This watch is every bit as good as they say it is! Great specs, vintage looks and a rock solid reliable movement. I think I’m going to have to pay more attention to ze Germans! 😂😎
That 356 looks great on your wrist. I looked at the 356 for a long time but I ended up with the Hanhart 417 39mm manual wind. I already have a Sinn 144 chronograph, but I love the look of the 356 a lot.
I own the 356 for 3 years now and I really love this watch! Unfortunately many have issues with them, probably it is a matter of luck in the end. In my opinion the build quality is not close to the speedmaster (comparing it to my 1681) and also should not be seen as an alternative to it. You can also check the hanhard as someone else mentioned and also the longines big eye (black dial one).
This Sinn 356 is a nice watch, but it's a pilot watch with a chronograph. The Speedmaster is not a pilot watch, but a chronograph with a tachymeter bezel. Very different styles and it's not possible to compare the 2 directly.
@@gregtolley3455 for me the bezel doesn’t matter. They are both are vintage reissued chronographs worn by pilots from brands with designs going back decades! Do for me I think it’s a great alternative if you like pilots watches but can’t or won’t stretch to a speedmaster (or I suppose if you don’t like homages)

Ohh yes the Longines is a grail watch of mine!! Good shout and welcome to the awkward team!

Indeed, comparing apples to oranges. The Sinn is at the top in its own little aviator zone. Speed master vs Daytona would be a better comparison.
Never needed a tachymeter in my own uses so I'm happy it's not there.
🍎 🍊 Both are fruits.
Nice watch!
Clasp needs updating to on-the-fly adjust.
@@hootonhoot good shout!!
There is already a new clasp with micro adjust available.
@@heinerjurgens5362 again another good shout 😎
Checkout the Hanhart 417ES 1954 as a follow-up to your Sinn 356
Will do! Thanks for the tip 😎
@AwkwardHorology I read the Hanhart 417ES was the blueprint for the legendary Type 20 series.
I love the new reverse panda flyback but there's no 12 hr counter😢
Needs a bezel to be a legit speedie sub imo. Not even close to the same look.
