Ryan gosling is a unique personality of an actor i liked his acting in the la la land ( haven't watched barbie yet I'll watch it soon ) and now i like him more as a person 🧡 ESTPs are usually stereotyped as energetic, loud and harsh people that would risk everything for a moment of a thrill , while in reality many of them are laid back, very caring and super cool to deal with who would also love thrill but not like the stereotype lol . Stereotype can make us miss many types for other types in real life i was surprised when i met a real ESTP on person they're chill, sharp and funny that i thought he must be ISFP or INTJ but nope he was an ESTP .
He is for sure a CHARMER!! When he came in to audition for Young Hercules he was the only actor out of dozens of actors who came up to all of us and shook our hands.
@@jaredisaac1235 In this era, yes you are right. I would not expect an actor to shake hands now. What I am referring to is in 1998 when Ryan Gosling auditioned for Young Hercules.
I was part of the crew on his first movie Frankenstein and me, so at a time he wasn't know. He stood out as a very mature, humble and curious teenager. He was interested in talking to the director about all kind of subjects, not only about his role. I'm happy for him he made it so far, well deserved beyong his talent!
I watched this because I'm a bit envious of Ryan Gosling-not the fame, fortune, relationship, kids, talent-but his personality. He seems so comfortable in his own skin, self-possessed, self-contained, mellow, bemused, aware, and perceptive. He is pleasing but never people-pleasing, extremely in-the-moment, entertaining but not performing. He seems to just always hit the right note. I can't relate but I can aspire. (All this, and I think he came from a challenging family situation).
Its so fascinating to see that his personality is so strong from such a young age. Hes obviously an extrovert, unfathomably confident, and somehow completely unscathed by the harsh world around us.
This was so intriguing! I'm not sure if I've watched another video that describes a celeb who is an ESTP, so it was really cool to see what Ryan's processes were like. Thanks as always, Eric!
There's this pervasive stereotype that ESTPs are meant to be loud, brash, and aggressive. While that may be true for some, many ESTPs are very chill, down-to-earth, easy-going folks. Too often people have preconceived notions of what a type should be like, largely because many tend to only develop their dom and aux functions, and neglect their tert/inf. Ryan seems to be pretty well-balanced in the use of his functions, that's why he doesn't come off as a "typical" ESTP.
All the Cornwall clips made me think he didn't spend much time there and didn't know anything other than superficial stuff about it. Because the only things that most people would know about Cornwall would be the papermill stink (now gone), bike path, hockey, and curling. And the main reason that a lot of people pass through Cornwall is the border crossing. Ryan is known to have had a bit of a tumultuous childhood. I saw his sister with him in a Barbie interview saying she never had a Barbie, and he jumped in and said she was too busy being Barbie. That guys knows how to deflect attention away from a potential downer personal topic.
Your analysis have gotten way better. You had your fair share of stereotype typingin some videos but seeing your recent videos I am seeing much more depth of analysis! Bravo!
Being an EP I'm always kind of fascinated with the EP negative stereotypes, something Eric brought up in the Pedro Pascal video. He is kind of obvious what he is, really well developed Fe, like Pedro.
I had an ESTP friend that had such well-developed Fe she actually mistyped as ESFJ once. People often forget the types heavily favor their 3rd functions, which in the ESTP’s case is Fe.
Yeah, people get this wrong a lot, I was on personality database and people were voting Philip DeFranco as ENFP because of Ne/Te loop, but his use is reverse order of a Ne/Te queen like Lana Wachowski.
I am so glad you didn’t type him as an ISFP as everyone on the internet seems to whole heartedly believe he actually uses FI AND TE lmfao of course he does but it’s not in his four primary cognitive functions
Ive always loved Ryan, i really admire his wit, charm and ability to say things as they are while still being able to make people feel good, my fav male celebrity
He's a really cool actor! I'm basically a new fan of his, since I watched him in the "Barbie" film (which to me was amazing)! This is very interesting! 👍
His interviews are fascinating. I think he plays games with people to keep the endless interviews from getting boring. I never would have guessed ESTP, but your points were spot on! I have a brother that's an ESTP your typical open throttle style, but my daughter is also an ESTP in this chill 'I will charm you when I want to' type. Glad I found your channel.
Cool! Although I liked the guessing game in your earlier videos where you'd first show a ton of clips and discuss patterns before attaching a cognitive function to it, so I could see for myself if I'd draw the same conclusions.
Thank you! I have watched him being interviewed and really was a little confused about how he was put together--not using personality types, just try to figure out "Who is this guy?" You analysis makes sense.
Just watched the fall guy movie today where Ryan acts as a stunt man and stuff happens. Fun movie, good acting. I got curious of his personality type so thanks for the deep analysis! My wild guess was that he's an INTJ at first, but then ENTP based on how he presented himself and also having physical resemblance to a streamer I know. But I do see ESTP although I'd like to know how huge of a difference the two types are. Thanks for the vid, good content!
the first thing I noticed about him in interviews is he's always looking directly at whoever is speaking, like he's giving them full attention or trying to actively connect to them
oh yes, noticed that too! just saw a video from him at the barbie premiere, where the interviewer recorded the interview with a smartphone (like an instagram story/reel) and he asked if he can look at her and not the phone. really adorable moment :)
Of course he knows what everyone likes, he’s a Libra Venus in the 7th house, introverted unemotional, Capricorn moon 11th house, honest introverted thinking for himself, he’s a Scorpio sun 8th house, and Scorpio mercury 7th house (7th house fitting in what people need), extrovert Sagittarius mars 9th house, Pisces rising-mutable, he can fit into any mold he needs to
Definitely charming. Feel like Canada definitely has a hand and that. And Disney of course. They train those kids WELL. Not surprised when they feel that need to break out of the box, though. Kind of inevitable.
The typing made sense to me, my dad is an ESTP and acts very similarly. Myself on the other hand, I can’t definitively figure out my type. I usually test as a XNTP or occasionally as an INTJ. There are some aspects of all three that connect back to me. However, what stood out most is when doing the cognitive function tests (i did multiple) my Ni seems pretty high for a XNTP across all the tests I’ve done and to a smaller extent my Fi as well, so that’s confusing.
I just read “The Scarlet Pimpernel”. I think it’s time for a big screen remake starring Ryan! He would be amazing! Come on Ridley Scott! It will be your next “Gladiator”. Just saying…..
Did you watch the interview with his trainer about his abs and he said "no", it isn't photoshop and he is the easiest person in the world to work with. I love the video where they ask him if he is the biggest he has ever been for "The Gray Man" and he obviously is. When they asked how it was done he said, he had to eat less of what he really like and wanted and had to pick up a lot of really heavy stuff. He is so funny.
If you want some deep dive classes I do offer them a couple times a month - I have information on my website! Glad you like the video! Welcome to the channel!
Also can you make a video rather than on one personality, compare and contrast a few personalities in order to better understand the concepts? Still not clear on introverted vs extroverted feeling; feeling vs thinking , etc.
This is my first time on your channel so I’m going to dig more but i want to see you talk about Heath Ledger cuz I think he’s he very similar to Ryan in ways

so true, most estp are thought to be even having mood swings. they're the gemini of personalities.
He is for sure a CHARMER!! When he came in to audition for Young Hercules he was the only actor out of dozens of actors who came up to all of us and shook our hands.
yeah but actors are also instructed to like, not touch peoples hands. there are no rules

Yes, now as an adult, he seems like a genuinely friendly person and different from other actors. Still humble.

Ryan is just so smooth. He doesn't take himself too seriously but he himself is actually hilarious. He is above the Hollywood fakeness
Canadian charm.
Yes, I think your right. 🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️
had no idea he was so snarky, charismatic, and clever. i love that haha. estp makes perfect sense.
Watching his interviews lately made me realize that he is one of the most naturally funny people I’ve ever seen
this is really interesting you should analyze cillian murphey! pretty unique type of celebrity imo
Totally!
Yes, Please!! He is a very interesting seeming person.
Cillian is not a nice person

Ryan Gosling is hilarious. Haven't actually seen many interviews of him. Might have to check out some more

his interview for the barbie movie was hilarious. he was asked about his character and he said nobody cares about ken. 🤣
This was very enlightening, I didn't know how consistent his personality was. Obsessed w him as Ken as well. Thank u for sharing!! ~ ENTP
