Amen 🙏 God bless you brother
Im back once more to remind you that we made it to 2024!! Keep this alive forever and ever my brothers and sisters 💯🔥🗿🙏🏽
In the swahili communities, this song was used as a lullaby to sing children to sleep, their prowess in composing these songs influenced the decision to adopt a lullaby song as the national anthem of Kenya
Kenyan National Anthem is a prayer, not Lullaby. Are you Kenyan? If you are not, please get your facts checked before posting on a public platform.

If you get choked up while listening to this song and your thinking about people who you love whether they're still with you or passed on, don't get discouraged, that just means you have a Heart.

Listening to this makes me forget what a cruel world we live in, I simply want a beautiful world where every man and woman, black or white, gay or straight just unite and be kind to each other. It's unrealistic to believe this can be possible right now but have faith, beauty exist in all, just listen to this wonderful piece of creation. God bless you all XX

I know you meant well translating, but if you do not come from the East African countries... please don't attempt to translate Swahili. Unless you have learnt the language in a school taught by professionals. Your translation needs to be taken down. It's misleading.
I’m 22, and I had this song stuck in my head for no reason today. From what I can see in the comments I’m not the only one. Some songs and experiences you had as a kid will truly stick with you forever, buried in the deepest parts of your consciousness. Excuse me while I cry now, for this reminds me of my late grandpa.
Likewise.
Rip Bill Paxton hopefully this song was happening when you entered peace forever.

Such beautiful comments, wherever you all are, I love you all. Have great happy lives filled with love and positivity ahead my friends.
Everything will be okay :)
When I was 4 I heard this song on mighty Joe young my mom would sing it to me when I went to bed. Now that I know what it means it's kind of sad for me. My mother stopped singing this to me but it still stayed with me. The song still carried on. It doesn't end just like life. My grandfather died 10 days after my ninth birthday and I loved him dearly. Life went on with the song. Two years later my sister was born. Two years after that my other sister was born. The song goes on and one day my mom and my step dad will die. The song will go on and I will be there for my sisters. Then I too will die... But the song (life) will still go on and my words will be carried with the wind never to be heard again.
Ok ..I admit it ...this song gets to me every time ...the first time I saw the movie ...stayed with me ...beautiful melody ..haunting!
This is a wonderful tune, another one very similar and high caliber is Jisas Yu Holem Hand Blong Mi song for "the thin red line."

Me
Me, it reminds my childhood
This is one of the best memories I have of my grandma and I. We would watch this movie when I was little back to back all day and night staying up until 3 a.m. She passed away 5 years ago after she had heart surgery. I was 19 and that was my first experience of death. She had two bypasses done and a valve replacement. It was supposed to take 4 hours but it took 8 since one of the valves ended up leaking. She mad it through the night and then the next morning we got a call to rush to the hospital since her blood pressure was dropping dramatically. My grandpa, one of my aunts and I stood in the doorway of the room as we watched the doctors do chest compressions for roughly 45 minutes and every now and then asking my grandpa is he wanted them to continue. Each time with tears in his eyes he said yes. The last time they asked, we noticed when they would stop for a second the monitor went to straight lines... we knew then that her heart was only pumping from them pressing on it and he told them that they could stop. He and we knew she had moved on. I'll never forget seeing her laying there as she passed on in front of me and I'll never forget the call I had to make to my dad letting him know his mom just passed away. Everytime I hear the wind and feel the gentle breeze on my face I sense her right next to me even to this day. I hear her voice and gentle, warming laugh and I can feel her giving me a hug. This song is beautiful and it means a lot to me
Bless you I cried after reading this
cause I've had one experience on my Aunt too she died of breast cancer😢❤

RIP BILL PAXTON :(
I'm surprised I'm not the only one who fell in love with this song from the movie mighty joe young ...
Music transcends many barriers. It can change a mood give a pep talk or bless you to tears. Even though I have no clue what I'm doing I've played with many an instrument long enough to figure out what notes sound good together, learned a few songs and even created my own song on a grand piano likened by those who have heard it in different places to lord of the rings movie music. And those people were random people, strangers, I have met in my travels across the US as a lone homeless person. They had no social bond to play nice to me. They had no idea I don't have any serious desire to live. I play my best act in life by pretending to be an average Christian all happy go lucky with faith (not that there is nothing to it). If only they knew my continued life is a miracle but for God.
I can't stop crying
Me too 😢😢😭😭
Popped in my head today while sick with stomach virus from cleaning my doggies vomit over the weekend. She's been at the vet for a week now. I miss her. I started showing symptoms she had, days ago. I miss my baby. I feel shitty and this song just takes the pain away with a few sweet memories. 😢😢😢😢😢❤ I can't wait to play the movie for my 5-year-old neice. ❤

I heard this song many years ago when I was a kid, while watching the movie and it has stuck with me for many years. I'm originally from South Africa. I don't know what they saying, but I can feel their emotions as they sing and it is just so beautiful. So graceful. A work of Africa. ❤️
