Another nostalgic and thought provoking video! I also got my start with Palladium books. Rifts specifically, though recently I revisited Heroes Unlimited.
While I played Robotech first, TMNT was the first game I got sucked into. I've run multiple TMNT/AtB (1E) campaigns over the years and am crazy excited for the re-release of the game. My real hope is that this leads to proper (Rifts World Book style) expansions for the current After the Bomb. There are zero problems with the actual Pallidum rules. There are some problems with the organization and layout of the books, and this is where I believe Sean can push this amazing system over the top. The environment right now (with all of the WotC shenanigans) is ripe for a Palladium surge!
This Kickstarter is going to be HUGE! Even if you have the original books, this is a great opportunity to get play copies and hopefully some new content as well.
Just found this announcement today ... and I'm gitty as Shool girl!... just fucken awesome. This even tops Alien rpg for me! God has answered, I'm going back to church!
Thanks for this brother, I guess I have to dust off my wolverine sniper. It's good to see you back doing this. Keep on keeping on, take care and God bless 😎🍻🤘
It is pretty exciting news. Do you hope they stick to the original rules OR are you hoping they adapt the rules to the current Palladium System OR do you hope that they try to keep some of the elements that made it unique but come up with new rules for this? Curious as to your thoughts. Would you be interested in recording a Zoom call discussing this news sometime?
I have the original and ~3 supplements, I loved the character creation crunch, it was great "lonely fun". Teenage me could run it ok, though it was as you mentioned a pretty heavy system; adult me looks at it (I pull it out every year or so to admire character creation) and wonders how I pulled it off. Hopefully some cleaning up and streamlining happens. The mental health rules (and d10 roll) really need an update, they're super cringeworthy now. I also find superhero RPGs the hardest to come up with scenarios for that aren't fight scene, rescue scene, fight scene, fight scene.
@@cyberpunkalphamale It is, though I can't claim credit for it, I think I first heard it on the Smart Party podcast. Traveller was similar with making worlds and ships.

Palladium's been hitting it out of the park recently, so I'm pretty Hype for this remaster 😎 👍

Let's hope Palladium keeps everything as original as they can, especially if the series leads to some new content entirely further on down the line!
The best supplement is Trucking Turtles.
Another great video discussion!👍

Can't wait! I've been meaning to pick up these books for a while and it's nice that I can get a new edition of them that also supports Palladium
Welcome back QuestWise and thanks for the great news
I see a lot of turtle power, ninja filled action pizza parties in the future.

I hope they simply revise and reorganize the original rules. I feel as if it was a perfectly fine system as it was. It just needs a bit of a glow-up.

The Mental Health tables had been changed long ago!
Lonely fun is a great way to put it. I did the same thing, sitting on the floor for hours playing with builds.

@@shallendor Good to hear!
The mental health rules are and always have been, optional.
