Look, I understand from the beginning the store owner may not have understood what was going on. Okay, I get that, I understand. I'm not saying go ahead and take on 5 dudes with machetes, especially if you're outnumbered. My issue is with when Junior CAME BACK into the store with a neck wound, fell over the counter and was bleeding out (from another news source, it was said Junior asked for some water), right there store owner had an opportunity to help but instead told him to leave (that's very clear in the video, that Junior was told to leave). The boy was no threat then, he was mortally wounded (to those who say that Junior jumping over the counter could've been a robbing stunt) and the gangs were gone. When Junior came back in after the attack, the store owner could've then locked the doors (he was closing anyway), call the police and applied pressure to the kid's wounds. Even though Junior had a terrible neck wound, running two blocks to the hospital is what made it worse....he bled out faster doing that (especially since he was stabbed in an artery, running killed him much much faster). From another news source, store owner claimed he called police at 11 40pm and waited 4 min to speak to someone, police arrived about 10 min later (that's a long time considering Junior's attack was but a few minutes), when police came, Junior had already ran off. The bystanders (bless their heart) who FINALLY helped Junior when he collapsed on the sidewalk, flagged an ambulance at 12 25am which took Junior who according to news sources had already died before being treated by doctor. SO, that means this boy bled out for a good 45 min before he got some help. Had SOMEONE (perhaps store owner) from the beginning helped him stay still and added pressure to his wounds, there's a good possibility he would've survived, he would've made it. :( no matter how they try to twist this, the video speaks for itself, he could've helped that boy....but didnt. You can't misinterpret that video, its obvious that the store owner screwed up too. This new crappy story is to save face, I doubt the people will buy into it.

At that point , what the f is the owner supposed to do. He cannot prevent the stabbing from happening. Look, I understand from the beginning the store owner may not have understood what was going on. Okay, I get that, I understand. I'm not saying go ahead and take on 5 dudes with machetes, especially if you're outnumbered. My issue is with when Junior CAME BACK into the store with a neck wound, fell over the counter and was bleeding out (from another news source, it was said Junior asked for some water), right there store owner had an opportunity to help but instead told him to leave (that's very clear in the video, that Junior was told to leave). The boy was no threat then, he was mortally wounded (to those who say that Junior jumping over the counter could've been a robbing stunt) and the gangs were gone. When Junior came back in after the attack, the store owner could've then locked the doors (he was closing anyway), call the police and applied pressure to the kid's wounds. Even though Junior had a terrible neck wound, running two blocks to the hospital is what made it worse....he bled out faster doing that (especially since he was stabbed in an artery, running killed him much much faster). From another news source, store owner claimed he called police at 11 40pm and waited 4 min to speak to someone, police arrived about 10 min later (that's a long time considering Junior's attack was but a few minutes), when police came, Junior had already ran off. The bystanders (bless their heart) who FINALLY helped Junior when he collapsed on the sidewalk, flagged an ambulance at 12 25am which took Junior who according to news sources had already died before being treated by doctor. SO, that means this boy bled out for a good 45 min before he got some help. Had SOMEONE (perhaps store owner) from the beginning helped him stay still and added pressure to his wounds, there's a good possibility he would've survived, he would've made it. :( no matter how they try to twist this, the video speaks for itself, he could've helped that boy....but didnt. You can't misinterpret that video, its obvious that the store owner screwed up too. This new crappy story is to save face, I doubt the people will buy into it.

The bodega owner did the smart thing by telling him to run to the hospital, he has no medical experience. There's other people to blame what happened, the bodega owner was a bystander just like everyone that the kid ran by, who most likely stood around watched or left

In law (at least in the UK) it only takes the intent to cause GBH (grievous bodily harm) for you to be charged with murder. So even if dude only wanted to “fight” him if the victim dies as a result of the ordeal, then he’s on the hook for murder. Their intent was still to cause serious damage, which is proven by their use of weapons. Plus why are you casually carrying machetes if you’re going to a party please? I have no sympathy for any of them. They deserve the full force of the law, including that little girl who is behind this. And I hope Junior rests in power.

It does look like the owner of the Bodega tried to help Junior. Put yourself into his shoes. The owner did not know what was going. If someone runs into your shop and jumps over your counter, you would be confused too. The fact that Junior was in panic mode (rightfully so) and he ran just made the blood leave his body faster. As far as the cops go, if that was one of their own or a family member I guarantee they would have rushed that person in the hospital even if it was carrying him, not just stand there. From what I see in the video, the owners initial reaction is to stop JR from going over the counter which is a normal initial reaction. But then he lets junior hide behind the counter after JR seemingly explains what's happening . Unfortunately Jr pokes his head out a little bit just as one of the gangsters come in. At that point , what the f is the owner supposed to do. He cannot prevent the stabbing from happening.
And yes it does some really stupid to tell JR to run to the hospital after he had just been stabbed. However the owner doesn't know what's going on outside or if the gang members are waiting for JR . Had he taken Jr to the hospital he could've thought that he was putting himself at risk too.
