Nice! Didn't my friend John Henry play drums for the Hurricanes for awhile. Not sure as I left the area over 30 years ago. But, I did run into John about 15 years ago when I was back down. R.I.P. John
Thanks for your comment! Yes, indeed, John Henry was in the Hurricanes Band for many, many years. I think we had at least a 20 year run together. John was such a fine musician, a great vocalist and drummer. He was also charming, funny & charismatic, but also a Peter Pan type .... LoL! I wish John was still with us, we really adored him.
@@mmmatthewww Yes, it was sad to hear of his passing. Went to school with him and friends in Venice back in the day! I don't think that we ever met. But, we could have.
Always liked the Kitty Hawk sticker on "Dangerous" Dan Tolers amp not to mention his playing! I like him on the Strat just like the solo on " I'm No Angel" and loved him with ABB and Great Southern! I remember playing on the road with the man on the keys, Michael Hensley! If There's A Rock&Roll Heaven, I know Dan Toler is in it! R.I.P. Dan & Frankie Toler.
Vary underrated, playing in one of the great guitar bands ever. He was so laid back. Yet playing note for note with dickie makes him a great guitar player Rest In Peace.say hello to all the guys and gals in R and R heaven you definitely earned your spot.
Enjoyed my close-up experience with Mr. Toler and band and Dickie Betts in the Surf ballroom Clear Lake Iowa a few years ago. What a pleasure to meet such a gentleman and accomplished musician. Rest in peace Sir and thanks for everything!
Robert, you are the Man! Thanks so much for your kind words. Danny was an absolute gem. He elevated everyone's play in the band because of the immense respect you have for him and also, of course, because of his incredible musical talent.
Wow, u and Dan should have been in a permanent band together. I would have been the first one to buy the cd. Thanks for being such a gentlemen to Danny and turning him loose.U both sound great.
Dammit with the world..... why is the genuine barroom heavyweights so overlooked? Hope DDT is sleeping well and no longer in any kind of whatever ailed him.......geeze! Monster Monster player!
