2024 Mother's Day video expressing respect and love towards all the mothers associated with ASWB.

Autism Society West Bengal (ASWB) is a parent-initiated NGO working for the education, skill development and empowerment of individuals with autism over 20 years. ASWB is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. From 2023 ASWB also runs free Parent and Child Empowerment (PACE) programs where the parent especially the mothers are guided on how to work with their autistic child in various areas. For example, activities of daily living (ADL) which are activities related to personal care viz. eating, bathing, using the toilet sleeping etc. Other areas include social skills training like participating in group activities, turn taking, waiting for one’s turn etc. Parents are guided to introduce play activities which they may participate with their child and also independent play activities are introduced for the child. On this occasion of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in various parts of the world, the students of Dikshan, the school units and trainees of the Aarohan, the pre-vocational unit of ASWB are expressing respect, honour, and love towards all the mothers and mother figures associated with ASWB.
