Those of us that watch Matt and his team make recoveries look easy really enjoy watching Robby and his team do recoveries like we all would if we had to. Hilarious reminds me of when I was young and stupid.
Your recoveries are the most interesting and entertaining to watch! With Rory or MORR you pretty much know the outcome before you watch. With you guys, you never really know if you’re going to make it out until you make it out! Haha! 😂
You guys are great. I really like watching Hillbilly breaking things. He is so much like my youngest son. Heart of gold and will give you his last bottle of water while stranded in a desert. But could break an anvil in a sandbox. You guys are awesome!
Making two UA-camrs proud with one repair. Matt (Matt's off-road recovery)with the claw hammer. Derek (vice grip garage) with the vice grip. Vise-grip garage should also be in the demolition derby
If you want your own easier to recover meth-mobile-home-away-from-home theres a early 90s "GMC" flatbed (rebranded Mitsubishi fuso) with a "very well maintained" travel trailer behind it abandoned in my town 1/4mi from the police station, but nobody will touch it. 😂
Hillbilly's Trekker is going to need some love soon, a locker, some brake work, etc. But you guys managed to get the almost dead Dodge out, and Demri added a sane and serene presence in the middle of all the shenanigans! Good work team Layton!
This is what I'm here for, not the Summit guy. I get that pays the bills, but I don't watch those videos. Thanks for a return to what made the channel amazing!
I agree totally not sure what it is about him, but that summit guy just rubs me the wrong way🤣 maybe it's his his over enthusiasm on everything hahaha, I think most watch this channel for Hillbilly and Robby's Realness
😂 I have literally been crying laughing at this one. The disappointment and disapproval in Demri’s face and voice is priceless. It just makes it so much funnier. I’m a bad bad man.
Think I kinda understand one of the many reasons I see abandoned vehicles on off-road trails. People take POS as far as they can and then abandon it where it died, or the vehicle was stolen. That recovery cost more than the vehicle was worth. Very entertaining, thanks for sharing.
As someone who loves national and state parks, thanks for your service getting that thing out of there! And as a subscriber, thanks for making the journey entertaining!
Really like Robby's videos. He and Demri are so awesome. Hillbilly lives up to his nickname...in a good way. Thank you all for great content from the hot and dusty mountains above Manti.
Love the content you have been posting. A wide variety of everything. From shop work to building the old car at summit racing to working with sparks on the wayne truck to all the recoveries. I throughly enjoy it all. Keep it coming.
Just seen Hillbilly say he needs to adjust the carburetor. If he got the Holley Snyper fuel injection that replaces the one barrel autolite 1100 series carb. just need a adapter for the manifold but will make that four cylinder run like crazy, no more carb related issues.
Just an FYI for you Robbie - The name Pinchot is pronounced pin-chO with a hard "O" sound and no "T" at the end. It comes from the very first chief of the US Forest Service in 1949, Mr. Gifford Pinchot. Mr. Pinchot tripled the nation's forest reserves, protecting their long term health for both conservation and recreational use. There are parks, forests, and trails all across the country named in his honor.
Crazy recovery! Too bad about the front brake on the Trekker, but I'm glad no one got hurt when this unwelcome surprise developed. At least y'all were hydrated!
Well that's one way to recovery it. Wow. Can't wait to see more updates an projects and many more videos soon my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On keep recovering. keep Making. God bless.
Okay this series was so entertaining! 🤣 I couldn;t wait to see the outcome of this recovery. Also, "Hillbilly, don't break anything!" should be a sticker!
Oh Demiree; you are one special wife & Boss to guide your Robby and awesome team mate Hillbilly and Steve & Colton on these crazy dangerous recoveries. I just can't help but laugh myself so silly, reminds of watching the 3 stooges and loved it!!
great recovery 👍 👏 🙏🏼 👌 and the trecker got a few off road stripes...thanks for bringing us along for your adventure and keep making great videos 📹 👍 👌 😀 and sharing your recovery...
And folks we are professionals, don’t try this at home. Great stuff. I hope the owners of this vehicle are being fined for this. I am a firm believer in pack in pack out. I want all the trails to stay open. Then something like this happens.
Often people with vehicles like this cannot afford the tow bills, not to mention any fine from the forestry department. But hopefully Robbie and crew get paid more than just the truck.
@@D60433 I think he said in the first video that the Forest Service called him about the truck so they're probably his customer and will hopefully pay him for his and his crew's time. 🤞 It would then be up to them to try to get anything out of the people who left it there. Search and Rescue came to get them when they got it stuck so I imagine they have been identified and have a fine or two coming.

Truly amazing! There are almost no words. For the amount of resources available (money) and a reasonable amount of experience in recovery operations, this hurts to watch (although entertaining). It makes decent content, but as they say, OMG!
Hahaha 🤣 this was an awesome recovery Robbie! I hope the trekker gets some love and lockers soon ! I had a 1982 toyota 4x4 so it brings back great memories!
You all should be given an environmental impact award for removing that trash laden junk wagon outa the forest. Good job. Ps trekker needs lockers n such, maybe a golden nugget style restoration perhaps?....I'd like it. Awsome content as usual 👌
What ever happened to your red XJ from back in the day? I think this shows that if your going to do these off-road recoveries with out phoning in a friend an off-road wrecker of your own is needed. Now I know Rory is “building” one but as much as I love the idea of it that choice of vehicle might be a bit impractical.
When I first saw the title I thought "Another one?!". Then I remembered we were waiting for part 2 of this... adventure. Also, how nobody thought to use a rope to hold that stupid door?
I would have also taken my quad on that recovery. I use to go exploring in my 1965 Jeep gladiator pickup all over Nevada, BUT, I always had my XT600 on the bed. I might get stuck, or broke down, but I am not walking out. A person should always have a back-up plan. I ride my quad and dirt bike alone all of the time, BUT, I always carry my Personal Locater beacon with me. I am 76, and I am well aware that crap happens!!! I also have a tool kit in all of my vehicles. I hydro-locked my Jeep Cherokee crossing a creek. I took all of the spark plugs out and pumped all of the water out, then drove it 100 miles home. It now has 240,000 miles on it, and it is still going strong.
19:59 mark...Robby, Hillbilly and Steve...do you mean to tell me you didn't have a rope or a clapped-out ratchet strap or duct tape or SOMETHING to fasten the driver's door on the Ram shut so Robby could steer with both hands?! Guys, come on...what the...??? Lol
I've been getting a bit more into off-road recovery channels lately and I always have the same thought and the same realization on just about every video. "Who the crap thought it was a smart idea to take a with down that trail?" then the realization hits me that I'm watching Robby Layton, Matt's Off-Road Recovery, and Fab Rats; three off-road recovery youtubers based in Utah......and I currently reside in Utah. . . . . . . . . . .(le sigh)

redneck breaks also good 😂
Blue theme as wish, maybe there is something under the dust ^^
Robby is still significantly more capable and knowledgeable than the average wheeler.
did you used to have hair back then?
For a body repair guy, Robby and his team aye get them out.
15:25 props to hillbilly’s uncle for being prepared. Make sure to restock.
Possibly the best video yet. Compliments to Demri for excellent editing, selection and sound level of background music. Well done team.
As far as I know Robbys brother is cutting the videos... I hope he gets the complements, he deserves them. Demri does a good job filming too.
Demri doesn't do editing, she just does the camera work.

@@RobbyLayton still miss "Diner". How about an update on him and have him do a cameo spot once in a while. Just a thought.
Robby, since you are not using the seatbelt, might as well use it to strap the door to keep it shut.
I thought the same thing. I wonder if he wanted to keep the option of bailing out on the table 😆
Not enough rope to tie the door ???😂.
Rob driving that old trash truck like it was a demolition derby was priceless!
Hillbilly’s uncle was the man. All those spare parts is the mark of someone who’s broke down before
It's also the mark of an old Land Rover owner😆
