Piers Morgan Debates Feminist On Miss England Pageant Bringing Back Bikinis

  • Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by former Miss USA and Miss Universe Sarah Rose Summers, former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll and journalist and feminist Julie Bindel to discuss and debate whether bringing back swimwear rounds to beauty pageants is a good idea and whether they propagate sexism within society.
Julie explains that historically beauty pageants with bikini segments have contributed to sexism, as they historically have women competing against each other whilst being judged by a panel of men. Sarah disagrees, explaining that in her most recent competition, the panel of judges were all successful women within the industry. Piers also adds that both men and women watch bikini pageants and that there is nothing wrong with admiring beautiful women.

“ If I would’ve known I’ve been arguing with two women I wouldn’t come on the program” well there it is right there. If you believe your argument only has merit because of the immutable traits of the people you’re arguing with, then you’re not debating the idea, you’re debating the person. The intellectual ineptitude of the modern feminist never disappoints.

The hate is because it’s upholding other women to higher standards. It’s a reminder of their perceived inadequacies and perhaps the inability to compete against beautiful driven women. Looking at the 2 Miss Pageant, one can clearly see the hard work , determination and sacrifice to achieve such high beauty standards. These qualities transcend onto the work place, businesses etc… Many women will resent these 2 ladies because of the competitive aspect even as it also relates to mate selection.

The original comment is bang on the money, women are allowed to compete against each other in all other aspects of society but when it comes to beauty because it's pitting women against each other or using a 'male beauty standard', here is a reality check for you -- there is no male created standard of beauty, there is just THE standard of beauty which both men and women agree on. A woman knows when she looks attractive, she is seeing the same thing men are seeing because we are biologically programmed to admire certain forms, this isn't sexism it is simply biology.

I also would bet that you don't share the same feeling for men's pageants, Mr World, Mr Olympia. Do you not think the men want to show off the hard work they've put into their physiques just like the ladies?
From my experience people that defend this overly-sensitive way of thinking usually don't look great in a bikini or shirtless, like the Ms London lady in this video. The reason is quite obvious. Beautiful people either won the genetic lottery or worked hard to get it, just let them be, if they want to flaunt their assets for a competition then let them, both men and women.
The most hilarious part about this all is that Ms. Universe/World isn't even about bikini's either, it's (was) just a segment...

The only thing that needs to be asked is, are the participants happy? Are they ok with bikini's, with being judged in the pageants and if they don't win do they feel bad less self worthy.
That woman can't get offended on behalf of others. No-one forces her to watch them.
    Now, let's talk porn :)

Julie Bindel, you are entirely correct. Specific standards are being imposed; I wonder how many had plastic surgeries.

Atleast that will help them understand what a woman is .... Your generation is anyway confused and can't tell a man from a woman .... Hopefully you can ...or maybe not .. pick your preferred pronoun 😂😂😂😂😂

There is no such thing as conventional beauty. Natural Selection decides the matter, and men on average prefer fit, healthy looking females who do, as a result of their good health, look great in bikinis.

And women objectify men, too, preferring tall, strong men with full heads of hair, educated and at least six figure incomes.
We all objectify people, even unconsciously.
      It's wired into us.

the thing about beauty is that you dont get to decide if youre beautiful or not, thats up to everyone else. its a lot like sarcasm, you can say "im just sarcastic, thats my humor" but if everyone else just thinks youre an asshole, then youre an asshole. you can be proud of your looks no matter what, but if everyone else says youre ugly, then youre just ugly

Why can’t we just say that women are pretty and men appreciate that beauty? And no one is forcing them to participate. And have the same thing for men if you want

its the fact that people think women do this for men. the majority of pageant fans are women and gay men. let them be girly in peace. a husband isnt the prize, this has nothing to do with men

She didn't win Miss Universe actually. She placed in the Top 20. She didn't place at Miss Teen USA before that. There were more beautiful girls at Miss USA that should've won than Sarah Rose Summers, imo. They're not really competitions but who the organization wants to have the title for that year and for 2018, they wanted Sarah. At Miss Teen USA, they wanted other girls than Sarah.

I'm sorry but I'm really struggling to understand since when is it so horrible and sexist to have heterosexual thoughts? As long as i'm not harassing or assaulting women... i'm not even allowed to look at them and like them during a beauty contest??
