NEW INFORMATION Update 51 FIXED the spell damage resistance bypass enhancements and so they now work and are basically MANDATORY for all sorcerer. Make sure you take those. Breaking news after very recent testing.
@@flute136 No. The elemental form only works for % reductions, not flat reductions. If a monster is immune, or has a % reduction (like a champion) it will bypass, but a flat reduction (like a slaad or dretch or firebrand gnoll) is not bypass by the capstone, even though it says it should. This enhancement actually works as of U51, when before U51 it didn't work.
@@Strimtom im slightly confused. Are you sure % based reductions can be bypassed? In The Archons Trials, the end boss seems to have crazy amounts of % resist in higher skulls that neither sorc or alch can bypass. Also it may not supposed to bypass resistances but i swear it did. I will have to test this later sometime.

Sorcs are not glass cannon, they are way tougher than Alchemists and a few other builds. I did my Warforged lives as Artificer, and my Bladeforged as Paladins. All my Sorcs have been fleshy, which makes Int somewhat important but I have +8 tomes. Generally I want Spellcraft, Heal, Use Magic Item, Balance and I also put points into Performance and of course Concentration. So, for me it's it's Charisma max, Con max, and the rest Int.

I know DDO is just an MMO, but coming from pen&paper D&D, watching a powerful Sorcerer behave like a goat with those Mario jumps above the monsters while casting looks absolutely ridiculous 😅
Do you play 3.5? That sounds about right for 3.5e which this was origionally released based off of. You can do some silly stuff in 3.5. There's builds that could throw a a house no problem, or have effectively infinite hit points (assuming they can't be killed from full in 1 turn)
armored arcana is kind of useless, being that the lvl12 core in EK gives enough spell fail reduction to wear heavy, also sorcs (and fvs) get 5% more sp per lvl from wizardry items. not double. it's "up to double" ie. 100% at lvl20
i would only worry about UMD and spellcraft....ehhh concentration. that's enough to make me never watch this guy ever again. saying concentration is meh for a sorcerer? nope. bye

Any way to go with melee sorcerer as drow race and maybe mix with a wizard class for a skeleton tanking pet? Does that even make sense?:(
you could do but you’d just be nerfing yourself. if you want eldritch knight and a skeleton i would just go with wizard and no sorcerer
it does not make sense with wiz. if u want mix go 2 lvl monk and maybe a bit fighter or pally.

That's part of what I love about DDO lol - many D&D videogames don't involve jumping, let alone double jumping for Air Sorcs/FVS etc.

Armored arcana gives proficiency, which is necessary to benefit from the PRR of heavier armor.

Could you try make a elven medium or heavy armour ek maybe a wiz barb/ftr or a sorc bard ftr for some stalwart
Medium is generally better than heavy and in this video I recommend using medium on sorcerer since you can get it from the eldritch knight tree.
