I think the core of the demon slayer game was really good so I didn’t expect that to really change, but I did expect them to build off the first game more. Little changes like unique animated intros for characters entering battle, character interactions + dialogue between winners and losers in the outro sequence, and even interactive/destructible stages could go a long way. Just needs lots of little changes to make the second game feel like an actual improvement rather than slapping on more content over the same game.
During the new vid of the Bleach voice actor (🤫), they fixed Ulquiorra's awakening and reawakening animations getting stuck for an instant right before the transformation itself, using black spiritual pressure to obscure the screen for a small transition. It's great to see they're on top of details like that

I think a good gimmick for Shinji would be to just invert the order of all the bars and even the other player's HUD, instead of going from left to right it would be from right to left and his life would be at the bottom it's not exactly what Shinji does in the manga, but it would cause a little confusion without being broken

Even in the Shinobi Strikers example he kinda proved that point; it's not meta for the reverse controls. If they make it too good by reversing your entire controller or something it will just become annoying and unfun to play against. If it's bad Shinji will rely on another gimmick. Their compromise of infinite 50/50s keeps the spirit of the Inverted World without this issue. Globku will probably keep arguing with one side of this point tho lmao

In Bleach, One thing no one seems to notice or is mentioning is the fact you seem to lose the ability to guard/block. I’m Not talking about guard break. It seems like after transformations or using meter, you have no guard meter. At 32:59 player 2 whiffs a move and it Completely disabled his block meter entirely. And this seems to happen to both players a significant amount of times all throughout the matches. I mean even at the beginning of the next match 36:56, neither player has guard meter, like what?! lol
I like the balance changes they made in this game I feel these were a bit more necessary but they could also have changed the number of rounds for time reasons for the whatever this thing was I’m forgetting
Ur TC meter automatically fills you no longer have to stand still in this one kinda like connections does. That’s BIG change nobody mentioned an it’s probably y everything cost.

If you've played with reversed movement in any 3d game you know you adapt quick especially if you know it's happening They unfortunately did not cook with shinji. Rewatching the anime he tells aizen his shikai reverses his sense of direction/perception, and proceeds to say that all directions including forward and back are reversed as well as the directions he is attacking from. He needed something of that nature to show in the trailer, they just gave him counters and unblockables and an awakening they said does not change anything for him significantly. Compared to how they did tosen this was lazy/ not given as much full effort personally

Something being hard to balance doesn't mean that it's inherently broken; it means that it is either broken or useless and getting to something in-between is difficult. The problem is that if Inverted World *was* good it would be annoying and unfun. If it's *not* good it would be a useless gimmick. Tosen is different because it's not that hard to balance. It's also funny that you brought up the reversal of direction and perception because the way it was used in the Aizen fight just meant that Aizen couldn't block in front if an attack came from the "front". So basically when he had his guard up the attack would hit him anyway... hmm... and if Aizen tried to attack ahead of him, Shinji would be behind him to *counter attack*. It's almost as if they put these aspects of his kit in the character WITHOUT having to balance reverse controls.
@154Mamba "us" is divided. Globku's opinion on how shinji was done in the trailer isn't the first time I've heard that opinion. From posts I've read and seen the community is pretty divided on him. Some accept the reasoning that reversing controls is difficult to implement, others say if you can implement soifons insta kill and tosen full darkness then you can implement the opponents perception to be reversed

Ulquiorra used his regeneration skill he can heal its his gimmick cero use health so you gotta balance yourself with healing

Buddy of mine played it you never lose the ability to block unless the guard meter empties out
