  • John Deere 7950 opens up the next field, while Rob on the Case 210 backs down the hill to give a helping shove to a hapless 6930 stuck in a hole. Meanwhile the 7850 carries on in the first field with less hassle - he is able to go across the slope and avoid the murky lower edges!

@balmesh well we use the blue barrels to just hold/ transport it as we get the ecosile/corn in little 10L drums and we have to mix them with water ,then we just fill blue barrels with water and add the drum of stuff :) we do have a little tank on the wing of the harvester for puttin additive on but ive never seen them using that :)

They're a mixed blessing, too. Sometimes a timely distraction and added variety and sometimes a blooming nuisance appearing just when you were getting going!

Thanks Richard - so blue barrels is the mix (of course) and when new blue barrles arrive it is presumably more ready-mixed?

Yes, we grow maize (not for grain) but we havn't learnt how to control the weather yet. Imagine the arguments there would be if we could! I need dry weather for three weeks - no, I desperately need rain for my trout stream . . . .

Brilliant video Alan with great scenery. Do a lot of contractors in your area apply acid ? Never seen it being put on maize before

Thanks very much for that info. Everything seems to come in blue barrels, though!

On grass it seems invariable to apply "Ecosile" but on Maize not so. What they do put on I have never thought to ask.

Es hängt davon ab, welche Videos du meinst. Die HD diejenigen sind (meistens) Panasonic SD90.

I don't think GB is the place for Maize - when I was a lad it wasn't even thought of, no more than growing bananas!

No farm names and no farmer names is my policy - it's for security and the farmers feel better about it.

Yes, you're the first (and probably the last!) My wife said the same - "13 - hundreds?" Anyway, thank you very much. It wouldn't be the same without you!
