Verily a God of Indian violin he was. Fortunate to have heard him live many times. When he wasn't doing the impossible, he could weave absolute magic with the simplest and wittiest of phrases. His music forever echoes in your ears once you've heard it. Very simple and humble soul, absolutely disciplined and focused. He was a like a yogi who seems to have taken this life avatar for the sole mission of mastering the Indian violin and when it was done he departed for the Gods. We have not nor will we see another like MSG.
Splendid! I find no other words to appreciate MSG's ingenuity. Will the Almighty make him to reborn in this world with the same faculty for the benefit of rasikas of future generations?

I fully agree with your valuable comments. All family members are experts in handling violin and to perform Karnatic Music concerts in a beautiful manner. I have had the pleasure to hear Shri M.S. Gopalakrishnan and Smt. Narmada both playing violin individually and jointly. Their contributions are indeed great to the Karnatic Music. Enjoyable to hear. - "Mandakolathur Subramanian."
