He's actually not got much of an accent, esp. since he was born in Newcastle, of all places; they're often incomprehensible, ESPECIALLY for Americans, who are only familiar with 1 English accent (a la Hugh Grant). He may even be downplaying his "natural" English accent. Or, like mine, so much time in the US has caused a semi-fusion; he speaks a bit like I do & it's got a LOT of both American and English influence to it, which is easier for Britons to pick up on than Yanks.
