to both of you, Wealie.
Think I’ll just sit myself in the corner and put socks on the centipedes for this one 🧦 .. I’d love to have a 12v setup in my ute, but it’s like trying to learn a whole other language backwards 🤷♀️😳🤦♀️ Another great video though 👍🏽
Great advise yet again. I have Bluetooth battery and a shunt - they read like 5ah difference. Yes shunt is calibrated. Any help would be appreciated. Keep up the great work.
Need to use a video light rather than the Arlec tool light. The flickering on that Arlec due to differences in refresh rate between it and the camera is nuts.
Awesome vid thanks Keelan...Just a question....why did you decide to use the DC to DC charger rather than charging straight off the altinator and using a VSR? Cheers Brendon
Great video but I’m totally confused so if I win this system I would get a professional who knows what they are doing with the electrical side of things but I love still love your work
Thats cool. Mate if I win, Next time your travelling through the Fleurieu Peninsular let me know. I will supply some beers and you can check over my install. If I don't win I will most likely buy the gear and install. (after I save up). And I will still buy you some beers. 😁

Great Video Keelan, thanks for sharing
Thanks for the opportunity to win this awesome prize guys 😊👍🏽
Noice Ep - always curious what kind of specialist tools if any you use?

From Sarah & Ash (Brissy, Queensland)😊
You will stop watching shortly
I wish I had done a trade out of school instead of an office career I hated. I love watching and learning this stuff. Thanks for another great vid 🤙
Mate that was the best 12v DIY video I have seen in so long great work. Thanks for all the time you put into your videos.
Absolutely great demo
We will be doing a setup like this thanks Keelan
Great work mate. Dad's remember things like this everyone they use them.
I think 🤔 a heat sink under the Dc Dc charger would be a good idea the side of a plywood box 📦 covered in carpet could have the thermal cutout engaged
I realy like watching your videos, you both are 2 down to earth people. Keep you the great work
For a young whipper sniper you are a wealth of knowledge, so thank you for sharing ❤
Well done Keelan, great to do that for your Dad. 😊
Thanks so much, the lingo was much easier to understand 😂
I think this may still be above my capabilities.
Gotta love the No BS approach!
I hate the smell of it so we avoid it hahaha thanks for watching mate!!
Thanks so much for all the knowledge. You’re so much easier to understand. We are currently working on setting up a system for our car. We haven’t sorted out anything yet. Hopefully we’ll have it done b4 we leave for our big trip to the Gibb from Melbourne.
Love this vid, found it very informative and easy “guide” how to build a simple 12V setup! Thank you!
I'm going to redo my cabling now ... There is nothing wrong with it, but I love the cable tray idea & how neat it looks
You make it look easy. So neat mine would look like roadside pick-up day. Great work mate.
Well done Keelan, your Old Man was stoked 🎉

Good episode mate! What a prize 👌🏼 definitely something I need for my travels 🤞🏼 goodluck everyone!!
Thanks for the how to, we so need this.
Great kit. Great setup. Great idea for our 200 before our trip up to the Cape.
Good video guys. Well done!!
Always a great watch
Thanks again
Thanks for putting this episode up as I found it interesting and I recon I could do with that set up in my cruiser
You are one very knowledgeable person love it all I need is the gear
Great episode. My son is planning on doing an electrical apprenticeship and has just got his P’s plus his first car (105 Landcruiser) with nothing in it. I’ll definitely be showing him this… Thanks for sharing and your dad seemed super happy 😊 Say hi to Sarah 👋
Hubby, Gary (Gazza) was very keen on the setup - have been subscribed to your channel for a while (have some great tips and tricks) and subscribed to iTech for him.😊
Already subscribed to both of the channels for ages 😁
Alway informative guys. I just placed an order on urban tungsten tuff van. New ford Everest next step is the battery system. Well done
Just bought a dcdc charger from itech this afternoon, hopefully I can finalise a set up and have a decent discussion on how it works.
Great episode mate has given me some very valuable ideas for cable management thanks🤙
Cheers, will do.
Thanks Keelan great vid!

Looks great, would love to have this setup ❤

Thanks for all the information. Have sent SKT code to friends and family, hope they are using it.
Another great episode…. always entertaining
Great little vid! Slotted cable duct is where it’s at and definitely pro crimps when done properly over solder.
Not so sure on the chassis run for cable, my only concern I’ve thought about would be wear on the paint inside the rails from loose cables promoting corrosion. Food for thought I guess.
That was awesome mate. Great vid!
Well done mate great job nice work ❤
What a great set up
Just put a 120x in and this would be perfect to add to my setup

Check out John McKay 47. The diesel heater is dry heat, and gas draws in water out of the air.
well done mate !
Great job. 👍
As always - love your content and your old man is a legend 👍 keep up the great work guys!!!
Great explanation KISS
Great vid 👍🏻🍺
awesome , just got a new ranger , keen to kit it out when i get some more funds
Love the 40
Great video.
From a plumber to a sparky, good to see you clean up your off cuts of cable for once 😂.
Haha
Cool ep and set up
Thanks mate

Informative video. Great prize. Would be fantastic for our new Ford Everest when it arrives. 😊
Since the 40 is so limited on space i reckon a portable setup would be the go 👌
All done mate
Good job
Thanks Keelan, nice job. Shame we can’t enter your giveaway aways from NZ :) great prize. Cheers 🍻
Looks so easy🙃
Helll yeahhh Gazzzz good shit bull 🤝
Such a good video mate.

I don’t even know what the 2nd step is butttt I have started using the socks on centipedes analogy and the guys at work think I’m hilarious, so cheers Keelan 😂😂😂😂
2nd step complete 😉
Awesome video guys, so informative and easy to understand for us gronks. 😅
Entered the comp - hope I win and it can go into the father-in laws new Ford Ranger, and in time before their big WA adventure with their caravan. Would be the perfect addition!! 🤞🏻
You're a good son!!! :D Hope the finger heals up quick.
🍻 great informative vid mate. I'm wanting to do the same to mine in the near future
Nice job yep keep it safe reliable simple and at a budget 👍I'll probably do that same upgrade one day cheers 🍻 putting the time out to show us 🙂also im old school carnt be bothered scanning links and download stuff ive got no idea how to do that stuff , mabe one day 😅
Hey guys great video as usual, love the no bs from you two! Just not able to scan the qr code, not that I win a thing 😅😅😅😅
Lovely simple install.
Now I just need to win the gear and repeat your process.
You could always come and do it for me, christ, that would be a crack up.
Regards to both of you, Wealie.
Defo on my list to keep up with the tech and bin (recycle) me 2 x heavy asf agms haha. 🍻
Nice one
I totally need this to update my touring Dmax.
Nice basic little setup.......😎🤙
Top of tha wozza 👍
Garth should be a regular feature - Reminds me of the Paul Hogan Show and Strop. 🤣
Not often, a sparky cleans up after themselves 😅
Very cool vid!!
Definitely covers most people's needs! Gained a subscriber
(You spelt people wrong in your title 😅 btw)
Think I’ll just sit myself in the corner and put socks on the centipedes for this one 🧦 ..
I’d love to have a 12v setup in my ute, but it’s like trying to learn a whole other language backwards 🤷♀️😳🤦♀️
Another great video though 👍🏽
There is detailed plans with parts lists you can purchase online for very little $
Excellent video! Thanks! In South Africa we choose 12V. As you say why go 48V?
Best you ask an expert like Will Prowse who fully grasps the benefits
I feel so bad for the koala
🤣🤣🤣 wtf Keelan? 🤣🤣🤣
And what a great son you are, lucky Dad
Did you just chuck the Koala? Gold!
Battery doesn't need to be in a sealed box in a vehicle?
Thought the regs changed for a caravan?
17:35 ... Offset a top cover / shield over the battery terminals and mount the power box on top of that?
Would you ever change over to a 24v system?
Great advise yet again. I have Bluetooth battery and a shunt - they read like 5ah difference. Yes shunt is calibrated.
Any help would be appreciated.
Keep up the great work.
Need to use a video light rather than the Arlec tool light. The flickering on that Arlec due to differences in refresh rate between it and the camera is nuts.
Awesome vid thanks Keelan...Just a question....why did you decide to use the DC to DC charger rather than charging straight off the altinator and using a VSR?
Cheers Brendon
Wanting to do something similar 😊
Great video but I’m totally confused so if I win this system I would get a professional who knows what they are doing with the electrical side of things but I love still love your work
Great video Teagan, I would love to catch up with you one day, cheers Phil
This is awesome Keelan Thankyou.Where did you put the last box with the cigarette lighters in it?
Where did you end up installing the 12V Mini Control box?
Why add an extra join before an anderson and not just put some new anderson pins on the cable?
Damn I was actually hoping to see socks fitted to at least one centerpede
😂
Thats cool. Mate if I win, Next time your travelling through the Fleurieu Peninsular let me know. I will supply some beers and you can check over my install. If I don't win I will most likely buy the gear and install. (after I save up). And I will still buy you some beers. 😁
