    ABOUT:
Hello friends! Welcome to my shed. The Daily Shed is a daily (Mon-Fri) talk show and vlog that I produce in my shed. Each day, I pick a topic to discuss, and spend about 10 minutes on the subject. Then we talk about it in the comments! Thanks for checking out the show! - Chevee

dude, $75k a year in California is barely over the poverty line in 95% of the state, not just the coastal region! There's a vast spread in cost of living across the usa. i can't even remember the last time i wrote a check, been at least 5-10 years 😁Bay Area & San Diego cost of living index are really similar, around 49% higher than national average, but i would argue that SD is actually way worse than the bay area because the salaries down here are nowhere near the bay area, so the differential in pay to cost of living is much greater.

I've seen WV listed as 25% below the national average but also as the second lowest cost of living by state. Not sure what to believe.

That's probably still a pretty reasonable/comfortable salary here if you're out of the metro Atlanta area. But the property (esp these days) in the cities & nearby suburbs would be a challenge if you didn't own something already.

Oh, I can't even imagine property values in cities.
