Kirby smart is the best thing yo ever happen to uga football. We can lose any player, coach, media people, fan, alumn, etc ..kirby smart IS uga football. The last two games his dad saw were ga tech and the sec championship games. What a gift and how proud he mustve been. We love you kirby!
Wouldve lost 6 games without Beck this year. Only go as far as Beck can take them. Guy risked his own reputation forcing explosives that just woupdnt happen. Just dont have the weapons.
I knew Georgia was in trouble after the Alabama game. As bad as our team was, I knew Georgia was really struggling. Both Bama and Georgia had issues consistently all year. Will be interesting to see if Kirby can fix Georgia and whether Deboer rights the ship at Alabama or completely capsizes next year. Kirby has won with the talent advantage and they did not have that this year in many games. As for Bama, the question is how painful the post Saban era is going to be. Right now, I'm predicting a more balanced SEC, which means a lot of losses and a lack of national championships.
Bobo does need to gogo, but he’s not the only issue. Searles the OL coach also needs the boot, he’s done just awful. And we need WRs that don’t soak their fingers in butter before every play. Thankfully we have a good class coming in that will hopefully help with that, but the other two issues need to be fixed first. It’s on Kirby to look past the friendship he has and make the move to kick them out
Where was Frazier tonight? Etienne was running like he wasn’t even close to 100%. Why didn’t Stockton use his legs more? There were several plays he could have picked up yardage but handed off to an apparently still injured Etienne. Maybe they were worried he’d get injured and we’d be down to a freshman QB….this game plan, or lack thereof seemed like it was the same as a Carson Beck game plan. Oh well, we’ll see what happens next season. Go Dawgs!
Honestly, who did y’all expect to show up after watching this season? This is the same team we have watched all year and they were out coached. We got beat with old school football. I feel like we are going back to the Richt days. Never changing with the times. Coordinators and schemes on BOTH sides need to be evaluated. Great game by the Notre Dame coaches and players.
You say Georgia doesnt have any superstars where everybody knows their name, but neither does Notre Dame -- and certainly fewer former 5-star HS recruits on the roster. Otherwise nice recap and I enjoyed you two respectfully arguing different perspectives. Georgia was largely ranked #1 in the preseason based on the past 5 years of winning. They get more benefit of the doubt than anyone aside from maybe OSU and Bama. But every season is a new season. I hope every football program can aspire to winning 2 national titles in the last three seasons and then go out and beat Texas twice, play the third toughest schedule in FBS, win an SEC title, and then feel like 11-3 was a train wreck. If that's how the "haves" are living, I'll take some of that.
Your ego was a train wreck. GA fans couldn't accept that this was a close game on paper. "Who did ND play?" they kept asking, acting as if Alabama (9-4) was great and Army (12-2) was terrible. The math showed GA played a 39% harder schedule, but GA lost twice as many games. You had an untested rookie and we had to see this half by half comparison of the ONLY half he played in (when the other team couldn't have prepared). GA fans had to say "GA 35 ND 14" and thought their ego would somehow be the difference. Take some of that.
@@Will-fk2dk Notre Dame is simply awesome this year. They have now had 12 straight wins and in every game led by 13+ points in the 4th quarter. It had been 11 straight with 14+ point lead until this game (23 is 2nd lowest ND scored besides NIU). GA was similar to Texas A&M who ND beat 23-13 in first game.

Kudos to Smith for balling but didn’t make up for Bell’s many dropped passes. 4) Why wasn’t Frazier used more. He was a baller every time he touched the FB. 5) Did I mention to fire Bobo? Worst play caller ever. Never been good 6) we need better special teams coaches. Unacceptable to give up a kick return for TD. Completely unacceptable. Only bad teams w no athletes do that. 7) Our coaches got out coached by a bunch of Catholics. As a catholic I should be happy but team loyalty runs deep man. 8) if that dude on the sideline is on the team next year I quit. 9) Did I mention that Gunner is a baller? Use his arm, don’t need him running he’s accurate as crap!!! 10) Did I mention to fire Bobo? Great season w SEC championship but this team is more talented than just SEC Championship
Neutral fan. I understand you guys don't like Bobo but doesn't your note on the Wr's have a lot to do with your offensive problems? They had almost 50 drops and lead the country. Also may need a change at oline coach.
First, less than 50% of the players on the team are Catholic. Also, Notre Dame is really, really good this year. Maybe just accept that. Notre Dame was MUCH faster on Defense than Georgia's Offense. The Coaching Staff for ND is excellent, and they have the team ready to play each week. This was a good, low scoring game for most of the time, but Notre Dame broke it open with Denfese and Special Teams. Congrats on a great season Georgia. GO IRSH!!!

I knew they weren’t winning a natty this year. I wasn’t high on Beck and Kirby couldn’t get Gunner into more games because he was too loyal to beck. O-line is garbage. Defense was inconsistent every single game. Coaching probably needs to be reassessed for next season and if Kirby keeps playing nice with everyone around him, he might never win a natty again.
Yep, I believe part of his forcing the ball was his major frustration with Bobo’s play calling, which he finally gave up on and decided to just do what he could.
