Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is the popular English title of the chorale from the 1723 Advent cantata written by Johann Sebastian Bach. I have played this piece thousands of times at weddings, funerals, and just plain piano gigs. I never grow tired of this timeless classic. He composed thousands of pieces for the church and always put the initials "S.D.G." on them which stood for "Soli Deo gloria", a Latin term for "Glory to God alone".
