She has just begun classes at the school in Warsaw and communicates with her friend Alicja over Google Translate.
"If it wasn't for her, I would never laugh so much and I wouldn't be so happy," said Alicja.

I'm a teacher in Poland and I'm so moved how sensitive, helpful, good hearted my students are. Before any students from Ukraine arrived to our school, Polish students said that they couldn't wait when some kids from Ukraine join their class and some classes are very disappointed if they don't have any kids from Ukraine🙂 they are also very helpful which also moves me a lot. Even naughty boys are really willing to help their Ukrainian classmates. Children are so authentic, so open, full of love. We can learn a lot from them.

To każą przeczytać rozdział przez całą godzinę, to przez godzinę ktoś się produkuje pod tablicą, a przecież czytanie w innym języku czy słuchanie wykładu jest mega ciężkie. @@clarad2359 This is fake news. I live in Poland and I can tell you that the Afghan refugees at Polish border last year weren't Afghan and they weren't refugees. They were people from the Middle East, mostly Iraq, who were brought to Belarus by Lukashenka (Putin's pawn) in order to orchestrate an artificial migrant crisis in Poland. If Poland caved in under the pressure and opened its borders it would now have to deal with hundreds of thousands of Iraqi migrants on its soil and it wouldn't be able to help the real refugees from Ukraine once Putin's invasion started. It's important to know that Putin was already preparing for war back then and that this move by Lukashenka was part of this preparation. NATO's counterintelligence agents actually warned Polish government about it. They basically said: "Guys be careful. These are not refugees of any kind. This is part of a hybrid war led by Putin". Despite that mainstream media in the West were of course more than happy to repeat Russian propaganda about racist Poles who refused Afghan (Afghan!!!) refugees but it doesn't change the fact that it was fake news. Luckily for Ukraine and for entire Europe the Poles could tell the difference between migrants from Iraq (who would be perfectly safe if they stayed home in their country) and the real refugees from Ukraine now.

@@piotrbratek3996 But one should distinguish between the Soviets and the Germans! A large part of the victims from Poland, however, murdered the Nazi nation! The Nazi nation's terror occupation was far worse than the Soviet occupation. The Nazi Nation was much, much, much eviler than the Soviets. For example there was no Soviet genocide against the Poles! On the other hand, the genocide of the Poles was one of the various genocides of the Nazi nation. There is a huge difference between murdering for political reasons and committing various genocides for racist reasons and for ethnic cleansing. It should not be forgotten that the Nazi Nation did not just commit one genocide but various genocides. What is decisive, however, is that the Nazi Nation with the Wehrmacht murdered millions of children in the process. The Soviets, on the other hand, mostly spared children. To make the difference clear, under the Soviet occupation, Poland experienced impressive population growth. That was unthinkable under the Wehrmacht occupation. The Polish population decreased millions during the Nazi Nation occupation because they murdered millions. The Soviets murdered around 150,000 people in Poland for political reasons in order to force the Poles to adopt the communist system. When their power was secured, they hardly murdered any more. The Soviets did not want to exterminate the Poles. The Nazi Nation, on the other hand, murdered around 6 million Polish citizens for racist reasons and for ethnic cleansing. The Nazi Nation commited genocides against various Slavic nations, Gypsies and Jews! They committed this genocides on partly with industrial means in the death camps but also in the cities and forests by shootings. But they also murder with other methods. About 2 million Poles were deported to Siberia. However, these deportations did not automatically mean death, because many of these Poles were not locked up in camps, but were forced to live in Siberia. By the way, Gulags were not like Nazi nation death camps, because the prisoners had a chance to survive the camps. Approximately 3.3 million ethnic Poles were forced into slave labor by the Nazi nation. Due to the harsh working conditions and starvation, the death rate was 15% of slave labor for the Nazi nation! Mortality rate in the Gulags was 11% versus 100% in the Nazi Nation's death camps. The Nazi Nation was much, much, much eviler than the Soviets. Particularly cruel was that the Nazi nation murdered millions of children for racist reasons when this nation committed various genocides!
There is another crucial difference because the majority of the population in the Soviet Union was never supporters of the communist regime, which is why a civil war and massive terror were necessary to break the will of the population to resist. In Germany, on the other hand, since 1936 at the latest the overwhelming majority of the population were supporters and followers of the German Nazi government and thus were Nazis. There was hardly any resistance and no civil war against the Nazis either because most of them were Nazis. Most were also involved in crimes. For example the slave laborers were watched and tortured by common civilians. There were enough opportunities for civilians to participate in the crimes, including murders. My grandpa, for example, was murdered by a German civilian!

You're absolutely right, but sadly, I wouldn't be too sure regarding your last statement. Throughout history, Poland was known as a generous, warm, tolerant and helpful, as well as a brave nation. However not everyone is historically educated. E.g. Poland saved the European Jewish populace from being wiped out during the middle-ages, when ALL other European countries were torturing, killing and expelling them from their lands. Poland opened its doors and welcomed them all with open arms, and they proceeded to thrive in Poland's safe haven for the following six centuries. Then during WW2, Poles risked their own and their families lives protecting and saving Jewish people from the Germans, and hundreds of thousands of Christian Poles were executed for doing so! *But today, who remembers those 600 years and WW2 Polish 'bravery, kindness and generosity'???*
If it wasn't for that Polish compassion over the centuries, Israel wouldn't even exist. However, the state of Israel and, not all, but many Jews today criticize, and figuratively spit in Polish people's faces on almost a daily basis with slander and fake accusations. And they have the gall to blame Poles for historical revisionism, when it is THEY who are trying to change historical facts. Maybe some just can't accept, that their entire existence is based on serious assistance by another nation? And if anyone doubts my words, just pay attention to Israeli and Jewish newspapers and their mainstream media. Gratitude and even memory for past Polish 'kindness and generosity' has disappeared completely, to be replaced with hatred and narcissism.
      Sad but true!

    • @alokranjan6616
      @alokranjan6616 2 роки тому

      @@warszawa7157 Look it's a bit complicated -
      1. Russia has been historically more reliable ally for us than the west. Take the 1971 war with Pakistan for example. Forget about supporting us, America instead sent its Navy to attack us in support of Pakistan. It was Russia who saved the day for us by sending its navy to save us from America. How do we condemn Russia and shun our time tested ally
      2. Russia has bailed us out a lot of times in the past in the UN whenever there's a proposal against us on Kashmir. No western country supports us the way Russians do
      3. 60% of our arms are Russians. Sure we can stop buying in future from them but the current stock can not be changed overnight. For their spare parts, maintenance etc. we're still very much dependent on Russia
      4. Russia also transfers the technology to us unlike west which just gives us the arms. So it won't be easy to stop buying military hardware from Russians
      5. We're very much like in the position Ukrainians find themselves in. Just like they have hostile neighbors, we have too. China is our Russia and Pakistan is our Belarus. If we shun Russia then an already shunned Russia by the whole world will just go and sit in the lap of China. Now, we can deal with China and Pakistan combined but a China-Pakistan-Russia axis will be too much for us to deal with
      6. Europe is also buying its gas and oil. For comparison, we're just buying in single digit %
What I'm disappointed with my government is that they didn't make any efforts to end this war. We are the ONLY country who has the trust of west as well as Russia. Not even China can say so. So, I feel if we tried to mediate, we could have had an agreement between Russia and Ukraine. Putin hates the west but not us. He would have listened to and most likely agreed to a middle ground. But our government did not show any interest. Thousands of innocent dead civilians and soliders, and I would include Russian soldiers here too as it is just Putin's war not Russia's, has had no impact on our ruthless government. That's what has saddened me.

    • @GreatPolishWingedHussars
      @GreatPolishWingedHussars 2 роки тому +1

Yes, unfortunately, Slavs fight against Slavs there! But actually, Putin is not the sole culprit with Russia. Why? Why are Russians being systematically made enemies by the American politics and propaganda of which Hollwood is a part? To answer this question one only have to know who has very, very, very much influence in the USA and uses this influence to influence American foreign policy. Other states have an armaments industry but in the US, the armaments industry has the state and this US military-industrial complex (short MIC )as a kind of co-government is so powerful that it also has a significant impact on foreign policy. The US military-industrial complex (MIC) is co-governs namely in USA. The term military-industrial complex is used in socio-critical analyzes to describe the close cooperation and mutual relationships between politicians, representatives of the military and representatives of the defense industry. That explains the cause of the behavior of the USA. The lobby of the MIC now has a state-supporting influence there. The MIC need a potent enemy to justify the armament. So the US MIC uses Russia to justify military spending. In his farewell speech of January 17, 1961, US President Dwight D. Eisenhower expressly warned of the interdependencies and influences of the military-industrial complex in the USA. Eisenhower, himself once the Army Chief of Staff, viewed the military-industrial complex as a threat to democratic institutions and democracy. The influence of this military-industrial complex on jobs and economic power leads prompt the political leadership to want to solve conflicts militarily rather than politically and thus act as an extended arm of the armaments industry lobby. The American MIC has an interest in the tensions with Russia. The enormous military spending in USA has to be justified and the IS militias are not enough to justify the billions for new weapon systems. Exports to European countries are also greatly encouraged by this conflict with Russia. Strong enemy states like Russia are necessary for this! That is why Russia was systematically made into an enemy partly also with provocations of the Ukraine. The Western media, with their anti-Russian propaganda, is another part of this provocation and production of enmity towards Russia. Ukraine is the useful servant of the USA in this game and therefore of the MIC. The ignorant politics should also increase the hostility towards Russia. Russians also make mistakes and simplify the propaganda. The biggest mistake then is the war against the Ukranians. Because of the Ukraine war, the US MIC can increase its profits immensely. The Russians reacted exactly as the US MIC wanted.
Here I also describe how the USA, and with it the West, acted according to the MIC's profit maximization goals. Russia was systematically made into an enemy through propaganda, which Hollywood is also part of. Ukraine's provocations were also useful in this regard. Russians also make mistakes and simplify the propaganda. The war against Ukraine is the biggest mistake! The Russians then allowed themselves to be provoked to attack Ukraine, which is a big mistake. But for decades before the Ukraine war, Russia was provoked and humiliated by the West. Why didn't the West put pressure on the Ukrainian government to hold referendums in Crimea and Donbass? That would have prevented the war with Russia and also prevented the civil war in Ukraine. Presumably the Russians in Crimea and Donbass would have decided to join Russia. But that would be their right according to the right of self-determination of peoples. But the right to self-determination was denied to the Russians in order to further provoke Russia. Russia was also provoked with the expansion of NATO to the east. Why this? Russia was hypocritically called a friend at the time. There was no danger at all. Why did NATO continue to exist at all? That was a Alliance of the Cold War and this war was over. NATO was actually superfluous. Instead of NATO, there should have been a European security concept that included Russia like the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council. This Council could have taken care of security in Europe instead of NATO. But the project was not continued and NATO was expanded instead. Russia was ready for a pan-European security alliance, but the West preferred NATO and deliberately excluded Russia. All attempts by the Russians to come to terms with the West have been systematically frustrated. The very sensible Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) was made naught by the West. The same applies to the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM Treaty. The NATO-Russia Council was also nullified. In addition, the Russians were provoked by stationing weapon systems in Eastern European countries. I couldn't cite various other examples that show that the relationship with Russia was systematically deteriorated and so Russia became the enemy of the West. All of this is actually primarily above all useful for the US military-industrial complex. These are the great profiteers of the conflict they caused. A part of the anti-Russian propaganda are Holliwood Movies which discredit the Russians.

Incidentally, in 1939 the Soviet Union, not Russia, was involved in the attack on Poland. Russia was one of the Soviet republics and not the entire Soviet Union. It is historically wrong to equate the Russians with the Soviets, the Communists and the Bolsheviks. The Soviets, and the Communists and Bolsheviks were international, not just Russian. They also thought international. They wanted the communist system for the whole world. Stalin was a Georgian, Trotsky was a Jew, Alexander Miasnikian was Armenian Bolshevik, Lazar Kaganovich(Kogan) was a Jew, Adolf Abramovich was Crimean Tatar communist, Vincas Mickevičius was a Lithuanian communist, Vilgelm Knorin was a Byelorussian communist, Pavel Pellinen was a Moldovian communist, Yefim Pestun was a Yakut and Karl Pauker was a Jew etc. The communists murdered as many Russians as Poles!
For the international communists, the decisive factor was whether someone was an enemy of the communist system and not nationality. Enemies or alleged enemies were murdered. But they also murdered indiscriminately to spread terror both in Poland and in Russia.

Here are some victories of the Hussars! Mostly the polish Hussars were clear numerical inferiority! Hundreds of of battles in the entire Polish history were epic and out of those, at least dozens were absolutely unique, especially the battles of the Hussars! All these battles of polish Hussars were victorious! The attacks by the hussars in all these battles were mostly decisive for the Polish victories in these battles. All the numbers are historically verified! No exaggeration here!
1531 Battle of Obertyn: Polish empire 6500 with 2,500 early hussars vs. Moldavia 17,000 cavalry! The counteratak of the cavalry with the hussars decided the battle . Losses: Poland 256 killed Moldavia 7,746 killed and 1,000 captured.
1577 Battle of Lubieszów: Polish empire 1,450 cavalry (1135 hussars) and the transylvanian vassal 1,050 infantry vs. Gdansk 12,000. The hussars attacked flank, with this, the entire Gdansk army broke and fled, and the hussars kept up the chase right to the Gdansk city gates. Losses: Gdansk 4400 dead and 5,000 taken prisoner, Poland and the vassal 100 wounded, 88 deaths.
1581 Battle of Mogilev (battle and siege): Less than 1,000 Poles (including 200 hussars, ca. 150 medium cavalry and ca. 150 cossack light- as well as armed civilians of the city of Mogilev) - defeated 30,000 Russians and Tatars. Polish fcasualties were minimal. Defenders of the city lost only 2 wounded people, nobody out of 200 hussars was killed (even though many were wounded)
1588 The Battle of Byczyna: 6,000 Poles vs. 6,500 Austrian! Eventually a Polish hussar counterattack on the left flank mauled Austrian cavalry and forced his army to start giving ground. The bloody retreat quickly turned into a general wild escape. The entire battle lasted approximately one to two hours. The Poles took control of Austrian artillery and turned the guns on the town. Before the Polish forces began their assault, Maximilian surrendered and was taken prisoner. Casualties: Poland 1,000 Austria 2,000
1600 Battle of Curtea de Argeș: Polish army of 1450, including 950 Hussars, defeated more than 7,000 Wallachians. Since the Hussars bore the brunt of the battle, one can find out that they have defeated 7 times the number!
1601 Battle of Wenden: The battle is significant as the first encounter between Swedish riders and Polish hussars. 700 Poles (including 350 Polish hussars) vs. more than 3,000 Swedish. Wiki quote: "The Swedish riders attempting to use Caracole tactics were faced with the charge of the hussars, commonly used on battlefields by the Polish armies. The fight did not last long, and the Swedish cavalry run away. When the retreating Swedish cavalry rode through the frozen river Gauja ice broke under the weight of the horses, causing further losses to the Swedish forces." Losses: Poland 10 dead 60 wounded , Sweden 1,900 dead and wounded, 100 captured.
1601 Battle of Kokenhausen: Poland 300 infantry and 2,700 cavalry vs. Sweden 900 infantry 4,000 cavalry! Polish cavalry first broke the Swedish left flank. The Swedish counterattack on the right flank, which while initially successful, was in turn broken by the Polish hussar counterattack. Poland 200 losses and Sweden 2,000-3,000 losses.
1604 Battle of Weissenstein: Poland 2300 vs. Sweden 5000! The Swedish army was pushed to the swamp by the Hussars. Losses: Sweden 3000 killed and wounded Poland: 50 killed, 100 wounded
1604 Battle of Novgorod-Seversky: Poland 15,000 vs. Russia 40,000 and 1500 in garrison of Novhorod-Siverskyi. The hussars decide the battle by smashing the right wing of the Russian army and by throwing the center into chaos.
1605 Battle of Kircholm: Poland and the vassal Duchy of Courland 3,440 (1,750 hussars, 200 riders, 450 light Cossacks and Tatars, 1,040 Haiduk-style infantry) vs. Sweden supported by Scottish, Dutch and German, mercenaries. 8,358 pike and shot formations, 2,500 riders and 11 cannons so a total of 10,868! The Hussars launched a devastating charge against the enemy which ended the battle in the decisive victory of the Polish forces. The battle was decided in all of 20 minutes! Losses: Poland 100 killed and 200 wounded, Sweden 7,600-8,000 killed and captured!
1610 Battle of Klushino: The enemies outnumbered the Polish army 5 to 1. The crushing victory of Polish army 6,800 including about 5,600 Hussars against 35,000 Russian and Swedish troops. The size of the enemy made that the hussar have to charge even 10 times. The battle opened the way for Poles to Moscow, where Polish prince Władysław became the tsar. Losses: Poland 400 , Russia 5,000.
1621 Battle of Khotyn: Poland 25,000 and 20,000 Cossaks vs. 120,000-160,000 Ottoman troops. Around 10,000 Ottomans moved to attack, but then three squadrons of hussars counterattacked with 650 men. The Sipahi could not withstand the charge and they retreated chaotically. The Polish charge inflicted heavy casualties and had a huge impact on the morale of the Ottoman army. Losses: Ottomans ca. 40,000, Poland ca. 14,000
1624 Battle of Martynów: 5,000 Poles and Cossacks (600 hussars) vs. 15,000 Crimean Tatars! The counterattack of only 600 hussars in connection with a Polish faked withdrawal was crucial to the battle. Polish forces pursued the fleeing Tatars to capture or kill them.
1644 Battle of Ochmatów: Poland 20,000 vs. 20,000 Crimean Tatars! The decisive attack was of course carried out by the hussars, which triggered a general escape of the Tatars! Losses: Poland minimal and Crimean Tatars 4,000.
1651 Battle of Berestechko: Poland 80,000 of which 40,000 were Pospolite ruszenie militias, 1,500 Lithuanian volunteers and mercenary such as 12,255 Cossacks, 2,790 Hungarians, 1000 Tatars and 8900 mercenaries from the German countries vs. 100,000 Cossacks 50,000 Crimean Tatars and several thousands Turks, and Vlachs so in total 200,000. So a Polish 80,000 army against a 200,000 Ottoman army. On first day of the battle Polish cavalry pancerni and Hussars repulsed the Tatars, who suffered heavy losses. This victory spurred the rest of the Polish troops on! The Poles scoffed the Poles were victorious "since their army sustained that first attack cheerfully and in high spirits". The battle was then decided in favor of the Poles due to the overwhelming firepower of the artillery and infantry! Losses: Poland 700, Crimean Tatars and Cossacks 40,000 to 80,000!
1660 Battle of Kutyszcze: 140 Hussars vs. 3,500 Russians and Cossacks! Two incomplete Hussar banners of the Polish forces operating in the east of the empire, caught up the retreating Russian-Cossacks army. 140 Polish horsemen devastated 3,500 Russian cavalry and Cossack infantry, gaining an enemy stock. In this encounter Hussars did not suffer any losses. The power relation was thus: 25:1!
1660 Battle of Polonka: 13,000 on the Polish side vs, 9,000 Russians! The Polish hussars and pancerni cavalry made the crucial attacks. On the Polish side were 300 killed and on the Russian side were 4,200 killed.
1672 Battle of Komarno: 2,500 Poles (1,500 hussars) vs. a marauding horde of 10,000 Tatars. The slaughter of the invaders continued until nighttime, and only 1,500 Tatars managed to cross the Dniester, and return to their homeland. Polish forces also freed some 20,000 civilians, captured by the hordes. The Polish losses were low!
1672 Battle of Kałusz: 1,500 Polish Hussars against 8,000 Ottomans, Cossacks and Tatars. Losses: The Poles had only a few wounded, the enemies of the Poles had 6000 fallen!
1673 Battle of Khotyn: Poland 29,000-30,000 and 65 cannons vs. Ottomans, 35,000. The 1670 husars have won an important victory against the Ottoman Sipahi cavalry! Poland: 2,000 killed and wounded, Ottomans 20,000 killed and wounded
1675 Battle of Lwów: Poland 6,000 vs. Ottomans 20,000! According to Wikipedia, the Hussars pursuit of the Ottoman cavalry lasted until the dusk.
1683 Battle of Vienna: The most famous battle of the hussars! Hussars’s charge of Polish king Jan III Sobieski broke the siege of Vienna and forced the Ottoman army to retreat.
1694 Battle of Hodów: Polish victory because the enemy was repulsed! Known also as one of Polish Thermopylae. 300 Polish Pancerni heavy cavalry and 100 polisch hussars charged in first encounter the 700-strong Tatar vanguard and made them withdraw. Due to overwhelming enemy numbers Polish forces retreated to Hodów village and fortified the position with everything they found. The impact lasted 6 hours. When the Poles ran out of ammunition, they fired at their enemies by putting arrows into pistols. Unable to defeat the Poles, the Tatars sent Polish-speaking Lipka Tatars who defected to the enemy to convince the Polish troops to surrender. The Polish commander replied "Come and get us if you can". Thereupon the Tatars withdrew and gave up on the entire raid. This example reflects the knightly spirit of the Polish hussars but also of the Pancerni. Honor, bravery, and sacrafice for the homeland were valued the most amongst by them. So 100 hussars and 300 Pancerni successfully repelled the attack of about 40,000 Crimean Tatars and forced the enemy to retreat. Incredible that 400 against 40,000 have prevailed but really true! What is the difference betwen 300 Spartans of the Thermopylae and 400 Hussars and Pancerni of Hodów? Hussars won their fight.

Poland has shown the world what humanitarianism means. The efforts by the government and people of Poland to take in over 2.2 million Ukrainian people fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and provide them with food, shelter ,clothing etc has been an amazing .What a massive effort to take in so many in such a short time period. People from all over the world may think that Polish aid is just a gesture of a tender heart. It is true. But this truth is not simple. To understand the national character of Poles and the nature of the help Poles provide to Ukrainians, you should learn the history of Polish-Ukrainian relations, with particular emphasis on WWII. When you find out what happened then, only then will you open your eyes wide, looking at Polish help.

I'm Polish and mind few very important points - Ukraine (in the meaning of teritory) was for ages a part of Polish Kingdom (especially XVI-XVIII century), up to WW2 Western Ukraine (eg. Lviv) was within borders of Republic o Poland (in 1945 it was assigned to CCCP, later became a part of independent Ukraine state). So there are strong ties between both nations, eventhough it wasn't easy all those years and we also fought hard against each other. Nevertheless its much more easier for Polish people to accept Ukrainian refugees than any other (Asian, Middle West etc).
Second - the civilisation gap (skin colour, religion, customs, attitude to women) is very small. Third - for last decade Poland already had a massive labour imigraton from Ukraine. In most big cities its was almost impossible to go to any shop or restaurant and not be served by Ukrainian workers, the same in construction business etc. Last not least - 95% of Ukrainians who came after 24th February are women and children - people who really need help and aren't here just because they want go go to Germany and live from social benefits.
