one good thing we have going is in our area they pay a bounty on beaver tails . as long as the land owner signs the forms to get paid for tail bounty , we will trap them free with permissions to catch all fur while on the property .
And yes you can make very big money in trapping even without putting up fur. Yes it will depend on your area but if I told you how much a year I make doing nuisance work you and most viewers would call me a liar and that’s fine. Love your videos keep up the great work
It's a fun hobby, I'll never quit doing it, but it doesn't pay, especially with fuel where it's at. And God forbid you have to shoot something, ammo is at a premium too

I sell yo a few smaller private people. The best advice I can offer you is to talk to others trappers in your area and see who they are selling to and who they would recommend.
Are those prices fleshed and dried? I'm new to trapping myself. Just curious. More of a hobby than anything. Just seems like allot of work (fleshing/drying) for $10 return. Although, in bulk I guess it would work out. Great videos man! Just watched all of them. Keep it going

You also have the ideal situation, being in farming country, knowing all of the farmers, your dad in landscaping, it is the perfect dream situation, which doesn`t apply to 95% of the people watching. Congratulations on winning the lottery.
You say get paid to remove these nuisance critters, I will not step of my house and start my truck up for a $10 rat or coon. Your time, expertise and expenses are worth way, way more then that. Stop doing your work for chump change and stop letting these farmers take advantage of you and your skills. I have been doing nuisance wildlife work full time for 13 years plus so I am not just making this up. Great fur put up videos by the way.

We don’t have a bounty but the all fur is a great idea
@@tubbyguyoutdoors it gets a lot of gate keys,catching the beaver for landowners.

I mostly charge based off of how much time I have to put into it and what other people in the area are charging.

Ya, it is a lot of work for little return because fur prices, especially beaver, are at an all time low. It is fun to do though.

Somehow my opossum sold $15 a piece this year. Had 30 of them sell. I think they messed up

Ok then what's a viable rate? Is it set up fee, per animal, per hour, per job? How and what is the rate
We have to have a nuisance licence to do that in ohio. It's stupid but that's the law
