For these clips I used 2 builds with slight variations, Smash, Toughness (10% More Health), Morale Boost (12% Health on Kill) and either Savage (10% physical power when no chest armor) or Carnage (10 strength on kill for 7 seconds). For abilities I used Rage for the speed boost and damage and Savage Roar for reducing a lot of damage from 3 mans. What do you think is the best build for barb and do you expect it will be heavily nerfed next patch?
Unfortunately the melee combat in both games is massively different because DnD has no real effective way to parry damage and doesn't use a timed parry system it won't help you, also the locked swing directions in DnD are completely different from mordhau where you choose your direction of attack. The only skills that might be even remotely similar is just learning how to footwork out of your enemies attacks and/or dodging them with crouch/leanbacking or jumping. Learning how to accel or drag your swings MIGHT help you understand how to cleave better in Dark and Darker but that's about all I can think of mechanically.
Nice video. But all I saw was purple or legendary, maybe even unique gear vs fresh white spawns most of the video. When you can run into the middle of 3 people landing hit after hit after hit on you and you barely take damage. That is not skill sadly. It's just being twinked to the max.
Some interesting points to comment, firstly at no point during the playtest did ever have legendary or unique it was never worth the risk to run, my standard kit was usually a purple or blue quarterstaff 2 stacks of health pots and protection pots each, and starter armor. I would only upgrade through the kills in each round or loot found in raid. Secondly you are right mechanically the game doesn't require much skill mechanically as the skill ceiling is quite low BUT even with the skill ceiling being so low many players are just absolutely terrible at the game as you can see in the fight at 5:17 all 3 players were geared and yet none of them hit me even a single time. The entire skill ceiling required in this game is just a few things, decision making, knowing when and where to engage an enemy group, having as much buffs active as available too you as a solo (which is just shrines protection pots and your own abilities) maximizing your movement speed through buffs or shrines and then using that movement speed to footwork mitigate as much of the damage as possible and team positioning, if you position your self to force 1v1s against a team and they give you those 1v1s that's a skill issue on their side. That's pretty much it, I have some more videos coming with some high kill solo runs where you can see all the loot, I got QUITE a few purples off of 3 mans doing this. And I would be happy to see any videos of you demonstrating your footwork in 1v3s :)

I could clearly see you do know what you are doing. I could tell you positioned well and used your angles to get multihits. Also wigeling? back and forth or ducking every so often to avoid hits. That is clearly skill. What I reacted negatively too was only some parts of the video. And especially the situation where 3 players surround you and I see you taking multiple hits from all of them. Probably 8 or so. And they do like 5-10% damage per hit on you. That is clearly gear difference. I understand that is part of the game and not your fault for having gear and they don't. But highlight videos usually become a collection of noob stomping ^^ Which I think is more like showing off bullying skills rather than showing off impressive feats. However, you did also put in a couple "fails" in the beginning. So I guess I shouldn't have reacted so harshly. Like I said before. Nice video and I meant that. Even if I made a lazy comment after making it seem like I really didn't mean it xD

Did u change thumbnail? Tho it was different yesterday. Regarding perks - Smash, morale boost, axe spec(scales franciscas) always. 4th is optional
