02:50 so I have just the frame rails because the butterfly is not available till spring. I want to do the frame rails but I don't want to run into issues with not lining up the front butterfly brace. This guy does it no problem so I suppose I should give it a try. Right? Does anyone know the length between the two mounting points? Let's say my frame rails are back a bit by a quarter of an inch. This will mean the front brace won't attach right?
The current frame rail braces have captive nuts that line up with holes in the factory frame "rails" of the floorboard. Basically, these captive nuts line up with the holes, so as long as you install our frame rails to line the nuts with the holes, you'll be set for lining things up with the Butterfly. Feel free to reach out to out support team directly via phone or email if there is anything else we can help with!
Our supplier didn't offer that particular size in SS, and zinc keeps costs down while working for most applications. If you live in an extremely corrosive environment and have concerns, reach out and we can give you the specs so you can source stainless for your install.
Sorry about that. We've temporarily taken the listing down to make some changes while we wait for product. These should be back in stock and back on the site very soon! Please feel free to reach out to our customer support team directly for more info or a more solid ETA! Thanks!
In some years one of the factory bars might have to be removed to install the frame rails and butterfly brace. Give us a call or drop us an email for more specifics. 970-464-5600 support@flyinmiata.com.
Unfortunately, the V2 butterfly is not compatible with our earlier frame rails. The required mounting points overlap with some of the cutouts in the earlier design. The attachment points of the frame rails to the body are the same, so you can change to the newer frame rails without having to drill any new holes.
@@merlyn2121 So sorry for any confusion. We don't currently have the butterfly brace in inventory, but are expecting more very soon. You can use the "Email me when this product is available" option at this link:www.flyinmiata.com/default/flyin-miata-butterfly-brace-v2-0-upgrade.html Or please check back on the site in a few days, or drop us an email at support@flyinmiata.com with any specifics we can help with. @@FlyinMiataVideo I've been randomly checking back in for the rails & butterfly brace for months... Always out of stock, then in the past month the price went up a few hundred dollars... and still out of stock.
