"Crucify Your Cultue" and "Money Ties" are almost the bookends to the Money Game Series. Also, although not an out and out musical piece, "Eden" is pretty much a companion piece to Money Game 3, released hours before the release og Money Game 3 and the "Sick Boi" album. It was the culmination of a week of mind-numbingly difficult 'money games', that required community cooperation and collaboration, in order to succeed. Although not a music video, "Eden" is definitely worth a watch! :)

“I grow, then I preach, scrap that, I teach
Teach over beats to all those that seek
Teach on these streets, streets can be bleak
But bleak was the place where I rose to my feet”
Utopia might be a fallacy, but as Ren says “utopia(s)” plural… maybe.
Either way, Ren has re-taught me to love.
I love you brother. You have incredible insight that I can appreciate.

I truly appreciate that. The more I’m able to reflect, the more I feel and grow from within, and in turn, I can hopefully pass on my own messages, to those who would also take the time to listen.
The difference is…I hope they feel the same as we interact. I listen to digest and communicate…and love when I can sit back and relate to others.
      Those sacred moments become priceless.

A rising tide! Your skill as a poet makes you uniquely qualified and gifted with grasping Ren’s deeper messages and meaning. No one has ever caught the visual and meaning behind Jimmy’s greed, his lack of morals, the turf war, Jimmy’s spinal injury, and the fact that Jimmy in the wheelchair is a metaphor, “if you don’t learn the lesson, karma or life sits you down.” I love your reactions. You give us so much more to think about. We are taught to be divided - yes. Some of us do resist our parents and society’s demands that we worship money as a marker of our own success. I was fortunate in my early years. Girls were told to be seen and not heard. We were considered a burden and a waste of time, and there was no expectation other than we do our share of work in the home. When I left that life forever at 17, I forged my own course on what was important for me. Yes, you have to have money to survive day to day. But you can bring kindness, compassion, love and respect for all others with you. Did I get burned by missing the signs of greedy, toxic people who had an agenda? Indeed. But I learned quickly how to spot the liars and the users. Your girls are so fortunate to have you in their corner. Your hat of the day was perfect. Rooted in Love. This is one of my go to channels. You are grounding and share so much creativity, insight and layers of knowledge in all of your content. Ren did Crucify Your Culture long ago, before Money Game and it does add to this as a Prequel. Money Ties is the cherry on top, with his loving message included for his sister. I hope one day this world gets it right. Ren is right. The powers that be want us divided, at war, paranoid of “the other,” and grubbing for money and power instead of lifting each other up. It’s all an invention. If you try and float an idea that people in society should help each other rise, some Billionaire or Politician starts screaming that your idea is Socialism. Thanks again. My brain is busy, and my heart is full 😆

Another great reaction. I picked up on you thoughts about not listening to the negative input of your father. In my formative years my father wasn't around, and neither where the adults around me to varying degrees. This I think caused a number of things to happen. One was was a feeling of lose. That I was missing something. I realised I became a sponge absorbing what was going on around me. I think even though their was a desire to belong, to fit in, I was never very comfortable with others behaviours and overtime isolated myself. Why because I didn't feel safe or nurtured. I took from your comments something that is very important. That is be aware of what you say and how you say it. You never know who may be absorbing it and how it will affect them.

Great reaction. Halfway through it I noticed the words on your hat… Rooted In Love and it hit me how much this story fell straight into those words.. Rooted In Love is where Jimmy could or should have been taught. 💕. A Rising Tide.

I try to tell myself that if I can look in the mirror and see positivity, then my mind will automatically remind me to give grace, spread peace, and offer love.
The shirt I had on said “YOU CAN’T DEPOSIT EXCUSES” (although slightly different, I also felt that applied as when Life sat Jimmy down…there could be no excuses…
I could go on and on, but I do believe what we find around us also defines, how and what we respond to.

I'm 55 and still a 'flower hat', loving flora and fauna more than wealth. result is that I don't know much about dealing with shares and such, but I do know a lot of how to grow your own food and so on, I could probably survive off grid almost anywhere on the planet. I'm a fan of yours and have followed you since first watch. Thank you for sharing your insights when you breakdown (Ren's in particular) music videos, and I almost always get sent into deep thought afterwards. I had a thought while you were speaking about "dirt VS soil" and it occurred to me EVEN DIRT can be nourished and brought back to a healthy medium for growing, literally. When we become aware that we're starving instead of thriving we can do what plants do: search for water, reach for the sun, connect with surroundings use their water, or adapt to surroundings and change accordingly, OR simply die out. I'm not a plant expert; these are simply my observations. Keep up the awesome work and I wish peace and joy to you and yours.

    • @ToneDeafMusiq
      @ToneDeafMusiq  8 днів тому

I love that…the dirt can still become the soil with nurturing. We don’t need to nurture the flames, when we could make better use of the dirt, and change it to the soil we need.
I pray that we continue to feed and grow on principles that bless us with leaving this Earth Is the most complete feeling fashion we can.
The journey would feel different if we did so I believe.

Life will always remind us…that we are only a speck of dust born unto this Earth…and when we stray too far…there will always be a throne of humility, waiting to seat us….

Your perspective and interpretation of REN’s music is very accurate and helps reinforce the message he is attempting to deliver. In the end what does Jimmy really have, a pile of money, crippled, unhappy and alone.

We all need to show who we are in the right moments. This happened to be one of those for me. I’ve said it before, but it’s an honor to react to this many artists, but especially Ren.

Loving your insight and ability to take on board and share the deeper meaning of his message. It will undoutedly help you rise.
As a child with an unstable mother I learn't drinking to much was a bad thing. I was moved around family members a lot. Living with my grandma for a couple of years from the age of 5. I still remember vividly what I consider my most important lesson in life. 48 years ago, walking along the road with her and her teaching me to hold my head up. To look at people who are passing and if they happen to look up and make eye contact then share a smile. Not all people smile back but I stiill do it to this day. Giving someone a smile is something that costs nothing and brightens a persons day even if it's just a little. I know it brightens mine.

Awesome reaction! I always love the poetic insights you share. Thank you for your contributions that help us also think through the topics Ren introduces, thereby making the world a tad bit better. I loved what you said about not being able to see Ren as a sick boi because he is healthy in morality etc. Suffering has a way of either softening or hardening your heart. There is nothing more beautiful in this world than a person who suffers and remains soft.

My brother, all those years he could not even get out of bed, and watching the world kill itself as All he wanted was to live a life, any life, hours of reflection of the hand he was dealt, yeah he is different, one of the greats, that is why I keep him in prayer always, he has a message that needs to be screamed from the top of every roof, appreciate you dude, you are one of us,

I tend to stack my plate and still give everything my all, which is tough, but I have heard this for many years.
Quick story: I was giving a brief during the Afghan evacuation, and an Officer said…”brotha…I need you to narrate books or something.
Timing was bad, but the message was received. 🤣🙏🏾

A rising tide because there's so much more. Ren not only had to come to terms with his own mortality, he's already lived years longer than he expected. (He thought his illness would end him before he was 30). I think that experience washed away the BS in Ren's world. What makes him an amazing person is he still thinks we can do better, he still has hope.

A Rising Tide- oh yes a rising tide!!!! wow what a breakdown, loved your commentary through this, ren really does have a way of firstly making us ask questions, but also to reflect on ourselves and to consider our own route. If you havent done Money Ties then i sort of see it as an unofficial part 4 (its not, but it follows along the same lines - ok yes you have and i watched it already, great job!). oh and you MUST continue reacting to rens music!
