Pakistan borders four countries India, China, Afghanistan and Iran so there is a lot of cultural variety within the country and many languages and dialects spoken as well. English is also one of the main languages spoken in Pakistan along with Punjabi and Urdu. This is coming from a Pakistani Canadian, I love this country and its people for their love and welcoming nature. Canada is without any doubt is the best country in this whole world period. And I believe this is one of the reasons you're liking Pakistani music and culture because we are alike in this way. Both countries are extremely welcoming and lovely.
In fact, in the same northern parts, there is a lake called " Saif ul malook" look up for that one, it is a ditto copy of lake Louise in Banff. When I visited Banff the first time I was so happy to see the mountains because it reminded me of back home.
You are always welcome to visit Pakistan, I am sure you will not regret your decision, so much to see here, you will be amazed by the diversity of this country whether its culture, people, languages, landscapes or food. And ofcourse we have one of the most beatiful landscape in the world aswell.

Western media will protray everyone a villain but themselves. We have been portrayed for so many years to be problematic when we are really just simple people. Are there bad people amongst us and do things wrongly in the name.of religon or otherwise? obviously but just like any other culture/religon or race that does not define us.

Canada is massive, but its population is a fraction of Pakistan's. Also, Pakistan is home to the Indus Valley Civilization, one of the three oldest civilizations in the world. It has also been historically a meeting place of people from various civilizations, Arabs, Persians, Afghans, the ancient Greeks, to name a few. So the linguistic and cultural diversity is a result of indigenous as well as visiting cultures put together.

Excellent review but a humble request. Do your research before reviewing on Pakistan Coke Studio. Pakistan Coke Studio got nothing to do with Bangla or Hindi language. Their tracks are usually in Urdu (national language) Punjabi, or other regional languages.
