YT Decoy for me. I Ordered the new elite. About 3 more weeks. Can't wait. Value compared to other bikes is great.
I rode the high end Santa Cruz Heckler and great bike. But 13k is ridiculous. Enjoy 2 for 1 value.

I was looking at the Decoy as well but can't decide which one I want LOL. I am looking at mullet setup or going full 29's front and rear. Leaning toward full 29's, but idk. My current Ebike is alright I got a screaming deal on it. Looking at Ebikes, the Decoy is in ballpark with Haibike, both great bikes. Specialized and Santa Cruz great bikes but again seems like they are greedy on the profit margin.

what about the size? i think the jeffsy in M has about the same reach and stack as the carpa in L. don't really know why. which sizes do you ride?

MoJo I would refer to the YT website all the frame dimensions are listed. As far sizing I run XL Capra and L Jeffsey because I like a longer wheelbase for more downhill oriented riding and for trail riding a shorter wheelbase I prefer for quicker handling and to shave weight. I am 6’3” I like the XL Capra and L Jeffsey.

what size did you go with and how tall are you? Thanks

Jeffsey went with Large, Capra went with XL. I probably should have got XL Jeffsey also but for trail/XC it's okay IMO to run a smaller frame for quicker handling. The XL fits perfect I am 6'3"

Would a 2017 capra be a good bike

Probably, I saw there were some suspension changes from 2017 to 2018.

Just picked up the Jeffsy core 2 2021 edition and brakes shifters and crank all feels absolutely garbage, so much play and shifters move on their own and brakes don’t grab

I though YT was good since everyone hyped it up but it’s definitely not worth it

Nothing like first hand experience feedback. I've noticed YT has been going cheaper on the components packages over the years while trying to hold near the same price for each trim level. The Core 2 components are considered lower end SRAM, I think Core 3 or Core 4 spec package you'd be much happier, except the price!

@@nc33228 Not as worth it as it used to be, prices have gone up more in line with the other brands to get a better spec package. Still the geometry and frame designs are solid.

@@timquinn465 I agree, I’m quite disappointed only after 2 rides, brakes I can deal with but sram NX is a no go especially when you sell a trail bike, the hub is 18t which is a odd to get used to, but I will resell or try to find alternatives, rear derailleur is going to get some work this afternoon after I set aside some time, I never expect these things to be tuned from factory but wow was it a mess ridding trails first time on the Jeffsy, after tuning shocks they felt quite nice and frame geometry felt smooth uphill as well, it’s kind of a turn off to have to spend over $4000 to get a bike your content with, anything less you’ll have to pick and choose

Did you sell the bike? I know on mine I tuned the suspension initially and it worked ok. Then I found that YT has a suspension guide and I went with the factory clicker settings and it was much better, definitely works well on choppy terrain but still balanced in the air on jumps. Going back to your derailleur if you are replacing I would go with a Shimano XT or better.
