After removing the radio,I need to remove the climate controls to access the bottom of the frame to drill a hole,just above the lided compartment,to run some wiring

Does the old factory radio have a fuse in the back of the unit?

If your looking at the white block inside the main qaudlock harness then depending on spec level it's for either steering controls or illumination.

My friend I just did the swap today (audio 5 to oem audio 50 like the above) after long long search an without help from anyone. Now the best thing is to buy an all in one android Navi and not the factory one believe me it doesn't worth it. It's not compatible with the steering wheel buttons, it doesn't turn off with the key when you turn off the car off, and it doesn't read the disc. Now if you still want to do it you will need : 1) an iso to quadlock adapter cable

Nice work, I have CD-problems with my NTG 2.5, I tryed to eject all of the cds and something went wrong and now the system says that there are no cds inside and I cant insert anny. I think that there is some mechanical failiure insed so Im gonna try to remove it and opetn the system up
Yep it's a case of remove and take out the loading mech to remove the disks because it sound like it's gone out of alignment.
Yap, did it and got it going except one disk 💿 that is still stuck between some metal pieces. So I need to disassemble the whole thing :/ with a little patience everything is doable:)
What do you think about these 4GB RAM aftermarket head units found on ebay? Do you do this for a living, are you willing to come to East of England to fit one and reverse camera etc in my B class 2007? I can pay of course.

Volume turned down (yes I have had this come in as a problem in the past)
great video. just discovered it. my issue is that the radio has a hissing sound as if the antenna is disconnected or not properly connected anymore. would i need to remove the whole unit to inspect this?
I have the same problem , did you fix your radio and have to take everything apart or was there some other shortcut- wishful thinking
Do you need a cable to connect antenna amplifier?
Yes ideally, they look like a two inch cylinder and have a blue power cable on them. Consult your retailer for the correct version.
