How To Create a Mermaid Peekaboo Tumbler [Mica Powder Tutorial]

- Hello Friends! Welcome back! In today’s tumbler tutorial, we’re going to create a black opal mermaid tumbler design. This design is not my typical design style, so it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone! I loved being able to try a few new techniques and accomplish a really cool end result!

Just a suggestion. When I have vinyl not cooperating like roughing at top of cup, I will trim as much as possible as you did, then run my heat gun around cup. It kinda shrink wraps it down and usually will remove creases and micro bubbles etc.

Did you have to seal your mica powder before the 1st layer of epoxy over the mica? Beautiful!
Thank you! I did not seal them before epoxy!
Try using some heat around the rim before you epoxy, it will shrink the wrinkles out
That’s what I typically do. Didn’t work with this vinyl!
You can use glitter glue with foil also. Just don't let it cure completely.🤗

Heat it up with a heat gun a bit after the foil is on then rub. Works wonders!
