"It copied Star Wars" wow, that's guaranteed to to immediately piss off any Dune fan.
Yeah I got upset when they didn't correct him that it's the opposite hahahaha.
It did copy Star Wars tho
Took it too far with that I got heated too
@@Dogtles LMAO ok buddy. Why don't we learn how to Google quick and then try and look up which came out first.
@@goblinsarereal4954dumbass it literally says starwars
I like how she didn’t spit on him because it would be too respectful to give him her water.
Underrated comment 😂
Do not waste your water, even for the dead
Best comment ever
I wonder how many times you guys actually break in the "It's one of the most seamless marriages of live-action photography and visual computer-generated effects that I've ever seen. It's very very compelling at every turn - Christoper Nolan, he directed Inception." part near the end and having to do it all over again 💀
We did a lot of takes lol
@@thats_a_bad_ideawe need a bloopers vid!❤
Imagine him not liking Dune part two.
The outrage
Ohh he will find out what jahada means!
Imagine having that many friends
apparently he doesn't
My stepfather actually liked Dune and didn't like Dune 2. Idk how tf that happens...
"We sat and watched it together..."
I love how that line is delivered. The betrayal, the hurt.
As someone who talks about Dune too much I thought this was going to go a different direction.
who asked? that movie is 4/10 at most...
@@scoper7897I just need to talk.
Same here. And it's gotten _so_ much worse since part two.
You can see gifts in the table for him. This started as a surprise party for cooper until he made his review on dune while at work 😂😂 i love the story telling.
"Another cinematic masterpiece, very compelling at every turn" - me

I clicked on this, thinking that the roles would be reversed.
One of the best comedy groups in decades. Please never stop.
Dune strikes a nerve so deep that it hurts beyond reason! Brilliant sketch!
00:47 Dude, that guy looks like a perfect mix of Timothée Chalamet and Oscar Isaac tf-
Imagine having that many friends
Good riddance.
The real twist for me was that I thought it was gonna be about him being TOO into Dune
I lost it when he recited the Quote from Christopher Nolan like a normal sentence XD
Awesome that "On The Nature Of Daylight" by Max Richter was played at the end there. Never heard literally any other channel have his music on a video.
This is the song also on The Arrival, correct?
@@jposse187yep
@@jposse187 damn, that's right. Another reason to like Dennis Villeneuve.

These are a multi talented bunch of people, I had to subscribe after The Chair and this! I cannot wait to explore the rest of your videos!
same here - I saw the chair and though, maybe watch something else from this channel, I saw this and subscribed ;)
Same!!! 😍🍿🙏🏼👏👏👏
This skit was sponsored by HBO Max
I'll literally disown anyone in my who didn't enjoy Dune 2.
EDIT: What's with all the bitter miserable people in the comments? People enjoyed the movie because it was good. Most of us didn't read the books and we don't care how good they are. Some of us don't have endless hours to read books about fictional literature when we can get an epic audio-visual experience by the best to ever do it in 3 hours. Go back to reading some book that will become a movie that you will hate, no matter how good it is when I come out. We will enjoy it's quality or ignore it if it's waste of our time
Dune sucks hard

“Why are you crying?” Took me out 😭😭😭
If anyone else thinks the music at the end is familiar, I'm pretty sure it's from Arrival.
It is. because of this skit. I just rewatched Arrival. I think that is one of Denis Villeneuve's best fillms.
"On The Nature Of Daylight" is a piece that Max Richter uses in a few of the films that he scores, including Arrival
@@forresthopkinsaJohan Johansson scored Arrival
@@SamVerMerris Oh you are totally right. I forgot there was that whole thing about Arrival getting disqualified for the Best Original Soundtrack award because Johannsson borrowed music from Richter.
"I'm gonna kick you right in your Sand Worm." is easily one of the best lines I've heard in the 2020's.
That one guy looks like Paul Atreides!
Nah he looks like his dad
He looks like Michael Imperioli
He looks more like a blend of Paul and Leto
I’ve been a total fanatic for Dune lately I don’t care what you believe I believe!
Using arrivals soundtrack at the end was on point.
Every second of this was flawless.
LMAO a video on youtube never spoke to me like this one. That movies was a TRIAL to get through.
To make this clear, Star wars movie (1978) was inspired by Dune (books, 1965) but Dune movie came after (1984).
I’m surprised you’re alive and well after referring to the 1984 adaptation as the Dune movie 😂 I’m glad you’re still with us.
Why did i think this was an AD for HBO Max lol 2:52
The ending telling to subscribe or not - was hilarious.
Christopher Nolan
3:50 and her smirk after were unnecessarily funny, I was wheeezing through my nose
The quality of your videos is just too good. Like just look at the lighting fking hell it's so good
“You can’t do this to me.” Is the funniest line lol
People used to bully you for the things you liked; now they bully you for the things you don’t like.
“Let people NOT enjoy things” reverse meme
they all act amazing! this video is a cinematic masterpiece!
Seriously tho, Coop is just a guy who expressed his opinion on Twitter. His "friends" are the comment section.
In fairness, all these people are pretty superficial. Coop at least has his own opinion, although his complaints are the same as everyone else who didn’t like the movie. Also…he seems to think refusing birthday gifts is part of adulthood or maturity. Gifts are intended to be a meaningful gesture. He’s totally missed the point.
…Kind of like he missed all of the intended meaning in Dune. 😂 Not that his friends know what they’re on about either. They just don’t like his opinion. Dune is impeccably well crafted…so is a $600 bong. Doesn’t matter how much inherent meaning or value you believe it has, if it’s not for him then it’s not for him.
These guys are so good!
No, this video is the cinematic masterpiece 😅😂
I’m convinced that the world pretending to like Dune is a prank on me.
This is the best video you guys have made. That’s not not say anything you’ve made is bad either. Like, this is just on another level.
This is beautiful😂😢😅😮
You guys are destined for greatness!
I think we all know ppl like that..can't respect an honest opinion..😂😂😂😂
4:40 why was their breakup so emotional though wow
“…She will come to understand.”
The guy talking about kicking is funny asf
That part at night, with all those explosions. That was cool. That was my Dune highlight.
Reasonable reaction tbh
I have a drinking problem but nobody cares so no intervention for me! 😂
bad dog. no
lmao the fact that they’re actually good actors in this short funny skit
very accurate skit even after Dune2
Okay but for real I was laughing until he called it a Star Wars ripoff, then I was ready to throw hands.
Okay i have to watch Dune now. I never seen it but you guys make it seem WONDERFUL 😂
The way he said "its my birthday", make me so sad...
They really whipped out "this bitter earth" for the soundtrack. Amazing choice, really represents the level of tragedy
The tear at 1:40 👌
just using this opportunity to say how unreal it is that yall produce some of my favorite comedy sketches these days and some of my favorite horror shorts. i don’t know any creator who gives me both. maybe some that like, try??? one or the other??? but never both, at the same time, deeply successfully. i am such an appreciative fan of yall’s work. the acting, writing, filmmaking, i just. am so so grateful. just! yeah! thanks! im a huge fan!! xoxo hags etc etc
The Dune Books came out before the Star Wars movies. So even though the Star Wars movies came out before the Dune movies, you can't say that Dune copied Star Wars, because the Dune Movies are based on BOOKS that came out BEFORE the Star Wars movies. I haven't even read the Dune books or seen the movies, but it still hacks me off when people say Dune copied Star Wars.
"my knee buckled, my knee buckled!" 😂
Dune 1: I would distance myself from you.
Dune 2: I would invoke a Tahaddi Challenge. 😅
Comedy Central gotta give y’all a show
Look, I respect Dune for what it is and what it represents, which does serve to elevate the medium of cinema. However, I also admit that I did not fall in love with it, and one of the biggest reasons is that I just couldn't get over the actors. Don't get me wrong, they all did great jobs, but this isn't about them, it's about me. I had seen all these people before in other great movies, movies that were great in no small part because of them. But I had come to associate the roles with these actors, and so seeing them again was like hitting a mental wall. Honestly, it's probably why I thought Austin Butler and Stellan Skarsgård were the best characters, because they had gotten all the most done to change their appearances. But I didn't see Paul Atraides, I saw Timothée Chalamet. That's not anyone's fault but mine, but it is a thing.
Bro is so scared of the hate comments online that he's like "sorry, it's just me" for like a billion times 😂😂. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Dune, but I too believe that preferences are a personal thing. You can dislike something that others like, it's just choice. Only that u can't say it was shit, or boring, or bad, or that the story progression sucked
@@sidsdabest2416reread the comment.
@@moonlit_sky127 I'm not taking exclusively about the guy commenting. Im talking about the general crowds of hate shitposters( not that this guy is one of em)
This is so me. I couldn't even finish the movie because I kept comparing it to the David Lynch film which is just so much more interesting.
I really loved how everyone just talk about the visual and the special effects when they talk about Dune. That says a lot of the movie. Personally i think it's a movie that come out late, after SO many steal from it.
And really hurts me say this, because i really loved Villeneuve's films but Dune it's, not boring, but not compelling.
Because you’re not compellable
this video is sensational and gave me the exact words i need to use towards my friend that said Dune 2 was just "ok"
I found it hard to get into really, I watched the first one and second but I don’t know if it’s for me. I feel like if i got more into the lore I would love it but I just felt like everyone else got it whilst I was like oh ok there is a guy who everyone is rooting for due to some prophecy.
I don’t know how I got here, but I’m glad I am! 😂😂😂
To be fair he’s right. Giving dune props is literally giving props to a remake with elements stolen from other franchises. It’s loving a movie not being as ass as everything else was.
Frank Herbert only wrote 6 dune books. None of them are prequels. His son made prequels and sequels. Why do people who watch UA-cam videos at 3 am insist that they know more than the people that consume the actual media?
The shutter island soundtrack on top of this 👌
Dune is a cinematic masterpiece. I’m kinda obsessed with it. My son 15 yo son called it Mid💀
When I was 15 I didn’t think LotR had much in it to write home about 😅 Re-watched in my late 20’s and realized what I missed back then. Not comparable to Dune for me on any level, but still masterworks as films go.
Your son is gold. You just have a poor taste in cinema.
I even love the intro and outro 👍 "Are we supposed to subscribe?" 😂
You guys should absolutely put up blooper videos!!
the dude fainting because of HBO Max 🤣😂
HE DIDNT SEE IT IN IMAX? you have to feel the film!
I have to talk with a movie buff later about Dune and I am so using “It basically copied Star Wars” just to watch him start screaming.
I don't have enough friends to have intervention.
The one guy's actually crying haha
Alright rq the "copying starwars" joke is fuckin gold.
I honestly felt the first one was a little boring as it seemed to go nowhere, but I knew it was building up to the sequel. Dune part 1 alone is a little boring but it leads pretty darn well to the sequel, which did not disappoint. I gotta read the book, it’ll be even better then
i get why curry did what he did in part 2.
I can relate to this, not sure if I could stay friends with someone with terrible opinions.
There is actually a very true message to the humour in this with todays society
This performance was better than doom
LOL... Dude started crying...
Having watched all of it from the original in 1984 to the recent Dune 2. Frank Herbert did it better.
The cliche at the end, like the one in the Lorax “Curry…”
Dune was written a decade before star wars. 1:47
Give him the Chair.
The one from: The Chair.
you are awesome actors!
Dune fans “your opinion means absolutely nothing!” While simultaneously letting negative opinions of Dune ruin their entire being 😂
Strong super mega vibes. I love you boys.
Long-haired Oscar Isaac being there should have told him he went too far
Plot twist he's the only one who actually read the book
If anything star wars copied Dune since Dune book was released in the 60s and star wars movie was released in around the 80s
Honestly this one just made me frustrated. Can’t stand it when someone gets bullied.
Bruh that line at 3:20 hits differently
Wow guys! Second video, thank you again!
Dune was three stars to me. Yes, you heard me.
HBO MAX FOR SURE ^
