Chapter 4 fucking HURT. It's fucking insane that(spoilers): Yakou banked on and exposed himself to REPEATEDLY dying over and over again as part of his plan, and then arranged to have himself offed anyway. What a fucking KING.
Well, during my first playthrough of this game, I thankfully only messed up the electrified floor panel puzzle twice. So, unless I’m mistaken, Yakou died no more than five times in my playthrough. Rest in peace, Yakou Furio. =‘(
My only issue with it was that it was too obvious. I think it would have worked better if there were other characters in the lab to act as red herrings, because right from the beginning I was like "It was Yakou".
What interesting twists and turns, who would’ve suspected that the Pink Blood would actually become a Plot Point in this Game? Regardless, i wonder if there will be a Sequel?
Not to mention, chapter 0’s murder method would disguise the fact that the victims would have bled normal red blood if killed in any other way Making us still think the pink blood is “normal” based on Danganronpa standard
These fully 3D case recaps feel like a breath of fresh air after the 2D manga-style Climax Reasonings in the Danganronpa franchise. Even if this was to reduce budget costs, these Deduction Denouements nonetheless look and sound pretty cool as a Case Closed homage.
Kinda disappointed they (almost) all end with the same reaping scene. After all the things Kodata took from Danganronpa, that was the perfect opportunity to sneak in some creative execution-like animations. My guess is that they wanted to imply she's not the sadist she pretends to be, as executions would definitely make her look like one even if they were toned down.
Spoiler: Just imagine the number un times Yakou was "murdered" by Yuma and Desuhiko, without them knowing, during the passage in the electric panels room before finally committing his crime. That shows how determined he was to get revenge on Huesca for what he did to his wife.
I also wish each Mystery Labyrinth looked totally unique based on the case itself. They have some rooms like that in them, but overall the exterior always looks the same and you always run through those Egyptian themed hallways.
My god chapter 4 was heartbreaking,
at least Shinigami acutally gave Yakou a more merciful end instead just reaping his soul in an explosion.
That actually made me happy that she ultimately didn't blast him like all the others too.

Same but for chapter 2. I felt sadder for those three girls honestly

I kinda liked the 2D art more, to be honest. But it's cool in Rain Code, too.
