I first saw this video a year ago and was blown away. I adore the drums (especially after the break in the middle), and the drummer gal who owns the beat. They are visually stunning and so different. It's a treat to see a bit of their country. Genesis is my favorite Otyken song/video; the giant heads are so fun. I've loved ethnic music since I was a kid. It doesn't take much for your ear to welcome a different kind of sound. It was great to see you sharing your reaction and spreading the word about this terrifically talented group. :)
Such truth you are saying and most people don't get that. Mainstream music is not cool anymore. Music like metal, or things more traditional are gaining terrain due to people realizing this is the best music among all. This is the reason why a lot of metal japanese bands are so relevant nowadays, bands like Otyken, The Who, Bloodywood, and traditional music from Asia and middle east, also.
"Storm" is the first OTYKEN song that I heard, and I fell in love with the group instantly. Her vocals, though not what Westerners would consider "professional", actually struck a chord within me, and I ended up adoring the sheer primal emotional energy that she has put into this (and most of her other) performances. The lead throat singer is also astoundingly amazing at his craft; those notes he hits in this song are incredible. Believe it or not, you are one of the few reviewers I have watched that actually appreciated the same things I have in OTYKEN. In this, I have become even more impressed with you as a person. So irritating to hear people say, "She's just screaming", while completely missing how much emotion and effort she put into those notes. Also, just in case you have not yet heard these two songs of theirs, "Genesis", and "White Mountain", I highly recommend them for you to listen to. "White Mountain" is so relaxing that you might even miss the inclusion of a Saxophone in the instrumentals; plus, it has become my go-to song for practicing overtones. EDIT: I was reluctant to include the song 'Paradise Lost", though it is such a wonderfully emotional song, as I wondered if someone who wasn't of indigenous descent would appreciate the weight of this song. I decided to go ahead and list it as another "must listen" just to appreciate their point of view more. The song is about a displaced people's sorrow at losing their homeland and their culture. If you decide to watch that video, please turn on the English subtitles as they are at least decent enough to convey the message OTYKEN is singing. Thank you.

Рыжая - Ты уникальная )))
Can anyone recommend more groups like Otyken and the Hu. I need more!
Dive into the You Tube rabbit hole, that's how I found Otyken, by following the The Hu and Heiling down that particular rabbit hole.
Just look up indigenous Folk metal or Jazz on UA-cam.

You are mistaken, this is not happening in Chile...yes, they are similar to the people of Peru in the same way that if you go back to the history of the Ice Age, then these peoples moved across the strait between Alaska and Russia.
The mistake is in the footnotes, not Beth's statement. The ethnic group is the Chulyms which presumably the ? autogenerator mistook for Chilean.
Thank God no one will sample them. Original beautiful real

They came from the northern forests, brave, messy, ingenious and just at the beginning of the journey. They first spread to the steppe, then to the interior of China, and then to the west like a flood with no end in sight!.:"
Although these tribes, families and tribes, which went down in history as Turks, are mostly symbols of barbarism in the eyes of Westerners, they established one of the high civilizations of Central Asia and intercultural peace and tranquility within the borders of sometimes small states and sometimes huge empires. Sometimes they were mamluks, sometimes they were masters, and sometimes they were each other's fiercest enemies. Have they ever given up on the religion they believed in from the very beginning, how much of a Buddhist, how much of a Christian, how much of a Jew and how much of a Muslim did they become? Was their only desire throughout all these centuries, all those wars, plunders, conquests, conversions and displayed wisdom, just to achieve peace and tranquility?
These Turks, Khalajs, Hiong-nus, Ottomans, Mamluks, Russians, Chagataids, Tu-kiu, Seljuks, Chinese, Indians, Karakoyunlu, Timurs, Arabs, Kazan, Tatars, Bulgarians, Turks, Huns, Kipchaks, Armenians, Pechenegs It is the story of the Safavids, the Ghaznavids, the Bayats, the Greeks, the Uzbeks, the Khitans, the Persians, the Ikhshids, the Tolunids, the Kurds, the Yakuts, the Kyrgyz, the Azerbaijanis, the Mongols, that is, the rights that shared a geography for centuries, the alliances and discords, that is, the story of the day in which we actually lived a geography for centuries. .
After Death in the Altai Turks, Sacred Plants and Animals in Central Asia, History of the Mongol Empire, Central Asia: History and Civilization, The Old Religion of the Turks and Mongols, the famous Turkologist Jean-Paul Roux takes you on a journey through 2000 years of history, what you think you know. invites you to witness events, people and beliefs that you have no idea about...
