You should do a tutorial, targeted to other UA-camrs, on how to make a good tutorial in general. Clear, concise, fast forwarded in boring repetitive areas but still showing what you did there (as opposed to skipping over), stopping to specify important details, good lighting, no loud annoying music. Just well done all around.
rmcdaniel423 absolutely. It didn’t feel like a 9 minute video at all. I’m usually frustrated 3 minutes in. I’m not sure what I like better, the headboard or the video 😂😂
There are so many bodged jobs of this on UA-cam, and I think if you are going to go to the trouble of doing something, it's worth doing it well. This is a proper tutorial. Well done and thank you.
This Mann is either on the limitless pill or a master tufted headboard builder. Focused, precise, and cool throughout the process. Great job and thanks for the video!
The dogs and I really liked it. I have to agree with those below who say you should teach how to do tutorials as you don't simply talk through it, but you show it more indepth, which is what visual learners on UA-cam are seeking. While I am not making a headboard, I am repairing a button on one and knowing how it was done to begin with shows me exactly what is necessary to do it right. Well done!
Need more quality DIY stuff like this - I always find other DIY videos are lacking the detail, in both how to make something, and a really detailed quality DIY item
I am the Kelowna mobile hairdresser ; New Images By Dori; I appreciate your knowledge on how you demonstrated the Video on " how to make a tuffed headboard ". You make this task easy to take on. Thank you. Dori.
I know I am 3 years 2 late but thanks...!! I'm a photographer form South Africa and I am opening up my studio. Going to make my backdrops with this.. thanks again .. it's music appreciated...
You looked so serious at first, but it's nice not having the "Hiiiiii everyoneee" youtuber for once. And this project was amazing. The result is so beautiful and you really seem to know what you are doing. I loved it!
May have to talk my husband into doing this for me. We just bought an adjustable bed and this will be perfect for the wall. Thanks so much for the video the headboard is very pretty!
Best tufted headboard tutorial and now i know for damn sure ill be spending a couple hundred on one. I have to get inspired to finish the last part. The tufting is tedious and ill need to get buzzed on my favorite drink and have some good company with great music on to pull this off with my ADD.
Thank you for this video - really helped us to build our own headboard. The french cleat really makes sense for fixing the headboard on the wall! Regards from Austria
Great video... informative, to-the-point. Specifics about products used, sizing, and tips. NO music (thank you!!). Would have liked a short 1-2-3 about the actual tufting part (I can slow down the video & make assumptions about using the marks on the reverse side of the fabric, etc, but I would have liked you to verbally step through that part). That is one nice headboard! Even if you buy one vs make it, you'll have a better appreciation for the work that goes into it (and, maybe, what to look for). Thanks for posting.
Bravo (applause)!!! Thank u for your professionalism. After watching a few tacky videos, I am greatful for running across yours. I want to thank you for your time, patience, artistic talents and educational breakdown. Great work.
Amazing job! Labor of love for sure. When I saw your first link, I thought to myself that it looks exactly like a Christopher Knight headboard. Awesome job! Great tutorial skills.
Nicely done. Admittedly I was skeptical at first. I love your improvisations for tools and techniques. Your headboard looks like it came out great. Thanks for sharing.
Keep practicing and you might get there. As a person who has been doing upholstery for over 10 yrs now, and has worked in a high end upholstery shop and now owns his own I would be lying if I said I would let that leave my shop. I think it was a good effort but a few things wrong. -1. Almost 99% of upholsterers ( even myself ) do not use a staple gun unless it has a 3/8" crown. I have never heard of anyone using a staple gun that has a 1/2" crown in the upholstery business. - 2. When you bond foam together DO NOT use cheap glue, even if it will never see lots of stress or wear and tear. (this is a sign of shotty craftsmanship.) -3. Every upholstery shop that I worked at ( 3 ) used the 3m super 77 spray glue for the Dacron wraps and that is currently what I use at my shop, This I applaud you for. I am very glad to see that you are using this to secure the Dacron (good job on this one, see its not all bad ) -4. I love that you used High Grade Plywood ( you didn't cheap out on this, which I again applaud you for ). nothing makes me more mad when I see people on UA-cam showing people how to do things and they use super cheap $5 1/8 chip board. GOOD JOB ON THIS ONE _5. NEVER, and I repeat NEVER use sharpie, markers, or pens when you are tracing or laying out a pattern on material (whether its cloth or vinyl) This is the worst habit you could get into. Just go buy a box of Prang Hygieia white chalk at a upholstery supply place ( where talking $1.70 ? ) 6. You did decent with pulling and trying to get everything smooth but you have to work on massaging the material and getting everything pulled uniformly ( your edges where tight, then tighter, then back to tight. with this practice is everything, but at least you are doing it. Anyway enough of my rant , just thought I would give a little constructive criticism, but if I had to rate this out off 100 I would give you at 73 . Very good effort, and is probably good enough to give to a customer, but someone with a keen eye, or someone trying to have a high end shop would not let this leave. Keep practicing and Sew On .
I am happy I came across your video. I have been contemplating making two headboards. Your attention to detail is impressive. The color and fabric you chose is very nice. Great job!
I am super stoked to have found your channel. Your dedication is most admirable. You don't seem to do anything half-hearted. You provide viewers with a clear walkthrough and presentation Kudos-May God bless you and your family!
Hi, I think you did a beautiful job. I have watched quite a few and you by far made the best quality headboard! You took the time to create the tufted look making sure each buttons cloth all folded the same way, and you took the time to plan it out and even tie the buttons down. Everyone else glued their buttons and as I watched them glue them all I thought about was how their buttons are going to eventually end up popping off, and saying to myself....if your going to do it....do it right and take the extra time....you did and it shows. And, you even mounted it on the wall correctly also. You did quality work, oh and I love the color and material too.....Just Awesome...Kudos to you!
Currently designing my own headboard for our huge bed 2.4m wide and love the look of this thank you for the video even tho it's old one so informative x
You should do a tutorial, targeted to other UA-camrs, on how to make a good tutorial in general. +rmcdaniel423 Agreed. Wonderful how-to video. Wish others would be as professional, clear and concise with NO annoying loud music!
So shit, no one has ever even hinted at measuring the distance between the holes depths. Thank you. :-)
I was gonna comment something similar. This is an example of a great tutorial!
rmcdaniel423 absolutely. It didn’t feel like a 9 minute video at all. I’m usually frustrated 3 minutes in. I’m not sure what I like better, the headboard or the video 😂😂
Totally agree. a very nice tutorial. If other UA-camrs can learn from this
There are so many bodged jobs of this on UA-cam, and I think if you are going to go to the trouble of doing something, it's worth doing it well. This is a proper tutorial. Well done and thank you.
The video helped me decide that I'm never making a tufted headboard. Great work.
This Mann is either on the limitless pill or a master tufted headboard builder. Focused, precise, and cool throughout the process. Great job and thanks for the video!
After watching this video, I have to appreciate everyone works with tufted furniture. Thank you so much. You are an artist.
That’s a lot of hard work. I’ll definitely be buying one now that I know how time consuming and painful it would be, but great job.
The dogs and I really liked it. Great tutorial! Clear and concise, no annoying showboating or music. You said what you were doing and why and what tools.
the finish is absolutely outstanding. hands down the best DIY tufting finish I have ever seen.
You are so precise? By far the BEST tufted headboard tutorial on YT! Great job!
Need more quality DIY stuff like this - I always find other DIY videos are lacking the detail, in both how to make something, and a really detailed quality DIY item

Super , to the point no time wasting , I hope Other UA-camrs learn. Excellent job.
Wow! That's great knowledge you shared! Now the world of English sofas is opening up for me!
I know I am 3 years 2 late but thanks...!! I'm a photographer form South Africa and I am opening up my studio. Going to make my backdrops with this.. thanks again
.. it's music appreciated...
One of the nicest home made tufted headboards I've seen.
You’ve got some serious skills.
Watched tons and tons of these but only this one made sense. Simple and detailed.
Best tufted headboard tutorial and now i know for damn sure ill be spending a couple hundred on one. I have to get inspired to finish the last part. The tufting is tedious and ill need to get buzzed on my favorite drink and have some good company with great music on to pull this off with my ADD.
This is awesome. I'm pretty sure this is way more manual labour than I'm willing to put in to this project, but now i know. Which is also great.
This is the best tufted headboard tutorial on youtube; ironically though I now just want to find someone as talented as you to make on for me.
You are a great teacher. Your explanation is simple and effective and brain can take in what you are saying very calm . Thank you.
Small tip: for the graphing lines. A chalk box (string) is great and easy.
Out of All the headboards I’ve seen this one is the best looking one great job bruh!
This the only video on this type of stuff I've watched..and I can already tell this is the best..no need to watch anything else...super job
Amazing I’m doing my diy headboard in the morning I will follow ur video to the T. I looked at at least 15 videos I like it’s the most!
Thank you for this video - really helped us to build our own headboard. The french cleat really makes sense for fixing the headboard on the wall! Regards from Austria

I was considering doing this. But I do not have the patience or expertise like you. The end product is fantastic.
I am not expert and don't have tools like him but was able to do it myself. I used a peg board
Here's mine ua-cam.com/video/Z6QBTf_oytI/v-deo.html
