Sad to see one of my favorite game franchises end. I'm hyped for the Reignited Trilogy. And as for it being on hiatus, the franchise is done outside of that comic bundle, season 3 of Academy, and that mobile game. Activision won't support something that isn't profitable. The market just got over saturated, Activision got greedy with the toys, interest decreasing, and decline in quality. Still it was a fun run for the franchise and I got plenty of enjoyment out of it.
The franchise isn’t over. Activision just put the console games on hold to work on a mobile game. After the mobile game comes out, Activision will get right back to making the console games.

I have a game idea that will save the game franchise. Each game introduced a new style of game play right? So all we need to do is think of a new playability and a toy to go with it
E.G. the power cores will give players the Ability to change powers and the look of it. This is the best I could think of right know so any ideas?

I remember Giants so well. Crusher was pretty much the only skylander I used to beat the game. I swear that game, Drawn to Life, and Force Unleashed were my childhood. I noticed how less and less effort was put into these games with each yearly release, even though I never was a Spyro fan.
The cutscenes noticeably got worse, the games became more and more repetitive and dull as they shoved out more and more sequels. Even though these games aren’t as good as they used to be, they are still okayish.
Even if they are cash-grabs by this point, they are still “decent” enough to hold my attention for at least a couple minutes.

It's so odd how the animation quality worsened over the years. Honestly Spyro's Adventure and Giants had the best cutscene animation quality.
Lord Of The Illuminati Different animation companies. Giants, Swap Force and Trap Team had the same animators, PandaPanther.

A game that I grew up with. I’ll never forget how much fun I had playing these games, and how excited I was each Christmas to get the newest game. I’m sad it ended but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Long live Skylanders.
One of the sweetest memory i have from skylanders is that one time i won a tournament and won the trap team game with the set(portal,slylanders). The tournamant was so intense, i played the golden nigth shift and won all my game, in the final, i played against my best friend and won, we're still friends to this day but sometime this tournament comes back into our discussions and we are still hyped by it. Thank you Skylanders for this wondeful childhood you gave me

No I’m sorry but I’m one of those OGs who still plays and still collects and I just want to say yes they were lazy on superchargers with new skylanders but those are one of my favorite skylanders and sure the car thing kinda sucked but there’s gotta be a gimic so I would probably give it an 8 I would give swap force a 20/10 but I just like imaginators cause it’s also kind of a better trap team because the villains are actually decent to play I feel like they tried a little more than superchargers I mean they at least had more than like 2 skylanders on each element I also trap team kinda looked worse than swap force but can’t we all agree they put some to a lot of effort into all the games

CrystalBlazier well I only liked some of Superchargers and some of Imaginators because to me I thought Swap Force was when the graphics were at their best and even though Trap Team didn’t have those same graphics I still thought Trap Team was the best game
I remembered getting to play the first 4 games before having to get rid of them
In the first game my favorite was either trigger happy or gill grunt, but then it shifted to drobot. I was only able to get the pirate expansion and still had a blast every time. When me and my best friend Gabriel played it, we usually ran around the house rather than played making fun of Hugos sheep fear
Then i moved away from Florida and then here to Virginia. Luckily i got my hands on Disney Infinity and Giants. My favorite immediately shifted to Pop Fizz and i would always put him in the toy soldier hat from the willakin village. I did only get one Giant, which was Tree Rex.
Then Swap force came and i had a bigger blast with it. It made me fall in love with Tessa, which possibly can make me a furry and enjoy playing Tabaxi characters in dnd which i played in the future, and i would always play with Night Shift but swap him mainly with Swash Bucklers and Magma charges bottoms. I still have a small crush on Tessa to this day. Also i was frustrated at Kao’s moms fight.
Then trap force came and i just played it, maining Snap Shot. I had fun with it for some time and even got Wolfgang and immediately played with him a lot. Not many memories and i never got that Kaos trap....
Then lego dimensions came and i had to either get rid of my skylanders or disney infinity figures. I gave the skylanders up for it only to be disappointed with dimensions and its future, plus hearing disney infinity being cancelled. Today, getting rid of my skylanders is one of my biggest regrets.
Now i look back and see imaginators wishing i got to play it, only doing so once. If i could go back and play with my best friend, keep swapping, and play i would. The thing is growing up, you watch as not only your life, but everything else change. The best thing to do is look back to these memories and savor them, and maybe one day you can relive them in a way. And though i hear skylanders might return, i very much hope so and hope to relive the old days once again

I never had the games, but I distinctly remember reading and re-reading the game guide for Skylanders Giants, not caring much about the zones and stuff, but just enjoying reading about what each character can do.

Surprisingly I actually managed to get all the giants (took a lot of patience and convincing of parents to buy them for me)
N3BULA V, the good part of giants is that there where only 8 special sky landers. In trap team there where a bunch of characters you could play with only one thing.

The Skylanders games I've played so far.
#1: Giants. It was an amazing game, it was honestly so cool how they made the giants walk on enemies and have a whole another team working together.
#2: Trap Team. I loved it, it was honestly so mind blowing how you could trap enemies and become them for a certain amount of time. The sidekicks were also useful! I never got the kaos trap, but I didn't care. I still was glad to beat the game.
#3: Spyro's Adventure: Got the game after trap team, and actually only had one skylander that was a series one, and that was lightning rod. It was awesome. The levels were way to long to beat to only get a certain amount of items.
#4: Swap Force. Swap Force, was fun and all, but I dislike the game. Yes, it was cool how you can swap the skylanders and all, but the levels were so easy!
I will be trying out SuperChargers and Imaginators, and when I do, I will edit this comment and give my reviews on it.

Swap force was the beginning of the money cows because the elemental gates could only be opened by swap force skylanders and apparently swap force levels were a hour to complete
