I love all these whites but most of all chantilly lace and then white wisp, cloud cover for outside, Balboa mist lovely foe kids rooms, grey owl lively for a wall to emphasize a picture or an area, lovely

We painted our master bedroom Chantilly Lace. We love the colour however it took 4 coats of paint (in the highest quality/finish) to properly cover our existing off white/light grey builder’s paint colour. Benjamin Moore later informed us that this is a reoccurring theme with this shade.
Good to know. It’s the white we’re thinking of for or master. In my daughter’s room and my office I went with Behr’s ultra pure white and loved it, so clean and calming.
these are great comments! i have a sample oh behrs ultra pure white since its a one coat job. i love chantilly lace and would prefer that but heard its a 4-5 coat job. no one has that time lol! great suggestions!

Can I ask, how many coats did you need of the chantilly lace?
@@rockz755 Unfortunately it took three coats. I was covering darker colors and chantilly lace has very little pigment. I have to say though if you like a crisp, neutral white, it’s a beautiful option 😊

Floors are gray . Cabinets are grey on white. countertops are White w/black dark thick black veins. Exterior is Cloud Cover brick and Iron Ore Siding
I just loved this video. All of our trim is SW extra white which is a cool white that I love because our house isn't always bright because it faces NW on a wooded lot. That being said we have repose gray and gray owl in our home which we love! What white color walls could I do with the Extra White Trim? I was thinking white dove to give a bit of a contrast. Or would that look completely off? Haven't tried extra white on the walls yet because I'm afraid it will be too stark. I'm kind of going mad looking at Soo many different whites. I know I'll need to test but was looking for some suggestions. Don't want to repaint all the trim 🤦♀️🤦♀️ thanks so much!
I live in a one storey with open concept and cathedral ceiling of 20 feet. Thinking of Chantilly Lace for the whole first floor. I have a few questions on combining with the rest of the walls -1. My 1920 small beach cottage is painted exterior chantilly lace. I have the shutters in balboa mist. It’s gorgeous and soft. Looks like a marshmallow 😂💜
I also noticed that when you talked about whites normally it’s always on a big house with a lots of windows. But my house living room is very small so maybe a different kind of white because it only has like one window in the living room if that makes any sense.

What do you think of breaking kids bedroom wall with the top being chantilly lace OC-65 and down sterling 1591 from Benjamin Moore, and painting the back wall of my master bedroom with sterling 1591 as well and the rest of the master bedroom walls chantilly lace. I'm just overwhelmed with choosing a grey colour that matches well with chantilly lace and not too dark. Is that a good combination?

Firmly committed to cavern clay as an accent wall. STILL struggling with deciding on an off white for the other 3 walls in the master bedroom. The room gets plenty of sun. Pure white? Simply white? Origami? Any suggestions?

Sorry for the dealy! I hope you were able to get it done! We used the exterior eggshell on the brick. On our original garage door (the one in this video), it is Black Jack in Satin in Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior.
Thank you! Your video on white paints really helped me narrow things down. Our kitchen cabinets (north-facing in Northern CA) are painted BM Advance Simply White, satin finish. They're beautiful and look pure white. I assumed I would paint the walls Simply White as well, but SW in eggshell looks yellow compared to the cabinets (both in daylight and LED 3000K recessed). Wall was primed and then three coats of SW applied, so not an application problem. Could the fact that the cabinets were sprayed (required dilution) plus sheen difference account for the color discrepancy? Chantilly Lace in eggshell appears minimally brighter than the cabinets, but otherwise seems to match better without making the cabinets appear yellow. Does that sound like a reasonable choice?
Whites can contrast each other. You might want to look at your new cabinet color for the walls as well with the Eggshell

Yes! Double-check next to your cabinets first, sometimes they can more off-white, or more blue-white. Just be mindful that you may highlight the cabinetry, not a bad thing, but just so you're aware. :)
Hi ! So my home space is on the small size and my kitchen has white quartz and nude wood cabinet and the rest of the kitchen is all white I have mix of metals and I have warm wood and floor tiles and mostly have artificial lighting what color will open the space but be warm and inviting . Hi there, I need your help!
I have a northern facing room and I made the big mistake of painting it Graytint, the room became practically blue! Now we have to repaint. I’ve decided I want white. I’ve tried Chantilly Lace and Distant gray, they are both too creamy for me, and the White PM-2 from BM was the best one so far, but I feel like it’s very dull and grayish. Then there’s super white and that just is too stark and I know I’m going to be seeing blue and I don’t want to be seeing any blue. I’m going to the store tomorrow, and I’m thinking of getting PM-2 lightened, maybe try Oxford white, and I know they sell farrow and ball so I might get all white. But I need desperate help in finding a fresh white with no cool blue and very very very minimal cream undertones. Sorry for the lengthy text. Thanks.

We would use Chantilly Lace! Satin on the baseboards and Flat on the Ceiling.
My Fav. Color is Yello . But im afraid to use that color , coz its so strong . Shout out from Philippines .
For a Yellow, I always suggest picking your fav and then go two to three shades lighter. It appears much stronger on your walls than you think! You can also opt to go neutral on your walls and just use yellow decor accents. :)

They are both beautiful! We have Pale Oak in our studio kitchen. It has a slightly more pink undertone than Balboa Mist.

Oh, that's a tough one! I would think a softer white or Off-white like Cloud Cover, but it's hard to say for sure without seeing the space.

Yes, you can! It will be an even brighter white on the exterior. We opted for Cloud Cover so it was a bit softer.

I think she had a thing at the end that said to go with eggshell for walls. I agree. The cleanup is so much better and you can’t tell the difference. Flat, or matte, to me, looks like chalk paint. Just my thoughts.

White Dove is also a beautiful colour! We would typically opt to paint the ceiling white unless we were doing a darker moody room.

If you want a bright white I would suggest Chantilly Lace. If you want a subtle more off white I would suggest White Wisp

We typically opt for Chantilly Lace on baseboards and ceilings when it's on the walls.

We use Chantilly Lace on the Baseboards (Satin) and Ceilings (Flat) as well! The contrast is in the sheen but otherwise, it's a minimal transition.
