Thanks for the spreadsheet sheet saved me doing the same test and documenting. Many don’t appreciate enough the amount of work that goes into preparing a video
Thank you for the tests. My mate told me about this and even though I'm a budget shooter I don't think I'd ever use it. I think the results you're getting are very similar to a SanDisk Extreme pro SD card so I'll just stick to those for most stuff. Again, really appreciate the time you took to do these tests 🙌🏾
Hi! I want to buy this for emergency stuff for my MacBook? Like phone backups if I'm somewhere in vacation. Since it's very small I'd just put with my keys together. Do you recommend it? Have you done a test with real write/read speeds? I've seen reviews on Amazon where people got read speeds of around 410mb/s and write of 90mb/s, but other people getting reads of 100mb/s and write of 30mb/s. Thanks!
hello, what kind of dual flash drive with type c and usb can you recommend for watching and downloading 4k 60fps videos without problems, whatever the price, I want something good
Hi there. Thank you for testing this pen drive. I have an iphone 15 pro max and I want to record Pro Res LT to an external drive. Pro Res LT with apple log. All I need- I have a Samsung T7 SSD drive but I would prefer a lighter and smaller drive like this Samsung-specially when I want to use the iphone on a small gimbal-for Broll mostly...so...this one is not fast enough. What else have you tested that will work for 4k60fps apple pro res LT? have you tried the SK 512GB Dual USB C Flash Drive, 2-in-1 External USB 3.2 Gen2? It's a USB drive and it has USB C on one end and regular USB A at the other...I wonder if it is really fast for video recording with my new iphone 15 pro max...easier to carry than my Samsung T7 SSD. Also I want to keep the weight to a minimum so that I can use the drive attached to the phone while on a small gimbal like the Insta 360 Flow which can only carry 300 grams. Thanks
@Olivier Leroy Good point. I did already order it so hopefully I can use it without taking off my phone case. Thank's for creating this content. I found your video very helpful into making this purchase. 👍🏼
It is marketed with 400mb's write speeds, a SSD territory, but basically it is not true, it is barely half of claimed speed. Any similar product with better write speeds?

No problem! And yea the SD cards I have were able to get a little higher quality recording settings, so I would say stick with that

Same test but with a usb-c micro sd reader and a v90 card?

thanks great review..
Interesting test, great job!
Thank you!
i wish it was in black
So can I plug this into my phone and transfer all of my photos and videos and keep it there until I want to view them
Yeah you can Draymond. As long as your phone can read the files/file system
Would you say this is perfect for a back up phone storage?
Yes, but depending on the thickness of your phone case you might have trouble sticking it in.

I’ll be honest, I know you said it doesn’t work, but I’m too curious not to try it on the SIGMA fp 😂
Haha the 4K worked pretty well on the pocket, so it just might work on the fp!
Damn I got the 128 and had to remove the loop for the keychain holder. Did all that and it does not work with DNG footage. WOMP
WOMP
Bummmerrrr. You still going strong with the DNGs?
@@CodyPyper I try! lol

Not that I'm aware of unfortunately
