I think a lot of instructors give up on students who fail to meet expectations. I know I was dismissed in high school as having no potential. Those same people had no idea that my home life was greatly influencing my behavior, so teachers should probably try to make a connection to see what's behind the kid's apathy before they write them off as useless.

I love this story so much. I’ve realized the biggest thing holding me back in my life has been that I want to stuff it in the face of everyone who doubted me or rejected me when I finally succeed on a level that no one saw coming. And it’s because I’m still mad at everyone who hurt me or let me down or betrayed me or belittled or insulted me. But the truth is that all of them were just hurting and dealing with their own stuff and probably the people who let them down. I want to forgive everyone and believe that we’re all just headed to the same place or something or whatever. I don’t know how to end this. Buy my CD. Read my book. Sign up for my ecourse. I’m just kidding. I just want people to see me like everyone else here speaking our opinions from the crowd. Ok the second act is about to start. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh 🤫
