Greetings from Scotland! A team Morocco beat 3-1 at the 1998 World Cup in France! We played well that night, but Morocco were amazing and they are truly amazing now! I reckon African Cup will be Morocco v Egypt Final, but it's such a crazy tournament, it could be many of the 24 teams in the Semis. Good luck to all nations in that cup.

I am Moroccan who spent 4 years of his childhood in Morocco. and I remember the incredible talents they played with on the street, unfortunately it's difficult to emerge, it's not like in Europe, so these kids lose hope after a while and go to work. in Morocco there is a quantity of talent growing up on the streets that you can't even imagine.
Love to Morocco from India, hopefully Morocco will be champion some day.

From my recollection, it’s not that the families didn’t support their girls to play, it was that the girls had no interest in playing. I loved playing soccer when I was a kid in Morocco till I was kicked out by the boys😅. My dad almost started begging other dads in our building to ask their daughters to play soccer with me and some girls did until they lost interest (shortly after)😅
But don't you think girls don't like playing football because it is very stigmatised and presumed a masculine activity though?
@@user-wu3rn3zj8x absolutely! Humans ‘interest’ is often shaped by what society considers appropriate, valuable or ‘cool’. Soccer wasn’t considered an appropriate (feminine) activity for girls. It wasn’t illegal but it wasn’t encouraged either
