I really can't get the lack of appreciation for Parmigiani. The value for money is excellent, and the Tonda imho is an extremely handsome and classy design.

This is as good as it gets below the mega premiums for VC, Lange, and Patek levels of finishing. I'd rate the finish here as comparable to what you will see on series-production AP Royal Oaks and Jules Audemars with cal 3120s. Both mechanically and aesthetically, I find more to like here with the Tonda.
      Best,
      Tim

      Couldn't agree more.
With all due respect to the Calatrava I feel the Tonda 1950 a more exciting and contemporaneous classic dress watch

Is the titanium in Grade 5?

I have the steel version, 40mm, cream colored dial. I love it, but if this had been available when I got it, I might have gone for the meteorite dial. Just lovely!

Very much so. This belongs alongside Zenith, GP, JLC, and even most AP 3120 cal. automatics in stature.
      Best,

What a beauty! The dial is wonderful and the colour makes the meteorite perfectly understated. And, I really love those lugs.

Great watch, reminds me of FP Journe Chronometre Bleu

But mechanically more intriguing! I enjoy the pleasures of this micro-rotor as much as I love the unconventional tint of the meteorite.

Is the micro-rotor made of platinum like in the precious metal models?

Also, do you know what material the micro-rotor is composed of? I'm guessing it's a heavy metal, such gold or maybe even platinum or tungsten.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I've read on other sites that it is platinum. Quite cool!

My 18ct Gold Tonda 1950 has a Platinum micro rotor, the steel versions have a Tungsten rotor. Regarding this Titanium/meteorite dial model, it too has a Platinum rotor.
