If we're being technical by the time AJ is a full grown adult society would've been rebuilt. I'm saying this because in the comics when Carl is like 20-30ish the world has rebuilt to the point zombies are rare and are considered exotic.
Whenever I see AJ. I feel sad because his parents died when he was an infant. He also literally grew up in a world of zombies and saw his friends die. And the fact that a little girl like clem who met a group of survivors and saw this kid and looked after him. It's just pure sad.
