  • Before you begin please make sure this task is one you are comfortable with, if you are not, please refer to one of our partnered trade professionals. The most important part of this is to ensure your "Angle Stops," otherwise known as Emergency Shut Off Valves, are in good condition and easy to turn. If they are not or if you are unsure, turn off the water to your home, and drain the water out of your Plumbing System before starting. Anything you do from these videos is at your own discretion, and we are not responsible if something goes wrong.
This video will explain how to clean or replace a Kitchen Faucet for your home. We use a Kohler Simplice in this example.
    What you'll need:
    - Basin Wrench (in some cases)
    - Crescent Wrench (Smooth)
    - Chanel Locks (with Teeth)
    - Phillips Screwdriver
    - Flathead Screwdriver
    - Small bucket
    - Rags
    - Your new Kitchen Faucet

Give me a break. You showed nothing of attachments above counter. If you had a collet connection, how did you deal with it?

I apologize for the inconvenience, all the faucets we have dealt with have the collet connection "Quick Connect" underneath the sink. This video is specifically for the Kohler Simplice. If you send in some pictures of what you are specifically dealing with, we may be able to help, or you can always give us a call to have a professional come out. In some cases, these connections can be frozen shut and may need to be cut off when removing.

Hey Charlie - There is a washer that goes between the faucet and countertop, even without the cover plate for a 3-hole mount. This washer has two different surfaces. One side is plastic with a lip - the other has a rubber cushion or wiper. The install instructions included aren't very clear concerning which side contacts the faucet and which side contacts the mounting (sink) surface. It looks like the side with the rubber insert goes 'down' (does not contact the faucet on the washer surface). I pre-assembled it and it does seem to fit better this way but wondering if you can remember which side is up or down? Really appreciate the rest of the video - clear footage and well-explained, Thank you!@@Charlieshowtoforhomeowners
