My first reaction to seeing mk1 gameplay was that it looks the same as mk11 but with assists and brighter stages
I really like SF6's artstyle. Stylized, yet realistic. Reminds me of mid 2000s Pixar style (Incredibles, Brave, etc), before they went overboard in trying to look realistic.
NRS and WB only care about making a good looking game not a good fighting game. I honestly do not see MK1 competing with SF6 or T8 and i'll even say GG Strive has a better chance of having a really good update and obershadowing MK1.
I 100% agree bro the updates that MK 1 will need to make it compete with street fighter 6 would mean like a year or 2 delay which WB will not do. 😞

MK1 got announced at a bad time, they took too long but they'd be stuck aswell because SF6 came out so strong and then T8 is just around the corner aswell. And their launch window being this soon after an official reveal is just too much. I was foolish into pre-ordering MK11 and got all the DLC im NEVER doing that with an MK game again. And i dont give a a damn about guest characters. If they cant make their own charcaters be complete like Skarlet for example then its not even worth going for guest characters.
People complaining about Deejay just hate guessing on wake-up, boohoo. Any other character in the game will punish you with super just for standing/not blocking low.
Personally I like the SF6 tech better than Tekken 8's, giggly and soft; rather than that crispy, hard look. neither looks bad though, just an artistic choice
I think overall MK 1 just feels boring to watch. In my opinion I think the Slow movement and the animations seem bad to me. the character designs also seem very generic so far. Compared to street fighter 6 I think it doesn't give good reasoning to pick it up. There maybe more characters at launch and some may prefer this more realistic approach to the art but in terms of sheer content and fun factor I think it just won't be up to snuff. Street fighter 6 has been sitting at 40,000 to 30,000 players on steam concurrently for 1 month now with no sign of slowing down. I predict that MK 1 will have a good day 1 launch for the casual audience but signifgantly taper off in week 2. Which is a shame because I wanted this MK to really gab me like MK X did 😞.
