Great Job Steve, I am not a plumber and now I understand why you must call one and not try this by yourself. In 10 minutes you show off well-earned years of experience and knowledge. Thanks!

Having seen 50 or more videos by Steve, I have to say one of my favorite parts is when I'm introduced to yet another Lavimoniere Apparatus! I think my favorite is still the Gain Bottle Oil Line Smag Apparatus, just because of the nice, satisfying "thunk" it makes when the smag is blown from the line into the Gain bottle, but the Kitchen Sink Hose Attachment Apparatus shown in this video is awesome, too! Such ingenuity, born of decades of professional plumbing and a facility with tools and equipment!

I like that water hose clamped to the sink faucet, no need to source elsewhere and bring it in. I like the coupling clamp, too, I've wondered how some would be reassembled. Good job.

Another better idea is to use a high power transfer pump from harbor freight. That will push the debris out of the pipe including all sediment removed from ryobi automatic drain auger or manual snake auger

I don't understand why there is food in the kitchen sink because there is no garbage disposal so of course, it's going to get clogged? Why are they even putting food/grease down here to begin with? Install a garbage disposal or stop? Then again, I have far more clogs since I got the garbage disposal.

@@kingjames4886 The rubber sleeve acts like a buffer between different metals. 1. the copper pipe and 2. the clamp looks like stainless steel. basically so they won't make contact with each other and cross contaminate which would cause corrosion. usually those rubber sleeves come with those types of clamps.

Great video sir. Love the accent too. Yeah. I've done this with 50' of snake to one of our drains. Little bit of sediment but no snags or clogs. Drain ate the whole snake. Still, sometimes the washing machine emptying itself causes it to back up and I still don't have a good explanation for it. No roots in the pipe, nice and freely feeds the snake back and forth. I'm ... stumped. Let's see if it happens again. Might have to go pro for this one which is too bad. I have fixed every drain in the house myself except this one to the dry well.

Thank you! I enjoyed this! I took off my pee trap? From my bathroom wall sink that has been completely stopped up for weeks. I use my main bsth sink but really want to use my bedroom sink again. So thinking something blocking in the little pee trap zI took it apart, then the back pipe came off the wall because the o ring was rusted. Nothing was in the pee trap so the clog is in the wall. I am 65 in heart failure so hard for me to do much. But knowing if I call a plumber and he will do what you are doing and I pay him a few hundred or so at least I know what I am paying him for. I find plumbing interesting.

I got a blocked sink, and the sewer line goes straight to another sink on the wall behind.
I can't get my snake to go down the T to the main line.

Won't do anything for the 2000 layer bacteril build up that forms in these laterals. I opened a 70 year old steel drain line yesterday. The 1 1/2 inch pipe had a water channel thru it of less than a half inch . Almost solid dead bacteria and calcium build up. That chain would have done nothing . Needed a cutter head.

Vinegar and baking soda mix. Things like draino and other chemical based cleaners might eat away at your piping if it sits or is used too frequently. Vinegar and baking soda help lift grim off the lining of your pipes via its fizzing action which can then be rinsed away with warm/hot water.

I really would like to know your experience about this
A couple of question for a plumber or any drain technician
    1) Drain cleaning equipment, I do not know if it is just me, but Ridgid is a piece of shit drain cleaning equipment, for instance, I have tried their Ridgid K-45 it is not good enough compared to the Spartan 700, their K400 it is a piece of shit compared to the General Jr.
I bought me a General easy rooter which I haven't used it yet.
I'm thinking about getting me a General super Vee and I will compare it with Ridgid K45, Spartan 700.
So What have been your experiences regarding drain cleaning equipment with Spartan & General, trojan, I wouldn't even consider Ridgid?
    2) In a case of a bad blockage or badly clogged in a branch (2'' line)
does a bigger cable help? for instance a 1/2'' of 5/8'' cable.
I had a bad clogged the other day, on a KS drain, I was using the Jr. General drain auger but I could get it clear, on the contrary, my tip fell off, as a matter of fact, I thought I kinked my cable but I didn't when I pulled it out, I just couldn't get the line clear.
    Thanks

I KNOW THIS VIDEO IS OLD, BUT WOULD A WET VACUUM COLLECT ALL THE DEBRIS FROM THE DRAIN LINE?

Do you have a video on how to replace the snub-out? I've got a copper one with a pin hole right next to the wall. It's wielded. Not sure on how to replace it. Any advice will be appreciated.

Clean it well and try urethane caulk and fiberglass cloth. Urethane will grab toi almost anything and sets up from the moisture in the air.

My parents have a clogged kitchen sink everything else is working fine They said it is backing up in to the bathroom sink. I was just wondering what you think I should try first.

Kitchen clog. Snaked sink from under sink till it stopped, did the same from the washout under the cabinets till it stopped. Still wont drain. HELP. Bathrooms drains flow freely.

I did this but now the pipes leak that attach directly to the double sink drains. I have 2 buckets underneath catching the drips. What now?

Use Teflon tape. Seals the connections.
