That is difficult to believe. He aged well. I really liked Grodin in films like The Heartbreak Kid, Midnight Run, etc. He was also really funny on the Dave Letterman show. Great deadpan humor.
Just clicked on this to see an interview with Alan Arkin. Didn’t know I was going to have to sit through Charles Grodin’s half-baked criticisms of government policies! It’s as though he doesn’t understand that young unwed mothers don’t have to have sex before getting married!
His criticisms were not half baked. His point was that our government wants to take away and help for people who need it. Yet billions of dollars will go to keep wars going, and the only people that get help are the rich.
thank you for posting the grodin episodes! they are great! please post as many as you can if you have more available, thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to convert and upload your tapes!
Alan Arkin is the most interesting actor I have ever seen. He is so truthful.
Arkin and grodin genuinely have a good rapport and comes through in this interview. Love how grodin refers to Arkin as a high school principal
Forgot how much I loved Charles Grodin. So funny and compassionate.
Alan Arkin was a sweet old soul.
Hard to believe Charles Grodin was 60 here. He looks more like 45.
