Hello, I have a 2017 model, will this tool work only in certain circumstances, or it’ll 100% of the time? Looking to send to you for help.

Does the logicboard need to be removed from the device for this to work? Does everything need to be disconnected?
It's Binh Repaired You would need to disconnect the battery before attempting this, but everything else can stay.

@@PowerbookMedic risked a friend's $4k macbook pro to make sure the device was working properly after it failed on another. It worked with just disconnecting the battery, thanks! The other one, I completely disassembled for nothing... :( Data wasn't recoverable. SSD was destroyed by the liquid spill.

Will this work with a 2018 Touch Bar i9?
No. Unfortunately, this tool only works for the earlier models.
Does the tool able to detect the SSD even though the logic board is not fixed from the damage?
No it does not. I just see the access tool

Hi! I recently accidentally started decrypting my Macbook pro (same model as the example in the video), I restarted my MacBook and now unfortunately when I try to log in, the loading bar never fully loads and I am unable to login. is it possible to do data recovery while the disk is in decrypting mode?

Hi, would you be able to recover data from 2018 macbook pro 13 with touch bar?
Conference Unfortunately, we cannot. Apple has removed that connector from the 2018 board, so the data is not recoverable.
Can I recover my data from macboo pro 2017 without touch bar model ? I checked the logic board I could not find the connector there. It has opposite site same connector.
The non-touchbar model has an SSD blade, so you can take the blade out and put it in another non-touchbar to recover data.
@@PowerbookMedic Thanks for advice. Even apple authorized service does not do it this taking out the ssd and putting it in another macbook pro model. They told me it has unique ssd which we cannod access inside in it. Really ridiculous.

Alejandro Morales You can just unhook the battery, you do not have to completely remove the logic board.

Alejandro Morales It only works with the 2016-2017 boards. And the cable used is a USB-C cable to transfer the data.
