Gordon: “Aren’t you the most experienced chef in here?”
Raj: “Yes.”
Gordon: “You’ve been cooking longer than me.”
Raj: “Yes.”
Gordon: “S**t!”
Never fails to make me laugh. 😂
They clearly casted him as a comic relief and it worked
And fun fact, Raj is actually around 2 years older than Chef Ramsay
@@margarethmichelina5146 4 years actually
Season aired in 2010, Gordon Ramsay was turning 44, and Raj was 49
I think raj was actually a decent cook. His seafood pancake was good but a mess according to Gordon. Made it far into the competition at 13th I think. And didn't even get kicked out mid service
@Isaac_potion made it far? He was the 4th boot and that's after someone left because of health, was on the winning team and then someone on his team singlehandedly tanked the service
Its unfair how Ben and Autumn were treated. Yet people like Elise and Jen got away with everything.
Elise got away with so much shit. She acted crazy towards everyone
Ben’s issue was that he was such a kiss … . It’s painfully annoying when you could tell it.
He didn’t act real and faked to be humbled.
He took Ramsey as his equal in the kitchen.
Any issue Gordon pointed out.
“Yeah, bro. Can’t believe I am making this rookie mistakes”
He could never be brought down to earth and actually learn.
Is like if you are ask someone to be punctual.
They come to very day a minute or two late but before you can reprimand them they are already at the door “I am mad, how can I be messing up this bad everyday. Sorry, I know better”
What do you say to that?
@@botchedoperations3485 Season 5, Ben?
@@pineapplegamer6986 Elise literally got to keep her jacket, not just once but TWICE.
It's obvious the producers kept Elise and Jen around for drama, nothing else.
Season 5 was definitely when Gordon was at his angriest, with Colleen, Ben, and Seth becoming his punching bags, J and Lacey getting ejected, and the confrontation with Giovanni at the Final 6.
FORREST!!!!
Ben was still not awful though! Giovanni had a meltdown, and had Robert not been hospitalized be would have been in the top 3
True, but season 1 and 7 take that crown
@@TheFredster32 Robert would never won anyway, Gordon don't want a head chef who gets a heart attack everytime he's stressed.
And Robert should've never come back the next season, he acts like a victim and like someone kidnapped him, injected 200 pounds of fat in him and left him on the street.
Colleen is definitely the person who has the highest ratio of Gordon’s respect in relation to their actual cooking ability
Chef Ramsay must have been bullied by a kid named Ben growing up, given how much he ripped into both Bens in S4-S5
@Dan Alek- The Ultimate Storyteller Honestly, Ramasey deserved it. What a wanker.
@Dan Alek- The Ultimate Storyteller not to mention his mentor is Marco Pierre White. All the mental stress built up and he unleashed it on Hell's Kitchen chefs
What about Benjamin on Season 7? He also kinda harsh to him.
@@aslamnurfikri7640 Gordon and Marco both learned under French chefs too, who were apparently even more brutal
The way he whispers "I want you out" in his ears up close just gives me a shiver up my spine every time. Ramsay is a mean 'un
I feel bad for autumn. he took her calm demeanour as indifference. as someone with inattentive adhd who tends to move slowly despite how frantic I may be, I really felt for her and how confused she was about what she was doing wrong... I think gordon forgets that some people just act differently in professional settings sometimes
She could also be used to modifying her emotions so ppl around her don’t react negatively. And I’ve had ppl tell me they thought I was mean when I was just minding my business and never said a word to them so it’s really frustrating to see it happen to someone because she didn’t react “the right way”. She might just react differently to stress. That was pretty bad
@@Chellz801 yeah, I know I do that. masking as a defense mechanism sucks.
I can imagine he would probably have come to understand the way she works if he'd given her more time and actually properly watched her as she went. his constant badgering mixed with the stress of getting the food out, plus the high stakes of the competition in general most likely messed with her performance
@@duplollamaree1250
Autumn simply needed to meet Ramsay in his office and explain her actions. As we have seen numerous times, Ramsay is more than accommodating when people tell him their stories. Like Robert -- who was furious when Ramsay called him "Bobby", and then he explained that it reminded him of his abusive father, and Gordon understood.
@@Planefan1000 I hope that's what would have happened. I have tried explaining myself before and it just made people more angry because I couldn't get the words to come out right. gordon does seem like a super understanding guy, and he even seemed to change his course of action for obviously neurodivergent people on kitchen nightmares in the past. sadly the truth is you can never be sur ehow people will react, and for many that means not interacting at all just to avoid a negative outcome
I think the issue is that it was detrimental towards what he was looking for in this competition, so while she may have not been doing anything wrong, she was not a good fit for what was needed
Ben from season 5 is my favourite contestant in Hell Kitchen. Sure, he struggled from times to times, but unlike many others he never made excuses, grew and took Ramsay's anger like a champ.
He didn't deserve to be yelled at as much as he was.
I actually agree with this. And in the last service he busted his ass to help Danny win. He seemed like a stand-up guy. Yeah, he could be long winded and a little ridiculous at times, but he was actually trying. I never understood why Ramsay had it out for him.
@@MdnightWnd Meanwhile, Giovanni even expressed that he didn't care who win, he just didn't want to be there. Then, why the hell were you there?
@@MdnightWnd I think that Gordon saw in him potential that he wasn't fulfilling, and thought he could've done much better.
He might have been more successful if he wasn't trying to have other chefs cook his cahck.
He grew all right. Grew about 120lbs. Fat as hell today.
Gordon was too harsh on Autumn. Some people are just naturally calm. I mean, isn't that the type of personality you actually NEED in a kitchen? Someone who remains calm and never loses their thought process.
Man, every time I watch season 7 I feel bad for Autumn, despite finishing in 4th, it was really hard for her.
Everyone hated her for no good reason. The only person that was decent to her was Hollie which paid off for her as Autumn carried her team in the Finale
Literally just watched that season and I liked Autumn, she got a lot of stick from her team for no real reason!
Racism allegations I sense.
I So agree. Her team was on her for no reason. I would like to ask that question to her ex teammates.
Autumn was repeatedly put up by Jay because he was protecting Hollow from elimination.
I never understood the hate for Autumn from Ramsey or HK fans. She wasn’t a bad cook nor did she have a bad attitude.
the way autumn was treated by literally EVERYONE makes season 7 unwatchable for me personally. i felt so bad & angry for her omg 😭
I love the Colleen love in this video. Despite being a disaster in the kitchen, Colleen survived for a little bit solely on tenacity. She was not afraid to fight back with Gordon, she always argued for her life, and she never gave up.
Sure, she couldn't go anywhere near service, but the fact that Ramsey said he admired her tenacity and fight after her elimination proved how passionate she was.
I think in the episode where Ji volunteered herself to be out of competition because of her injury and when Colleen and Lacey were in bottom 2, Colleen would stay over Lacey because remember in that episode, they focused on Lacey a lot. Usually whoever got the main screen time on any reality show competition, it's always that person who gets eliminated later. Like all of the sudden the person who doesn't have much screen time suddenly has her / his own backstory becomes the next person who gets eliminated.
Colleen was rubbish but she tried and seemed like a nice person. Certainly didn't deserve the target she had on her from the start but Ramsey finding out that she was getting paid a lot of money to teach people how to cook like shit really made him mad.
Hi colleen
@@grrmonkey coreen
Simp.
The real reason Ben was the first eliminated in All-Stars was mainly because of his health and his diabetes causing him problems on the line
If you didn't bring it up, I certain would have.
Yeah, he would have been like Aaron Song or Robert in S5
He probably would have withdrawn the next episode if Ramsey hadn't of eliminated him. He nearly passed out on the line
Then why bring him back in the first place?
pretty sure his diabetes was a recent diagnosis so he couldve applied for the show before being diagnosed
This makes me think it's not entirely a bad thing that he's toned it down in the more recent seasons. It makes it seem more justified when he loses it
Doesn’t justify his past
@@Tuturial464yes it does. Can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen
@@Tuturial464his past about what?
Ramsay Vs Ben was a legendary arc, but I do believe Ramsay knew Ben had some skill, as he did bring Ben back for the Black jacket Vs veteran challenge in season 8. I do feel for the guy, and I hope he’s found success over the years.
What struck me about that season 8 thing was how good he looked. He had lost a lot of weight and looked pretty sharp. Then when came back again to compete, he had put a lot of weight on, as you could see.
In Season 17, he admits he has a diabetes and Chef Ramsay kicked him out immediately before it's too late.
@@desertrose58 Yes! In season 8 I was like wow, this guy looks hot. But then when he came back later it looked like he wasn't far off Robert's size when he was on HK.
Too bad he sucked. Just couldn't get back on track...
That was season nine.
Ok you have to admit "I teach manners, too, chef" is a pretty fire clapback 😂😂
“Ok miss manners, will you please fuck off back in line” was twice as much fire tho
Ah yes. Misogyny
@@Tuturial464how is that misogyny?
@@Tuturial464snowflake
@@Tuturial464People like you always cry about “misogyny” any time any man is aggressive or being mean towards a woman, even if it’s deserved. I thought women were tough and wanted to be treated equally, so why do you want men to treat them like babies that need to be coddled?
Ben was eliminated from season 17 because of his health. Ramsey realized he wasnt well and actually showed ben some mercy by sending him home.
He didn't want a liability like Aaron back in Season 3 or 4?
I NEVER understood S5 Ben and S7 Autumn and the amount of brutality they took from Ramsay. Rewatching those seasons yes they both made mistakes but others chefs have done far worse. These two got yelled at more than the likes of Lacey, S8 Sabrina, and S9 Elise. The only real explanation I can think of is that Ben and Autumn were I guess so well looked upon potential wise that they got punished more? Kinda like that one time Andy said "The ones that are the hardest on you are the ones that care about you the most." Which I "suppose" is true sometimes but not all the time.
I think s5 Ben was a complete clown, and I think Ramsay noticed that right away. Surprised he made it that far
@@Marmamartha because he had a lot of fight even when he screwed up he never surrendered or leaves
You know who deserved more hate than Autumn in Season 7?
It's Fran! She is a Karen and she is one of the main culprits alongside with Siobhan as the reason why the Red Team Season 7 is always losts. She survived more then she shouldn't. Even she threw Nilka under the bus for no reason when she got Best of The Worst.
Autumn should've considered herself lucky for being carried by the Blue Team a lot. But the Blue Team is also hating her.
Ben (S5) is my personal favourite Chef, I love him so much and I respect his attitude and ability to mostly endure all of Ramsey’s flame. He also spawned some of Ramsey’s best lines.
he also spawned "you couldn't cook my cock"
S5 Ben's our boy. Glad there's love for him hope he's doing well.
@@mrmoviemanic1 me too, hope he’s living his life as good as possible
@@mrmoviemanic1 Yeah for sure man. Pure cooking skill alone I’d argue he’s in the top 10 chefs of HK history tbh.
@@Lechgang that was Ben Caylor from Season 4. We’re talking about Ben Walanka from Seasons 5 and 17.
I also never understood the intense hatred for Autumn in S7. Watching through it I was like "Am I missing something here?" She really wasn't that bad; there have been chefs a million times worse than her. Gordon jabbering on to her that she has no passion made me feel uncomfortable because I have ASD and I don't constantly smile like a damn clown when I'm passionate about something. People express themselves differently, and I didn't think it was cool of him to assume the worst of her just because she acted and expressed herself differently from him.
Thankfully, Gordon has toned down this aspect in later seasons, and I think it's for the better. Just because he's a professional chef doesn't mean he's perfect and his style of running a brigade is not how everyone has to do it.
Stop simping...
@@johnaustin209 i see you everywhere trying to attack Autumn. What is your problem with her really? Maybe you’re the same as Ramsay. I love him as a person but he had no reason to treat her like that
@@akiraswhitepaint8537 Whatever you vhoose to assume, white knight cuck. IDGAF.
@@akiraswhitepaint8537this was 2010 and people liked seeing Gordon Ramsay scream all the time back then, after season 8 he started to tone it down because it wasnt that entertaining anymore, he was mostly over-exaggerating
Does that excuse chef temperment
I am afraid you may have misinterpreted Ben's elimination in season 17. He was eliminated because of his health condition although I do agree that he decided to eliminate Ben after service to spare Elise.
That was so heartbreaking to see. He's my favorite contestent for his passion and just general competence in the kitchen. Even with his disoriented state, he recovered from his initial salmon. But maybe it was a blessing since that season was a shitshow, full of drama and asspulls. I'm glad he got to enjoy a win in the first episode with the guys though.
I always felt so bad for Autumn, she didn't deserve the way she was treated. I honestly feel like the show writers decided from the start she wasn't going to win. I feel like she could've won if Gordon was always on her ass all the time. She got robbed of a chance in HK.
Ramsay's rant at Tom at 3:47 will always give me a chuckle 🤣
Especially when he was "slouching" it makes more funnier
@margarethmichelina5146 that's the funniest part 🤣
Seeing gordon slouch like that feels so weird
An Honorable Mention could be Patrick from S10 because Ramsay liked to make him seem way worse than he actually was.
To be fair Bens health in S17 would probably be why Ramsay decided to send him home
Yeah that was the main reason
I hope that’s why. Gordon rejecting Manda and Elise and sending home Ben instead was a huge twist and a weird decision if you ask me. If Gordon didn’t think Ben would go the distance, why bring him back in the first place?
@@Kenny_D6665 I think it was after the blue team reward when he found out about Ben’s health when Ben wasn’t feeling well
Autumn was such a nice lady with a soft voice and I never understood why he just went at her all season long. She had struggles but it seemed extreme same when it came with S5 Ben cocky sometimes ofc but hell of a chef but found himself on Gordon’s bad side ALL THE TIME like those two didn’t deserve it there’s no way. However, there’s others on this list that deserved it examples being Tom and Colleen

@@Tuturial464 OK ?
@@cosmosadorabilis7677you’re a Ramsay dickrider and a close-minded bitch. You’re all talk and wouldn’t back any of this nonsense up in person, you follower.
As a professional myself I get it that for TV ratings Chef Gordon has to humiliate the cooks in front of their peers but in the real world restaurant kitchen as a leader you never, repeat never use your authority to publicly humiliate your employees. If reprimand is necessary take them aside in private office and say what needs to be said there. If you publicly embarrass them you make an enemy for life! After doing that forget ever getting any quality from that employee. Sooner or later (more likely sooner) you will end up having to replace them. Abuse enough employees and risk loosing your business! If employees are not doing their job right then replace them. Have been in leadership roles before and learned from experience in-your-face abuse so I am not going there myself.
When you look at the scenes before HK, before kitchen nightmares, when the UK crews filmed Marco Pierre White and Ramsay, and the newspaper reviews at the time, they acted much as you see on TV here. Throwing plates and knives and ejecting customers and staff. It's all well documented that that was how they behaved.

I actually think Ben from all stars elimination was justified. He had diabetes and almost collapsed twice during service. Ramsey doesn’t want someone with health issues running his restaurant.
Unspoken rule of HK: If your name is Ben or Colleen, good luck surviving Ramsay's wrath.
Or Josh
"He doesn't want to get into a street fight with me!"
So says the guy limping off from a MINOR burn.
Honestly Ben went through the most out of any contestant but he took it like a champ I was hoping for him to make far in all stars ⭐️ 😭
Well he did say in the first episode that he was diagnosed with diabetes and even almost passed out during service. So I'm think that was the reason why Ramsay eliminated him first despite his team winning that service.
@@MrStarfan64 true most of them were out shape and old
Took it but didn't learn a thing from it. Champ my a**.
I kinda feel bad for Autumn and Ben S5 tho
Same here. Autumn had it coming at her from her team as well as Ramsay. Granted, in her first few episodes, I understand. She was overstepping chefs instead of staying in her lane. Benjamin and Jay clearly saw themselves a superior, especially towards women. We all saw the real Benjamin on the Red Team. IMO,he used this time to push women around because he couldn't do it at home. His wife was also in the culinary business. Autumn's background, I believe, played a huge factor. I think she gave up a full scholarship to medical school to pursue her cooking career. That in itself speaks volumes about her intelligence and independence. That intimidated those guys. Holli fit their profile of the women they liked, and Autumn didn't. Remember, we saw Benjamin target women for elimination. He did it to her, but it didn't work. She earned a Black Jacket anyway. It is very admirable considering those who cracked or failed under similar circumstances.
@@seanswinton6242 Yeah,Benjamin really had it in for Siohbon(Or however you spell it) from day one!Even after Chef Ramsay liked her sandwich over Fran's,he still talked to her like she was stupid.
Let's not forget how Jay and Holli are hooking up and then these two made it to top 2 of that season. It's so awkward to watch! Honestly, the only good relationship in Hell's Kitchen is Mary Lou and Cody on Season 19. Their chemistry is so cute and natural. But, too bad Cody let his feelings go to his head as he reluctantly tell Mary Lou that her fish or meat (I don't remember) is raw in final 4 when he lead the pass.
Yeah, speaking of cringe relationship, let's not forget Heather and Andrew from Season 16 where Andrew cheated on his fianceè with Heather and Josie and Emily from Season 20 a.k.a the Vegan couple. And Josie got distracted the most by Emily and forgot she's in competition. Also, looks like their relatioship isn't working because in Trenton's wedding in Season 21, Emily and Victoria were there while Josie wasn't.
@@margarethmichelina5146 I always thought Holli was pretty much crap - and only managed to get as far as she did because the rest of the red team sucked and she didn't draw attention to herself. But there was ZERO reason for her to win over Jay.
@@MdnightWnd Holli most of the time just there for being eye candy since she has bright big eyes and she's too quiet, she couldn't even say the second nominee twice!
I also kinda forgot about LaTasha, winner of Season 13 as she mostly forgetable as the season is way focus on Sterling, Sade, Jennifer, Roe, Bryant, Aaron. But the difference is LaTasha is mostly a silent killer as she nailed on most of challenges while Holli is also kinda sucks at challenges.
9:48 is just...it's peak. Ben just walks thru that door and makes it so easy to deliver one of the worst takedowns in the history of HK.
Well in 2019 he assaulted a woman so don’t feel bad for him
I'm so glad to see all the comments supporting Ben from season 5. He was always one of my favorites. Yeah, he had his moments of being a little scattered, but he was a good chef and took every bit of that chewing from Ramsay without saying a word. And I really loved how he came back and fought for Danny in the end. A real stand-up guy. I hope his health is better now.
this is where chef Ramsay was more brutal than he should've been. I've always felt rubbed the wrong way of how he treated both Bens. Especially Season 5 Ben like omg just another level
actually this goes for nearly everyone on this list
Season 4 Ben deserved every bit of tongue lashing he got. Season 5 deffo got way too much brutality from Ramsay.
@@youtube-kit9450at 9 and after have toned diwn considerably.
Here's the thing about Colleen, she never said she taught professional chefs. The way I understood it she was instructing home chefs. Like those cooking classes anyone can sign up for that are more for entertainment than learning. You spend a few hours with an instructor learning how to make a few dishes, maybe a 3 course meal. I'm pretty sure she said flat out that she didn't have culinary training, but pretty much anyone can set up one of those classes if they're halfway decent at cooking. I feel like the abuse she caught from Ramsay was based on the assumption that she was attempting to train pro chefs and that's what made it all the more unfair and difficult to watch.
Recreational! That's the word I was looking for. It was a recreational cooking school.
I feel bad for Season 1’s Chris. He had the misfortune of being successful in his career during a season where there was not a lot of talent (so he stood out and as you mentioned, was a target for Chef Ramsey) and was even screwed over by some of the rules and format of the earlier seasons (Chef Ramsey not overruling any nominations and just going by who was chosen even if they didn’t deserve to be nominated). He was really eliminated for no reason other than he just happened to be nominated. He honestly should have been in the Top 3 and possibly finals. The fact that people like Andrew and Jimmy made it farther than him is an insult.
Will never get why Andrew lasted as long as he did. He was awful.
Yeah. He also was unfortunate in that he didn't know how Ramsay would be in HK since it was S1, and it'd make perfect sense for an executive chef to defend a dish he'd think was well-made. Ofc didn't help that Ramsay took his super calm demeanor as arrogance and just went ham.
Raj also got it even worse from his fellow competitors . Understandable because Raj was insane but one of them told him to go home and die pretty much
Idk if you’ve already done this but how about the contestants who Chef Ramsey took a liking to the most.
Examples include Sterling for obvious reasons but also Salvatore when Chef Ramsey found out he didn’t go to school and spent his entire childhood working and helping his family
Also,Elsie from season 1.
And of course #1 would be Virginia since he saved her ass many times in elimination
@@margarethmichelina5146 “I think you got a hard-on for Virginia” from Keith is still legendary.
Tbh I feel that Ramsey was waiting for Autumn to fully switch up mentality. Her mentality was very relaxed, which frankly is unique when it comes to the kitchen, especially in the environment of HK
Does that excuse his public shaming
Ramsay: That's the door right there big boy
Completely summarizes Raj's run during the season
Gordon seemed to hate Ben from Season 4 on a personal level.
I think judging from his arrest, there might some off camera behavior that Ramsay got to witness and we didn't
While Ben in S5 was the punching bag for every episode, I personally thing Giovanni took the worst tongue lash from Ramsay that season at the final 6 service. Having a father that would get in my face and scream at me like he did to Gio that night triggered a flashback for me that night.
That was one time I feel like Ramsay stepped over the line. Giovanni didn't deserve that.
@@ninedaysjane2466 Agreed! When you see someone flinch the way Giovanni did when Ramsay was shouting at him, that’s too much.
Can we just appreciate the editing FlynnMasters put in for the beginning of the Raj chapter? For a moment, I thought it was going to be focused on Russell until he said, “One of the worst chefs to ever enter Hell’s Kitchen.” Fantastic video from start to finish, dude!
Gordon definately hated ben in season 5 but i feel like back then he could get away with throwing insults at peoples weight alot easier than now
Also I don't see the point of the whole nomination process if ramsay is just going to choose someone on the winning team to send home.
Believe me, if you've heard about who trained Ramsay, you'd KNOW where he gets his aggressive kitchen personality from.
Season 2 - Season 8 was Ramsays angry era.
But in seasons 4, 5 and 8 it seemed like he was in a bad mood the entire season!
With season 8 can you blame him?
And then started season 11, you can hear his voice starts to crack and even worse in Season 14, his voiced sounds raspy due to age factor. That's why Season 3 to 10 is the peakest Gordon Ramsay as he gets angry to everyone. I miss the time when he used to kick out someone individually when they messed up, right now he prefers to kick out the entire team even though it's mostly one person who makes a mistake.
Karma
Ben from S5 honestly got screwed by GR. He definitely could be a bit full of his ability at times but he equally was a pretty damn good chef that didn’t deserve quite a lot of the verbal beatdowns that he got. Also the fact that Andrea got 3rd place over him when she shouldn’t have even made the Black Jackets still blows my mind.
Ben wasn’t going to win Gordon definitely got the final 2 right but Giovanni and Ben were definitely stronger than Andrea there’s no doubt
@@JohnSmith-wh2ob I can agree with that as Danny after a rough start only got better and better and Paula whilst a bit timid was solid through the entire competition, Ben imo probably had the highest knowledge and abilities but his tendency to overthink things and crack under pressure was what kept him outside of the final 2. How Andrea made the black jackets was beyond me tbh, I even think her rival Carol was better than her in most of the services.

Warning to all Ben’s out there: If you ever consider competing on Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay is probably gonna rip you into shreds
i don't know if i'm just a sympathetic person because of working in the healthcare field for so long, but i think mattie deserved a spot up here in some way, shape, or form.
i can't say if his migraine excuse was true or not, but if you remember from one of the later seasons, Zac faints, vomits, and then continues service. matt had to go through service with a migraine. my family has the genetic migraines that cause vomiting, slight facial paralysis, and incessant mood swings, and let me tell you something: even a slight migraine can be almost debilitating for some. for matt to just pop an aspirin and get back into working in that terrible kitchen takes some heavy balls, because if that were me, that would cripple me.
ben from season 5? that was just cruel, and i usually side with gordon on a lot of decisions he makes. bringing ben back just to eliminate him again to keep elise, thus keeping high ratings actually infuriated me. like, he comes back even though he knows he's possibly going to get the same treatment as before, and yet this is how you repay him? eliminate him from the winning team all because you want your cooking show to turn into a drama series? i mean, that's just wrong on so many levels. it's sickening, but that's just my opinion.
I have type 1 diabetes, and knowing the difficulties of managing it when you're newly diagnosed, I thought the way he booted Ben in season 17 was very harsh. He could've at the very least said something along the lines of "you need to get your health in check, it's not good for you to be here when you're not 100%". Anything along that kind of line. To just boot him, say he couldn't go the distance, and then basically call him a liability in his closing remarks, I thought that was unfair. Yeah, he was never going to win, but don't be a dick to a guy clearly struggling with a medical condition that's still new to him.
I think Chris put a target on his own back the moment he served raw fish on a plank right after telling Ramsay he’s an executive chef
I assume this video has a potential Part 2 in the future, as all of these chefs came from the earliest seasons, so for some honorable mentions:
Jeff (S1)
Bonnie (S3)
Matt (S4)
Trev (S8)
Elise (S9)
Carrie (S9)
Jeremy (S11)
Zach (S11)
Paulie (S16)
Trev wasn't really yelled at by Ramsay. If anything, he was put down more by the other contestants.
@@Hitheremate1 GR did give him a his fair share of wrath on multiple occasions. Like not being able to make salads in E1, and how he drowned on garnish during his final service with the red team, and how terrible he (and Sabrina) did on appetizers during the first Black Jacket service, and how much GR screamed at him during the second F4 service when he was screwing up Jillian's run at the pass.
You are right in that he got more scorn from his teammates, and I won't say the incidents above were proportional to the people mentioned in this video, but that's why I suggest him as an honorable mention only.
@@ultranaticproductions3103 Fair. Trev had alot of bad moments but it's light when compared to the chefs in the list. Heck, I'd argue that Ramsay was harder on Rob instead of Trev because Ramsay basically said that he wanted Rob gone in ep9.
I would say Trev was broken by everyone else, not Gordon. In fact Gordon seemed to be the only person that actually liked him. Both Red and Blue hated him, and so did Scott.
Elise should've been put over his knee and spanked 10 time during her two seasons. Worst teamplayer in history, never did anything during punishments and basically annoying in every single way. She got away easy
i honestly feel awful for ben. i love ramsay but the way he treated ben was inexcusable. there was absolutely no reason for him to be eliminated from the winning team, and i think that’s obvious from the way others reacted. ramsay can just be an unnecessary bully at times.
It was due to his bad health. Had he stayed he most likely would have had to withdraw after one or two services.
The early seasons were real hard on the Chef's personal issues.
The newer seasons are more about uplifting the chefs. But Ramsey would go HAM on people like Autumn but wouldnt say anything to Anton or Frank? Like hmmmm
Theyre lucky Ramsey has evolved with the times and didnt get him when TV was more lax.
I'm watching S7 right now, I don't understand why Autumn gets crucified so much from both Ramsay and the other competitors :(
Because blatant toxicity of sexism, and the toxic environment of hells kitchen
He did Ben and Autumn so dirty. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were still in therapy from it 😂
I cannot believe how many times he insulted people by calling out their weight! Calling them: fat, thick, etc… usually with another insult tacked on. It’s baffling that he was allowed to publicly humiliate people for such an extended period.
However, I am happy to see him taking a different approach by being respectful to everyone.
He really had it in for men who are short & men who are fat. I remember him quite a few times mocking the small size of the guy who had a kidney disease & he was only there like 2 days
And ramsey has a temperament and bad behavior
I love Gordon, but the way he treated Autumn and Ben (Season 5) was unfair when they were both really nice people and tried their hardest and you hve people like Elsie and Sabrina get a slap on the wrist and Elsie even KEPT HER FUCKING JACKET!
love for Autumn tbh she was one of my favourites in season 7
goddamn, that perfect editing for the pan to Raj as you hit the grand final of this video, that was gold 🤣 caught me off guard lmao
ben escaped elimination by carol being eliminated from the winning team. then, ben gets eliminated from the winning team. its pretty poetic.
Long term storytelling
What makes me laugh is when Gordan Ramsey was fuming when his daughter Tilly was body shamed. He has no problem body shaming some of the contestants when he calls them "fat pigs" etc
I feel like it’s not the same tho you know? Like Gordon is hard on all chefs and used harsh language about everyone who messes up in that environment. It’s different to do it outside of that setting.
And I think the insult is more about the pig and less the fat part
For one I think if a chef had personally said it bothered them, then he wouldn’t do that,
Also fat shaming women hits a bit different due to things like beauty standards, with women showing higher risks for things like eating disorders (which can kill you)
Ben's soul getting crushed when told that Ramsey is surprised by how shit he is has to be one of the greatest moments in Hell's Kitchen history. Couldn't happen to a more deserving target either.
Season 4?
@@EpicAndrew97 Yeah, season 4.
Next video; Hell’s Kitchen contestants most coddled by Chef Ramsay
#1 easily Virginia from Season2
“I think you got a hard-on for Virginia” is still one of my favorite clapbacks in this show.
That’s not what happened with Ben in All Stars. He’s diabetic and almost passed out at service and I wanna say he had to see the medic or go to a hospital to get checked out. Chef Ramsay said he didn’t think he had the endurance to finish the competition. At least give the whole story and not some throwed off conspiracy.
But if his health was so bad, why even bring him back? It's not like it was a collapse from stress or dehydration like with Jason in S9. He knew his diabetes was a problem, and yet production still brings him back just to kick early. It feels like he was just brought back to make some fat jokes against and then kick him out, poor guy
@@flashfoxful I’m not one for speculation or attributing motive (seeing as I can’t look in anyone’s heart, cuz I’m not God), but he mentioned he was “newly” diabetic, and maybe when they asked him back he hadn’t received his diagnosis. Occam’s Razor.
I cannot believe that Tom was so delusional to think he could drop Chef Ramsay, a taekwondo black belt, in a fight. Gordon would whoop Tom's ass 3 times over.
While I do think everything you say about Ben in S17 is right and I fully feel Ramsay destroyed him the most of almost any chef unjustly, I think the factor was also Ben's health was as he was at one point almost fainting on camera and reporting he wasn't feeling well at all.
At least he got an all-expense free pay to a therapy resort for that one. And got to ride down a slide.
Ben didn’t deserve the hate s5 dude was a soldier
Some other Honorable Mentions include: Virginia (S2), Josh (S3), Royce (S10), Scott (S12)
I feel like he bullied Ben because he thought he looked ugly lol
Another thing with Chris, Gordon Ramsey went off on him when he said oui, but when Michael said it he didn’t say anything to him. I got pissed off at that lol
I wish they could have a reality show were Chef Ramsey is a teacher at an inner-city school in the projects.
9:59 Craig's face always get me every time
Ben’s elimination in season 17 was more health related than anything.
Colleen might've had Ramsay riding her ass through her entire time in the show... but he actually did have a surprising amount of respect for her when she left, remarking on her determination or tenacity in the face of adversity.
Soulless?! Wow! Jesus Christ! That is way too fucking harsh. Because she didn't cry over a mistake.
*GR:* Are you the most experienced chef in here?
*Raj:* Yes.
*GR:* You've been cooking longer than me!
*Raj:* Yes.
*(BEEEEEEEEEEP!)*
😂😂😂😂😂
Love the older season clips, if just to see the reactions of the customers who still weren't used to Ramsay.
"I stuck my head in the fridge to cool off"
Wow. Raj was a character
Please rank all the midservice ejection eliminations!
Mid service elimination video will be coming this week or next!
Honorable Mentions: Rachel, Maribel, Giacomo (season 2)
Josh, Vinnie, Bonnie, Melissa (season 3)
Rossan, Matt (season 4)
Andy, Sabrina (season 6)
Boris, Trev, Vinnie (season 8)
Patrick, Brian (season 10)
What’s with the sexist comment of “he has to treat the women differently than he treats the men” 😂when has he ever treated them differently
Theres no racism, or sexism
He just treats everyone equally
@@fskele1 you clealey haven't seen the older seasons. Remarks on women's chests, calling them pigs.
His 2010 inappropriate touching
Binged the hell out of these keep them coming pls
7:20 , LA’s face when she forgot after repeating the order back like 6 times still to this day cracks me up 😂
How to unlock hard mode in Hell's Kitchen:
Tell Ramsay you are an executive chef.
I would add Boris, Rob, Melissa and even nona in season 8 got a chewing from ramsay, maybe nona the least but since boris imitated ramsay on the first service (spot on impression BTW) and ditching his team to wash dishes in episode 4 he was sometimes a scapegoat for ramsay and then Rob was also the same. I think Ramsay generally had it out for the blue team that season because they sucked after they got all happy over raj getting eliminated and couldn't get it together.
I would also add most of the season 10 red team and the blue team but for individuals not as much, of course there were a few like Royce which made ramsay call Ralph from season 1 to motivate him (it somehow worked) and clemenza, Brian and robyn also got a fair chewing throughout. The red team had barbie, Tiffany, Danielle and roshni all getting a grilling and even Christina got a chewed a bit - but then again what do you expect from the season with alot of kickouts
Scott from season 12 was also worth a shout, ramsay was on his ass
There's also the unfair eliminations
Sugar in risotto being the worst in one's life is definitely not out of proportion
Yay, FlynnMasters. Im so glad you uploaded today. I was really having a bad day. And i agree about the Ben thing. Season 4 Ben really made a bad impression on Ramsay, so he was on each Ben afterwards.
Ben (s5) was used as a punching bag so hard and he never talked back
Ben from season 5 is my personal favorite out of every competitir in HH(yes, including Winners) because he took so much verbal abuse(I would even Call it mental abuse from Ramsey, & yet he never gave up. Never.
He tried & tried & tried. Even in all-stars, when his health was in decline, he never gave up. What a fighter. I really hope he did not suffer mental issues after all that, because Gordon really went to far with him.
Not saying others were not great(like Christina or Petroza etc) but Ben just stands out to me, because of all that & he never gave up.
Rules for success in Hell’s Kitchen:
1. Learn how to cook risotto and scallops
2. Don’t talk back to Chef Ramsey
3. and MOST importantly, don’t be named Ben
I wonder if GR looks back at some of these and goes maybe I went abit to hard on these fellas lol
Ben from S5 and Autumn
Autumn was hard as nails, that's why Ramsay respected her at the end. I never considered her broken on that basis.
But he said "you're soulless" - well duh, that's why none of the shit you said to her worked.
I think Gordon gave so much shit to Autumn because he saw her potential but hated her blasé attitude. Other one's mostly they sucked.
well not everyone has to shit out rainbows
I don't think she had a blasé attitude. That was just her natural disposition.
I want Raj to come back at some point. He is comedy gold. He is so dumb yet so hilarious xD
I want Hell's Kitchen All Losers with Raj, Lacey, Matt, Tavon, and the blogger that used digital thermometer
@@aslamnurfikri7640 yes. I think the thermometer guy was Matthew from Season 20. I just started to re-watch it and I think last night was the episode where that happened LOL
He's so stupid and annoying
Raj died I heard
@@Thewholebeing23 as far as I know I don't see anything about that unless it's extremely recent
To be fair sugar in a risotto would make anyone spit it out.
Also you forgot about Colleens wellington debacle.
And with Ben. Considering his criminal record, Ramsay was justified in the long run.
Gordon really said “fuck Bens”
I felt bad about Ben being eliminated so early, but I think Ramsey's reasoning was his health in season 17 he didn't think he'd be able to keep up, even if Elise should have gone home that night
Realistically, Elise wasn't going home even without Ben. Manda probably would have been eliminated. Elise brings drama and ratings
