I was a player attendant for an NBA team and Boban was on the team that year. One day a few hours before the game he saw us other player attendants (about 9 of us) sitting in our "break area" watching another game on TV, and he walked in and asks if he can watch with us. He sat down and for like 20 minutes we just hung out and got to talk to him. Boban really is a down to earth guy, very polite and loves to chat. One of my most favorite memories.

@@glakshmiratan Even if he wasn’t such a great person off the court, he is still phenomenal on the court with the minutes he plays. These extremely tall players like him and Tako fall always end up being really good for limited minutes but can’t play heavy minutes because they get fatigued very quickly. Considering how good he is as a player and a teammate he would be a great pickup for any team.

When he told the story of living through an environment where the "whole family slept in one room" just in case they were bombed, they'd "die together"...as a family touched my heart deeply.
To come from that terrified environment, living day to day, not knowing whether you/your family would die....and "still" have such a beautiful heart and not be tainted where you mistrust and mistreatment others but instead bring rays of sunshine, good will and good feelings wherever you go, speaks volumes about his beautiful spirit.
I knew nothing about this man until I saw the recent commercial with his NBA friend, Tobias, but I know him now and with so much dark personalities in the world's today, I am so glad I know he is a shining light.

Man when he was describing living in Serbia as a child, and when he said he wishes never to feel like that again, his eyes says it all. Poor guy. That sadness in his eyes shows how hard it is to live in conditions like that. And yet this man stays happy and omits positive energy to everyone. Here in America I think we take for granted our freeness and liberty. Only to be divided by the problem of race which we have been fighting for the past 200 years. Sad.
