The plane in the thumbnail is a Typhoon. Tempest has a different tail and thinner wing
The Tempest prototype was the second prototype Typhoon with its Vulture engine replaced.
The synthi-voiceover is simply awful. No concept of Roman numerals, etc. Dreadful. The plane, however, is awesome and the still pictures are good.
My two favorite British WW2 aircraft
Sq/L Joe Berry was the top scorer against V1's , 60 including 7 in one night . He had 3 victories in N.Africa as a night fighter pilot flying Beaufighters. He was sadly killed over Holland when his Tempest was shot down by ground fire.
The Tempest was also a very capable air superiority fighter! Love it!
coudn't fight above 15.000 you call that "air superiority"?
From medium to low altitude, it was supreme, and yes it was very much air superiority fighter!!)
Great plane and great vid thanks!👍
Great Video. What is under the left wing on the Tempest at 2:54? Obviously wind-driven, some kind of EW pod?
If only the Navalized Version - the “Sea Fury” - was ready by the time the British Pacific Fleet was ready to deploy…
Mk V is a designation and it is nomenclature that is pronounced Mark five. Mk is mark and the v.is.Roman numeral. MkX would be mark ten.
you missing 2 words on that title: "Low Level".
I’ve never heard of this plane
Then to further educate yourself check out the Hawker Sea Fury ua-cam.com/video/q6paZWqFV6Y/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheAerodrome
"V minus 1"? Just read the script yourself, and call it V-1. LOL
AI readings are one of my pet peeves. Mk II is Mark 2, not Em Kay Eye Eye.
it computing as hard as it can!
Annoying.
Yeah, hard to follow. It’s “Mark 2”, “Mark 5”, etc. Whatever you sound like, man, it’s got to be better than the computer voice.
He, she or it seems to have totally lost the plot with the post war Tempest VI. There are inexplicable duplications of Em Kay Vee that might be from extra shambolic edits or deletions of VI. There are pics of chin radiator Tempests with small leading edge air intakes which presumably were VIs? Perhaps the text to speech system could not attempt Vee-Eye?
A video about the Tempest with Tythoon on the video thumbnail.
Using a computer generated narrative doesn't work very well!
That was a Typhoon thumbnail.
If you're going to use robot narration, at least listen to it before you post the video. Fix errors like the "vee minus one" rocket and especially things that are repeated frequently that are the subject of the frikkin' video - no English speaker would ever refer to the Tempest Mk V as the "Tempest em kay vee" for gods sake. Hearing that 30-40 times in a video is annoying and the reason I didn't subscribe to your channel.
Exactly. Tempest Mk. V is read "Tempest Mark Five," NOT Tempest em kay vee, and Tempest Mk. II is read "Tempest Mark Two", NOT Tempest em kay eye eye.
_Well, my Mk IV in the garage is always very amused when I call this beauty from Coventry _*_"EM KAY EYE VEE"_** . . . ;-)*
At high altitude the Tempest was faster than the Me-262
The 262 was 90 mph faster than the tempest at any altitude.
The explanation is really confusing due to the synthetic voice
Tempest eye eyes is pathetic, V minus one flying bomb is worser!
The computerised voice is so bad , and so frequently fails on where the word emphasis should be, that I found it really difficult to even understand WTF the script was trying to say.
A pity, because this is one of the planes of the period I find most interesting.
Shows a Typhoon 🤦♂️ Fail 💩
Could you please get a person to narrate instead of listening to a robot getting all the designations incorrect its really horrible listening to this gibberish.
